If u read the novel for that fight he wasn’t taking it seriously at all in fact he even states that he was holding back by a large amount. Judging of what we see of his power in the novel during this fight he wasn’t even a 5%. This is proven by the not from the manga/novel source writes saying his power is equal to if not greater than the true demon lords. In better terms the Novels states his power would be great enough to destroy the world just by using his true power for 5 minutes. There for I would say he’s holding back quite a bit!
