11 year old me never knew what this song was all about and now after all these years as I am sitting alone in an empty library writing my research paper, every word of this song speaks to me. The uncertainity, hustle, feeling of inadequacy and being left behind, fear of failure, loss of relationship, fragility of human nature and everything else seems too overwhelming.

Best friend/brother showed me a7x when we were young losing him to Lake Michigan this music is the only thing that helps me feel. Miss you brother rest easy until we meet again.

They always made meaningful representations of self loathing and regret. They depict the sorrow felt from selfish acts that left devastating mental scars.
This is one of those songs that i can listen to on repeat and never get tired of it. M Shadows sings it with such raw emotion it gives me chills. Especially when he says so what if i never hold you or kiss your lips again. Then the guitar solo is up there with the best like November Rain. Gates is on the level with the greatest of a lifetime. Love it!
