I’m so glad that at 5:51 your school still teaches the importance of 9/11. We must never forget, as we don’t want history to repeat itself. I was 7 years old at the time and I remember every detail of it. Literally the other day I saw a TH-cam short, where college students were asked what 9/11 was about. They couldn’t even answer. That broke my heart. 😢 Thank you, Kathy for teaching about this solemn, but an honoring and important day of remembrance to your students. ❤

My admin is pretty chill so we can wear jeans any day of the week. A lot of teachers do dress up Monday-Thursday and Friday, we wear casual with our school shirts 😊

We wear whatever that's comfortable haha. We can wear hoodies and sweats, jeans, leggings. I wear workout clothes and sweat sets!

We do iReady diagnostics, as well. It’s 1st grade though. So they don’t really feel any particular way about it. 😂

I’m at a primary school. We do jeans on Monday with a dressy top. Fridays are T-shirt and jeans. Tuesday through Thursday is business casual. No jeans. But we do get bonus days where we can wear jeans. Like last week our principal was sick so she let us wear jeans Wednesday and Thursday as well. Next week is homecoming week for our high school, but we are participating. So if we participate individually we can wear jeans those days. So lots of opportunities to wear jeans pretty often. I like how it works.

My district has no written dress code, but it's an expectation from admin that you only wear jeans on Friday. It doesn't bother me though! I'm not someone who navigates towards jeans anyway, so I don't think it changes what I wear.

At my current school we can wear jeans whenever we want! My previous school we could only wear jeans on friday if we paid $1.00

Previously we could only wear jeans on Friday but we have new admin this year and now we can wear jeans everyday but Mon-Thurs but be a professional top.

That’s exactly how I have my cart labeled-by subject. I tried the days of the week but it’s easier for me just to pull what I need from each subject and set it out for the next day.

How do you get your lesson plans and grades done so you don’t have to take them home or they don’t pile up?

For the first couple of weeks we had to stay after school! Now that we have the rhythm down we can easily enter plans and flip through cirriculum to do that a little quicker! My team teacher and I have diff things we print off for the both of us

Did you start having a student sit at the desk that is behind you because I see a chair there ? How does the student sit the whiteboard from there ?

During instruction they sit with a group or carpet with others. I have differentiated seating when I am teaching

@@KathyKellogg what other student are you taking about ? Do you mean the student of the week get to sit at the desk that is up front and when are you planning on starting small group ?
