    I got a free dubia cutting in a philodendron dark lord order. It was in moss and a little rooted but it didn't do ANYTHING while it was in the moss. I left it in moist moss for at least two months trying to get growth.
    I finally gave up and potted it. I decided it was going to either live or die but I needed the moss.
    Within like a week of being in soil (well draining with bark bla bla bla) it FINALLY put growth out.
    I get the feeling it's a super demanding feeder.

      oooooh very interesting! Maybe I'll pot these up and see if they do anything because it's seriously been like 6 months lol

      @@GoodGrowing honestly mine was closer to probably 3 or 4 without growth now that I think of it (baby is 2 months and I got the dubia way before giving birth) but yeah the second it was in soil it activated growth on each node of the four I had

      @GoodGrowing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Lorenmcdee hmmmm okay I've potted one up now. Hopefully it works but if not that's okay too! Thanks for the advice!

    I love your collection! Well, I love how you love your Monstera collection.
    I don't like variagated monstera, they just don't do it for me. That's good news for my wallet! I do like the blister variagated one, the siltepecana. I have a siltepecana, Adansonii, and deliciosa myself. All three are cuttings which have just been transferred to soil, so I'm very eager to see them grow.

    You need to give them spring water … I’ve had amazing luck with either “geiser” or “arrow head” brand water … the browning stopped completely since switching from tap to this water … if you’re in the states of course

    • @GoodGrowing
      @GoodGrowing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      interesting! I'll have to try distilled water on them but I can't fathom the long term expense with the amount they drink 😂

    My Dubai was a total arse to get growing, it was in a prop box rooting but no leaves. Put it on a moss pole and it finally started up so if they have established roots maybe try one on a pole? Now its started growing its gone mad and put on 3 leaves so fingers crossed for yours too!

    Hi Emma, I have a question about propagating my monstera deliciosa. I have a really huge one with very big leafs and would love to give the top cutting to a friend, but since she lives further away it would be best if I could just give her a single leaf cutting, because that would be easiest to transport. Is it possible to cut off and propagate the very newest leaf as a single leaf cutting? If so, where do I have to cut it? In general, I am very confused how to make top cuttings. Does the "sleeping eye" have to be on the top cutting or remain on the mother plant? I know it has to go when it comes to mid cuttings, but because the top cutting continues to grow at the top, I think it might not need it... or does it? I'm soooo confused! And I really don't want to make a mistake because I love the plant so much :')

    • @GoodGrowing
      @GoodGrowing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      if you're giving your friend the top cutting, just make sure to cut below the node. if you want to shoot me some pictures on IG of the area around the base of the leaf I can maybe draw a line to say where I would cut it.

    Loved the Video Emma 👏 I've had the browning Problem as well and I did some research and now I'm adding a Cal-Mag Fertilizer to my Routine. The Cal-Mag is especially good for Foliage. So fingers crossed, maybe it helps 🤞
    And Yes 🌱🌱🌱 I would love a Video about Keiki Paste

    I cho my monstera albo yesterday all the leaf was growing like potho very tiny so hopefully with the chop and prop her leaves get bigger

    • @GoodGrowing
      @GoodGrowing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ooh yeah hopefully chopping and propping will help. If your plant is quite young though it may take some time before it grows leaves with fenestrations. Just be sure to keep it in bright indirect light and that should help speed up the process! good luck!

    Can you talk more about the low temps for the Albo Monstera? I have never herd that and now I'm way interested.

    • @GoodGrowing
      @GoodGrowing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've got a video on variegated monstera care where I talk about temperature for a bit. But in general, the warmer it is (until like 27C) the better your plants will grow as most originate from warm tropical climates
