    great video! getting rid of the glass piece in the macro lens gave me a much nicer distorted fisheye look, but it seems like I can’t zoom in further than half the max zoom which I suppose was reason why they had the macro lens in the first place. thanks!

      Yeah the zoom is pretty much useless with these lenses, I guess that's the trade off for the fish eye effect. Can always take it off for close up shots I suppose 😁

      Lenses came from aliexpress, had the camcorder for years though. Full video is here if you need any more info! 👉 th-cam.com/video/8PqgC7-Csfo/w-d-xo.html

    Sony dcr sx33 have how to put lens?

      You'll need to check the manual for your particular model and see if it's compatible with external lenses, and it should tell you what size of lens you need. If you don't have the manual, they're usually pretty easy to find on Google. Hope this helps!

    Hey :) So i also removed the glass from the macro lens but now the image is super blurry :/ is there any way to fix this? Or is the distance of the fisheye to the sensor the problem?

    • @SkateboardingWithYerDa
      @SkateboardingWithYerDa  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah it could be moving the focal point beyond the camera's capabilities. You could try manual focus adjustment instead of auto focus if your camera has an option for that. Is it fully zoomed out? I had issues with getting it to focus when zoomed in.
      Sorry I can't be more helpful, I'm not an expert by any means, just something I enjoy tinkering with 😁

      Ah that's a shame, if you still have the macro lens you could always try putting it back in? at least then you can use it as a wide angle lens!

    How did you modify the lens brk

    • @SkateboardingWithYerDa
      @SkateboardingWithYerDa  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Inside the macro lens there's a plastic ring holding the lens element in place, you just have to get that out to remove the lens element then you've got yourself a spacer for the wide angle lens 😁 I had to drill a small hole through the plastic part then pry through the hole to lift it out. Hope that explains it, I didn't think to film it at the time!

    wich lens is that?

    • @SkateboardingWithYerDa
      @SkateboardingWithYerDa  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just a cheap generic wide angle lens, I got mine from ali express but you can get them from ebay, amazon etc. Just make sure the filter diameter is the right size for your camera. Hope this helps 👌

      @@SkateboardingWithYerDa and the one that you sent is a correct one? im worried about getting out the glass

    • @SkateboardingWithYerDa
      @SkateboardingWithYerDa  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well it depends what camera you have, it should tell you on the front of the camera near the lens. Look for a number with a diameter symbol ⌀ in front of it e.g. ⌀37 will be a 37mm thread diameter.
      The glass is a bit awkward to get out but if you're not gonna use the macro lens it shouldn't really matter if it gets damaged. If you watch the linked video it'll show in a little bit more detail, although I didn't film taking the lens out but with a bit of trial and error it should come away from the metal ring eventually 🙂

      It's a sony dcr-trv140e. Old digital 8mm tape camcorder, nothing to shout about by today's standards but great for retro videos!

      It depends on the lens thread diameter - it'll usually tell you what size you need on the front of the camera. If you can't find the right size of lens, you can usually buy a filter ring adapter to make it fit.
