You absolutely nailed it Rowe. This is a great analysis of the Raimi trilogy and I most especially like how you talk about Spiderman 3. As someone who always loves the film, it's great to see you point out everything that makes it great. However, I did personally read the symbiote a little different. It doesn't just push him into darkness, it kinda pushes out this deep down desire he's had since the beginning. The suit boosts his confidence and ego even more, but Peter does this all himself. It's a very interesting direction to take and makes the scene of him ripping off the suit a lot more symbolic. Either way, loved hearing your perspective.
My favorite part of the Raimi trilogy is how you could remove the villains and the movies would still feel complete with their characterization and plots. As long as we pretend Venom doesn’t exist, all the villains simply add to the conflict even more and really help portray the underlying messages from a different perspective.
