Second: there are many Avenged Sevenfold songs I think you'd like (at least ones I like better) As far as the gory, to me, the song and video are portraying how violent history has been all through the ages and how people have been abused and killed at every stage and how people (the audience) just seem to revel in it and we never learn from our mistakes. Then finally the audience is in the show being killed because didn't wake up to what was happening, that the people in power are still doing the same things. Hahaha... They were being controlled but even the leaders didn't act without the approval of the crowd, "Who is the crowd?" We are not subjects to the things that happen but we are participants in it. As the Emperor in the colosseum gestured for the thumbs up or thumbs down to decide the fate of the warrior. Now apply that to the thumbs up/thumbs down like/dislike here on youtube to decide if someone channel lives or dies and the fate of their popularity. There's nothing new in the world! If we don't figure it out the cycle will repeat itself. I think it is one of the most profound videos ever made, and my favorite.

I think its fair to say you guys have been requested the songs with that are very concept heavy especially with the videos, most of their videos have a theme or story but aren't gore centric and I do feel like the videos are taking your attention away from the actual music (please feel free to correct me in that regard) . I would recommend going with their softer singles like Seize the Day , Dear God or So Far Away or some of their harder but more accessible tunes like Hail To The, Afterlife or King or Shepherd Of Fire

I think y’all would’ve understood it a little more if you would’ve known about the actual historic part of this song, just like every scene was an actual part in history and happened in real life. I think y’all would’ve understood it a little more if you would’ve known about the actual historic part of this song, just like every scene was an actual part in history and happened in real life. Yea it’s gory but they just recreated history with puppets, unlike most movies thats just made up 1 and 2 not usually historically accurate. Not to bash you guys or anything, I just think y’all would’ve understood it better in the beginning if you would’ve known that before hand which isn’t anyone’s fault, that’s all!
