so with the scan to cut data how could I leave a border around the design like you can on the direct cut function? On the direct cut function, I can't get it to get inside my letters in my detailed designs. I use this to cut my tshirt transfers and I like leaving the white background.

Maybe it’s just me? I’m sorry but, I really wish everyone would slow down a bit. Is there some kind of rush to get the video done in a certain amount of time? However with this method you can't add the offset/inset is that correct? Amazes me that there hasn't been an update to add this option, it's the only thing about my SNC2 that I hate.
since I've done the latest update on my CM550 I've not been able to load any of my mats, do you know how or if i can uninstall this update? many Thanks Carol
Hi Julie! I am creating a project that calls for Lots and Lots of words on fabric. I am having trouble with the Canvas workspace site. Every project I create in workspace, I get an error message that it cannot convert my project. Can you send me a link to the entire process of creating on canvas workspace , saving to my computer , converting to svg, saving to my usb? thanks in advance!! Love your videos!!
I wanted to know is there away I can take a svg or fcm or Clipart of my own and make a stamp I have looked all over Web and can't find anything other then using what comes with it thanks so much
You did an easy tutorial there, made the machine look amazing. Im having a lot of trouble with mine and feel like just giving up on it. So your design was quite clear and precise. What would you have done if when you looked at it on your screen the outline was not complete? I keep getting that my machine cuts too well even cuts eyes and fur out. Or it only cuts a bit and cant read clear outlines properly. Im having trouble with my mat, it lost its stickiness after about a day. Now its too sticky because I put special glue on it. I finally managed to cut a good image from the direct cut image that is already programmed in, it was so sticky that I couldn't get it off the mat.
I think they have different machines than the ones they sell us lol....I bought this to direct cut decoupage....when it works...which is occasionally, it's great..but 90% of the time it doesn't recognize the outlines of what I want...then I do the overlay....and it still doesn't always recognize the outline...totally frustrating....
make sure ALL your lines are 'Connected'(do this before scanning), go over with a black sharpie pen if needed. what I do, I write down each step she says, (pause when needed), than I have written instructions also besides the 'Saved' video...I tried mine out today for the 1st time, and when it didn't scan certain lines completely, I in-loaded the mat, used the sharpie, went over the lines where it didn't scan, and scanned it again, and it worked fine...Hope this helps...

sorry but that was NOT direct cut, that was scan to cut data - if you were using a stamp or die or such that would be breaking copyright (most let you do this only if you DO NOT save the data)

"if you were using a stamp or die or such that would be breaking copyright (most let you do this only if you DO NOT save the data)" see breaking copyright, meaning you CANNOT SAVE THE DATA as you are breaking the law, unless you have permission to do so. it's possible you could do direct cut but you are in a grey area so please do tell me where in my post I say about selling anything, let alone the design?
because it would be the only way your comment makes sense. you can stamp, scan and save...and use it for your own craft. You CAN NOT SELL THE DESIGN OF THE STAMP...but you can sell your designed card with the stamp on it. I suggest you do your research.
I should also add, what's the difference from cutting out a stamped designed with your scissors and saving it in a paper folder? Think through before commenting.
+Rosemary Zuba you might try not being so rude the difference is, a LOT of fair use policies say you cannot reproduce the design electronically - scanning it in IS electronic. the stamp is made to stamp, you cutting by hand is NOT electricity. but you know what, as you think you know everything. good luck. when a designer finds you are illegally scanning their designs and sues you, your problem. if someone with the machine follows your 'advice' and they get sued, I hope they name you saying this person said it's OK. maybe YOU should do YOUR research - but I don't care about what happens to you, it's your problem

Hi it would be nice if you could make a outter line useing the scan to cut to like u can when you use the direct cut
so I would like to know what is the best one to use price don't matter I do graphic art would love to make stencils and cut outs

How did you get that image on the gold paper? Is that card stock?
