Hallelujah!!!! The Great Creator Became my Saviour! I owe You my life Great Lord Jesus. Thank You Abba for the life and talents that You Gave to Chip Dorton, such a blessing 🙏✝️🐑🇮🇱❤️🙌
Where do voices like that come from? Effortless, heartfelt, meaningful, powerful voices. I have been kissed by my Creator today in hearing this song of praise! My tears were only that of the purest joy. My God has touched me again today. Have you fallen in love with Him again? I did, thank you Lord.
I used to sing in symphony. Technique-wise, the vocal chords are a talent one is born with (though you can improve through training). The other major factor is lung capacity. It's no accident this man was Big, as well as Luciano Pavarotti, etc.
After playing piano from the age of 2, when I gave my heart to Jesus when I was 21 the Lord flooded my heart with multiple piano hymns, and this was one of the first 5. I love singing it!
Thankful for years of Memories of beautiful Worship Music and for Chip Dorton. I remember the morning he came to my preschool class and we were making pancakes that day for breakfast. He gathered the kids around him and he taught them to sing "I like to make the pancakes!" Such fun and wonderful memories. This song is my favorite.
I was a member of this wonderful choir for 7 years and I can tell you that Chip was a blessing to all who sang with him or heard his songs. He even went on a choir trip and tried to sing his solo song but was too sick to actually sing. His cancer just took over his body. We miss him but know he is blessing people like my mother in heaven just waiting to see us - his friends and fellow choir members one day.
Absolutely Heavenly what a gift Chip had. Hair standing on the back of my neck. A powerhouse. Rest well in Glory dear child if God. It's an honor to have heard this Heavenly voice .
wow I bet that was amazing. I got to hear Chip at the Pastor's Conf just before he passed away. When I watch him sing in this video he makes it look easy.. An awesome voice.
What a glorious arrangement of my favorite hymn! In the summer of 1960, at twelve years of age, I was attending the brand new First Assembly of God Church in Wichita, Kansas. Paul Ferrin was the music director and Victor Trimmer was the preacher. Paul and the choir sang this song and Pastor Trimmer preached and I gave my heart to Jesus. Then my mom, dad and sister were saved and we were all baptized in that church.
DOWN FROM HIS GLORY Down from His glory, ever living story, My God and Saviour came, and Jesus was His name; Born in a manger to His own a stranger, A Man of sorrows, tears and agony! Oh how I love Him! How I adore Him! My Breath, my Sunshine, my All in all! The great Creator became my Saviour, And all God’s fullness dwelleth in Him! What condescension, bringing us redemption, That in the dead of night, not one faint hope in sight; God, gracious, tender laid aside His splendour, Stooping to woo, to win, to save my soul! Without reluctance, flesh and blood, His substance, He took the form of man, revealed the hidden plan; O glorious mystery sacrifice of Calvary! And now I know He is the great “I AM”! .
Wow, I love your songs. It brings up the old times. I am now 44 yet I heard this and the other songs when I was a little boy. Until Then and the other songs blest me so much again. Thank you, FBC. I wish to hear you sing live someday. If not here on earth, it will be in heaven. Thanks to you all at FBC.
My favorites song of all time..ive heard this song way back 1980's..never thought i can sing it..learning to sing more on his high notes..incredible..this arragement you felt something of the glory of God..felt like you're in heaven..you'll never get tired hearing this song..sad bec he is now in heaven..thank you for singing this song ..
This is a song about the oneness of God. The truth of God. Jesus Christ! Whether you know it or not, whether you believe it or not, it’s about the blessed and holy ONEness of Jehovah Jesus.
I live in Brunswick Georgia, about an hour away. It was a great blessing to be able to drive down and attend First Baptist Jacksonville for several years, and hear Chip in person! We miss him but the choir in Heaven gained a great singer!
Such an extremely special talent! Thank you for sharing. May God bless this video to bless many hearts that watch and listen to this video. Praised be to GOD. Soli Deo Gloria!
What exceptional excellence in production and performance! Even the video, from 2000, looks better than most performance videos you might catch on TH-cam. But beyond that, the touch of heaven is evident! The gospel, compressed into this lovely song, and then sang with anointing and great talent. Amazing!
Just heard this for the first time. WOW amazing. and I was thinking the same thing. what great quality - so much better than most YT videos today and this was from 2000? Just amazing. some really talented people on the back end of this.

Yes, I can tell you what I know. This is an adaption of O'sole Mio.(Italian Love song) This adaption was Written by the founder of the Salvation Army, William Booth. O" sole Mio is about a love between a man and a women but Mr. Booth properly rendered it between God and man. This song is so beautiful to a beautiful God who loves us so immensely that he came to save us when we could not save ourselves. ❤

Wow! My mama would have loved this rendition. Thank you for using your voice for the aLord.
He has a strong operatic voice. People like that can also make their mark in opera, which can be sublime in terms of hitting those high notes.
Jehovah of the Old Testament became Jesus of the New Testament. Praise the Mighty Name of Jesus who loved me and gave himself for me !!
Jesús one of the Holy trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit each one them is God but they aren't the same substantial person 🙏💙

Chip, I still miss hearing you in person. But my ways are not God's ways. How selfish of me to want Chip back here to sing when Heaven is his home.

WOW, What a powerful song!
I remember when Chip sang at one Pastor's Confernce with John Mcarthur as the speaker that night. After he was done, John Mcarthur couldn't speak for a few moments.
I am touched by the melody he has.
And high pitch
I was there also. You are right. He did this song
McArthur said, “I’m not going to sing…but… I bring you a word from God.” BOOM!!!
Chills. Praise to The Lord.

Glory be unto God
This was an evangelistic song in the vernacular sung by a British tenor while they were doing evangelistic crusade in the Philippines.
So wonderful, this and many other songs.
It was great to sing with chip.
This guy is on par with Pavarotti and Placido Domingo in terms of an operatic and angelic voice.
thank u 4 sharing :)
Halleluyah!

Who is the arranger? Where can I buy this sheet music? It's so beautiful!

What are the lyrics please?
what arrangement is this?
would there be sheet music to this?

Gracias por su comentario! Gloria a Dios!
You absolutely destroyed that song !!
Too bad, chemotherapy claimed the life of this gifted singer... Any type of cancer at any stage can be cured by natural means in matter of months.
What natural means would that be?
Can someone help me with this song lyrics? I found it different than any lyrics "Down From His Glory" on internet. Thank you so much.
Yes, I can tell you what I know.
