MINDY! GUESS WHAT! I'M OFFICIALLY A MOM! I had my baby girl on the 28th. There's truly no other love like this! 😭😭 She was six weeks early due to preeclampsia so she's in the NICU, but she's healthy and happy! I look forward to being able to bring her home!!! I'm hoping in the next week. 🥹🥰🩷

I always do that when I find animals inside my house, until I successfully pick them up and lay them on the floor outside and tell them "now, go on, of you go". 🥰
If you want to know God, the best way to truly know Him is to read the Bible. I recommend getting a study Bible to help with some difficult passages. Then someone suggested to me to start in the gospel of John (New Testament), then read through 1st, 2nd and 3rd John, then return to the beginning of the New Testament (Matthew, Mark, Luke, etc). I personally have been finding my John MacArthur Study Bible to be very helpful.

I definitely recommend watching Barbie, I had my husband watch it and he was surprisingly pleased. There’s a lot of underlying social messages that a lot of women can relate to. As a new mother, I cried so hard during that 1 kitchen scene. ❤

Try a women’s Bible study. See if a church near you that has one. You don’t have to be a member. I think Beth Moore and Priscilla Shirer were my first. You can also do a study by yourself or with a friend(s). I did one with my mom and loved it. 😍. She is gone now but I have that memory 💕

Mindy! I found Ashley Hetherington here on YT and she is amazing and just so sweet. She's so full of the Holy Spirit and I think you will love her! She just came out with a devotional that she wrote, too. She has tons of vlogs and videos just about exiting that lukewarm era and finding the fullness that God brings to our lives. She's in a different stage of life from us (I'm like you, a mom and wife - she's younger and isn't married, doesn't have kids yet, but she's still relatable), she's adorable and so fun.

I recommend finding a church!! Look at their websites to see what they’re about, listen to sermons online, and when you find one with everything you want (sound preaching, a children’s ministry, etc) start attending and join small groups!

They have ladies on with such encouraging words, sometimes even spot on to situations I've faced. Always praying for you and your family! ❤

Siete makes a lot of good, healthy snacks. I personally thought the churros snacks had a strange after taste. But we've tried a bunch of their other snacks we really like. Even my picky kids like their stuff.

Mindy please check out Uninvited by Lisa TerKeurst. It’s a great book for women and mothers. I used to work at a Christian bookstore and this was my all time fave. Great for a book group too! 💕

Finally finishing this video after putting my little gal down to bed. Barbie, 100% watch. My husband found it boring (because he also never played with Barbie’s) HOWEVER, it’s more than just “Barbie doll”. It’s about how women are constantly looked at to do better and be better and be thinner etc. And in the end there is a montage about being a Mom and I ugly sobbed. It’s so much more than just Barbie dolls. I recommend so much.

Snake in toilet is number 1 fear bc we have oxidation pond and our pipes only come through our ground to pond and toilets so totally could happen bc we live right by a lake where snakes abound!

Barbie is very good! You don’t have to have played with Barbies growing up to enjoy it. My husband even enjoyed it. With you being close with your momma, you would really appreciate the overall message in it!

Hello Mindy! The Busy Moms Bible, is great one to pick up if your seeking to learn and build a relationship with god. You purchase one off of Amazon, I have this bible and love it!!! Ideally I start my days off waking up earlier than everyone else in my home and devote some time to just pray and convesate with god and then finish off with some busy mom bible reading ❤

when I started my journey with searching and wanting to know more about God I started by getting a study bible they really break the bible down and explain things in the bible... I also started a bible reading plan for throughout the year ( most churches have bible reading plans available on their websites to printout so you can keep track of chapters/verses you read each day. and also joining a church that teaches you about salvation will help you tremendously learn everything you are searching for...praying for you in your reaching out to God I can tell you it was the best decision I''ve ever made and ever will make! I Gave my life to the Lord in 1993 and never regretted that.. praying you may one day do the same...much love and hugs and prayers for your journey

You will love that book by Katie Davis Majors ! She is a strong Christian and an amazing person. She has written other books about her life (missionary in Uganda, adopting many children, etc etc.)
Another great Christian writer is Max Lucado. Ive learned so much from him and his style if writing is so wonderful.

Side note... Kail Lowry from Teen Mom reads a lot! She just read 8 books for the month of March and does a little review of each book. Maybe there's a read in there that you might be interested in.
Don't feel like you need to jump into seeking God head first. It's a journey and we spend years seeking and learning about God in so many ways. One way you can is just popping into a church. There are such wonderful people there who can answer your hard questions. One pastor that helped me with my pursuit was Andy Stanley. His preaching and his church helped me so much! They have a place where you can go as a seeking person and ask the questions you need but I know other churches have people who can help too. You just have to ask! Follow where you feel is best. God will lead you, He always does. I have seen so many people find Jesus in so many different ways. There isn't one way to find Him but keep seeking girl! He's not as far as you may think ❤️
