This is an amazing rendition of the song. God's blessed this man with an amazing voice. Blessed be God and may God bless you for using this gift to bless Him
Oh! I was in Hazel Green just months before that! And MISSED IT! I absolutely love this song, and this is one of the best renditions I've everr heard. I just added it to my "Down From His Glory" Playlist! I will be sure to stop and visit your church one day as I pass through Hazel Green on my way through to or from one of my missionary trips.
Nice. I hadn't heard this before, but am looking for Christmas music and stumbled across a familiar name from my past. Well done, Mr. Billingsley, well done.
Charles, I love your rendition of one of my favorites. Quite frankly, I don't think I've ever heard a "country" rendition of this. Was there an album made of the famous choir in Brooklyn choir you sang with. Was it Brooklyn Tabernacle by any chance?
Not bad - I first heard this in 1959, sung by Tony Fontaine, Phil Kerr on piano. Charles could have included the 2nd verse instead of talking for 1:25.
My mother used to sing this song, accapella, while she cleaned our home. 😢
Beautiful voice, heartfelt. TGBTG! God bless your singing ministry!
Magnificent song, beautifully sung! What a marvelous saviour!❤
Oh how I love my Lord and Savior. This is what Christmas really is!

I met Charles Billingsley once on a Christian cruise. He's very nice and extremely talented.
