I'm from Iceland and I know I was only 5 years old when this aired... but I really doubt that there where no drunk drivers back then. Today there is a ton of them all the time. Also, driving fast or recklessly outside of roads (glaciers don't count) can get you arrested or fined. Also alot of people are commenting here that ''they miss these good old times'', and that alot has changed in the past 20 years, well... I think mostly the icelandic media has changed. Fx. even though crime rates are simmilar as back then people feel less secure than before, and there for less free to do crazy things. Basicly... back then people where more relaxed.

It seems from the comments that Iceland isn't like this anymore. Why do all good things get ruined? Is there another country where people are more relaxed, cops don't terrorize their people, banks don't destroy wealth, governments don't outright rob everyone, and women aren't bratty blobs of McDonalds grease? I sure would like to live in a place like that.
Iceland has changed but it's still an amazing country. People here are relaxed, cops do not terrorize the people, sure banks did destroy our wealth but we put the bankers in charge in jail for it unlike so many others and governments don't rob us and if they do something we dislike we protest until they listen to us. Also Iceland doesn't have a McDonalds :)

*grew up in the PNW* *has used a wave runner in winter* *has done so in shorts* when you gotta tow a boat thats engine quit back, and your only option is to use a couple jetski style units as tugs... you do what you gotta do.... also note: it was cold as hell, but we changed, and took the units back out and went fishing off the island just above the hole the boat was headed for, had a nice little camp fire on the beach, and no the authorities/cops didnt mind, no way we were staring a wild fire even on the island... not with it being where it was... nore the time of year..(wet out but was the first truly nice day that winter.. we caught enough fish we had to have somebody meet us at the beach to pack it out, didnt feel safe trying to get 3 just barely legal(large) sturgeon to the docks and out... the game warden even helped us out said the fish looked great, later found out he started fishing that hole when he got the chance... heh...

A tuned one sounds about as good as a female orgasum, a real one, not the fake one that chick from the club gave you last night. Also, it has got to be the most versatile engine ever.
