I love this weapon (also have an auraxium on it). I completely agree with what you said in this video, and also support your phrase "TR's Heavy Slugger". This weapon is not a close-range weapon, but where it excels is in medium-long range. Maybe it is just me, but I find that fitting a 3.4x dot scope on the weapon allows me to take out targets at distances where the MSW-R just has a panic attack. Awesome review xD
As an avid TMGSHITTY user I can agree with pretty much all the information you gave in this video. I question your use of the HS/NV, but then again I play with muzzle flash off. It's generally better to not use it though since it does cut off a lot of your peripheral vision.
Definitely one of my favourite TR LMGs. I used the CARV for a while when I first made my TR character, but as soon as I discovered the TMG-50 (and the MSW-R), I pretty much moved on and never looked back. :D It's a great weapon once you get the hang of using it.
I credit the TMG as the weapon that got me playing as TR. Coming from a NC background originally, the carv felt awful and i vowed to get this weapon ASAP. Never regretted my decision and was the first TR Aurxium medal. Interestingly, contrary to what wrel recommends, i used a x3.4 scope and a RDS.at the time. But that was when i fell out with the foregrips and i wanted ADS zoom to feel more meaningful then a x2 and x1 scopes. Probably now i'll add the x2 T sight and a foregrip with it. Compensator if i knew i was farming or playing the very long range game.
I am amused. Your my personal best Planetside 2 youtuber (the absolute best according to the public actually) and you also manage to keep good content on your channel while doing cinematic recording and editing for the main Planetside 2 channel.. you are a good person.
Great Weapon. My only gripe is when I go from the NS-15M I very much miss the .75 movement multiplier. This weapon is amazing for suppressive fire as well, since every shot you land will do significant damage to that target and probably force more than one of them to back off to heal or die trying to advance.
Thank you for the tutorial. I was becoming frustrated with this weapon (52kills into it so far) so I figured I'd look up a weapon review. I believe your advice on, "Play support while you learn this weapon... then later, after you become more confident, you can break out on solo play". I also ads frequently with my play-style, so learning not to subconsciously ads is going to be a bit of a pain.

I especially liked your previous videos about more abstract subjects such as handling negative emotions when gaming (or in general, for that matter) and maintaining a progressive attitude to be able to improve oneself. These are the kinds of gaming videos we actually need more, there are tons of omg-crazy-fun game review channels on youtube which of many can be entertaining to watch, but very few scratch beyond the surface. In addition of having intelligent content, on your videos you actually sound like you "are present", mean what you say, and say it directly to the viewers. There is a difference in just recording 15m of yourself commenting something and in making something that people can relate to, be it gaming reviews or anything else. Of course, the weapon/equipment reviews and the pure technical data are/is also extremely useful. I miss the oldschool TMG. After the update (major nerf) in year 2014 i think, the weapon became what it is now, whitch is still good. But back then, if you were further away than 30 meters you were guarantied to win every firefight. It had no recoil, you could literally hold down the trigger and every bullet would hit on target. I miss thouse days, SOE plz "un-nerf" TMG-50, the only proper long range weapon tr ever had. Anyway, awesome weapon, awesome vid. Was my first Auraxium medal, and I approve of what Wrel said! Except maybe I'd only recommend using a 1x red dot on it. :D

Wrel Would you ever consider going back and re-reviewing the NC6 Gauss Saw? Personally i would love to see the review of it touched up and with newer brighter gameplay as opposed to the current guide that was put out quite some time ago. I am unaware if the weapon was changed at all between way back then and now, but i feel like the slight brush up on the video would be nice. I'm attempting to teach a friend of mine how to use the Saw, but i cannot seem to convey the same points you do as effectively. I'm sure others as well would benefit from this. Anyways, the quality on your videos is exceptional as always, keep up the fantastic work friend.

I've been using this weapon for a couple of weeks now, I got it and the Rhino to play around with. I find I like the TMG-50 more than the Rhino. Just about everything in this video review is spot on, people considering trying this weapon take note of the comments regarding rate of fire. Great gun especially if you can land consistent headshots, right now I am hitting about 30%
+Kenneth Sullivan I completely agree. I decided to pick this one up after getting Auraxium on the Rhino, and while the Rhino's higher RoF is nice, the TMG-50 just feels like a better weapon. I also picked up the HV ammo when I bought the gun. I removed it almost immediately. The gun really is much more accurate without it.
I auraxiumed the TMG 50 personally is my go to TR LMG when i face a orion or a betelgeuse or any cqc user at mid range, going for headshots they got down before they can respond, of coourse at cqc you must have a while of experience with this gun, im with wrel that hipfire is not a such good idead for this gun, but at less 5 meters if you get faced by the enemies hipfire to the head as much you can and rapid burst firing, thats how i survuived a lot of times aginst pesky infiltrators and LA and dont equip HVA it has more drawbacks than benefits
The TMG is the weapon I go to when I get tired of the Carv and the T32 Bull, but I feel like the role of the T32 Bull really overlaps with the role of this weapon as a heavy slugger. Sure, it's 500 certs more, but I think the muzzle velocity alone really makes it so the Bull outclasses the TMG is almost every situation. It's like an indirect accuracy buff for it, and given the rate of fire of the weapon, I just don't find myself reaching for it all that often. Good review Wrel.
Would you ever consider giving the MAX a look, I almost exclusively run MAX, when I am not MAX, I am either heavy, or in a tank. I know its a very odd playstyle, carries some hate from a lot of people who don't quite understand the class's role, or its nuances that actually make it one of the more difficult classes to run effectively, and actually make a difference. I might be a little biased I dunno, I ran MAX all the time, even in PS1. I never felt like a force multiplier, as much as the one who had to do all the dirty work, and the one who was hunted by the entire enemy force. I would love it if just one youtuber would have at the very least, a more reasonable opinion about the whole thing. Anyways, I digress. Great vid, and thanks for sticking with PS2,
The only difficult thing about the MAX is getting 250 certs for the second A.I. gun, after that its just point and click. Literally the easiest thing to play in the game.
Jimmie Rustles I did not deny that its an infantry killer, that's its role, and it serves it well, but the actual difficult part about the MAX is learning where to apply that power, and learning where you will probably end up dead. A MAX suit requires more situation awareness than your standard class, you will often find yourself in a pretty shitty situation, and you are to far stuck in to retreat, where other classes could easily haul ass out. Plus there is also the teamwork aspect, the MAX without backup is a lone wolf with its legs cut off, and striped most of its vital organs, yea the bite still hurts, but the thing is doomed to wither and die. The MAX is arguably one of the more tactically reliant classes as you must have very specific ingredients to make it work, which are not always there. It has major flaws, and for a war machine in a video game, that's good, but I don't for a second doubt its ability to kill, I just doubt the users competence in understanding how to use it properly
***** Being a Max in PS2 is like if in Halo everyone is playing a Marine and you're the Spartan. OP as shit. Though MAX does require at least SOME skill, especially if you're going to contrinuously play it (you'll need to stay alive and fighting until the infantry resources refill) and hey MAXes ARE indeed quite helpful.
***** I learned how to fly via Battlefield 1942, where flying is actually harder and the planes are slow, brittle and can't hover, it ain't THAT difficult, but at least at first until you get used to the way the MAX functions and get your loadouts straightened out, it can be pretty tough to play as a MAX continuously. While it does require less skill, it requires MORE experience with the game, as any other infantry class already exists in other games. You can only hone your MAX skill in Planetside 2, and there is SOME nuance to playing the MAX and being good with it.

ANY LIGHT ASSAULT IN THE ENTIRE FUCKING CONTINENT PLEASE COME C4 ME TO OBLIVION!", or the fact that as MAX you're vulnerable to ALL kinds of enemy and friendly fire, including bullets, anti-vehicle rounds, grenades, rockets, ground-lock rockets, all MAX weaponry, all tank weaponry etc etc and so if you walk right into the middle of a high population fire-fight, chances are you ain't gonna survive for more than 50 miliseconds unless you have SOME sort of skill, or even the fact that you can't enter most of the vehicles and you can't pilot any of them, so you're gonna have to travel with a team at all times. Oh and there's also the fact that your long-range capability is limited, especially if you haven't unlocked the longer range AV weapons, since you've got no ability to aim. But yeah ok, I still agree for the most part, though I'd rather be an engie or a heavy or a light any day of the weak simply because I find it's just more fun when you've got freedom of movement and the ability to help out your teamates by repairing or healing or blowing shit up, plus the weapons are just more fun to use (like my trusty burting Repeater or my professional CARVing too)l. I dunno, being in a MAX just feels too "foreign" for me to be enjoyable.
Could you do a tutorial on when to move and when not to? It's something I've been having a bit of trouble with the Rhino in that regard, and it seems like something that a lot of people don't know or don't understand.
personally love the tmg 50 i think it was the first gun i got a gold medal with, then sadly i kinda put it down and rarely pick it up again, tbh i blame the bull since it fits an all round playstyle better, that being said the tmg works well with my "get the most powerful shot for shot gun and take it in close to get the most out of it" style of play
Always have trouble when I play Planetside 2 because all the infantry weapons seem to be fairly close range, yet all the battles I find tend to be extremely long-distance with vehicles and loads of enemies keeping you from the "front lines" weapons seem to be effective with
I do not often play TR. But when I do I use the TMG-50. Wrel the one factor you did not expand upon is the DakaDaka factor. TMG-50 is such a meaty sounding LMG that empowers the player. Thus I agree a silencer should not be used for different reasons. The TMG-50 is best used when closing the distance to a base, and over watch position, and countering snipers.
I main NC so this is a near carbon-copy of the Gauss SAW S, which is my go-to versatility weapon. Just picked this gun up on my alt and looks like I'll enjoy it a lot.
Weapon is almost identical to NC6S Gauss SAW S as you can play them similarly and they're strengths vary on minor level as a whole. TMG-50 is more important for the TR though as it's the only LMG with high damage. Both are good LMGs that work if you burst your shots.

You seriously need to review the more obscure weapons in planetside 2. Like the burst carbines ( a great at best, but the first shot recoil is too much for anyone to handle and are just glorified stock weapons) or the semi-auto scoped sniper rifle... yeah, anyone who plays planetside 2 knows that semi-auto snipers are like THE WORST. Good review as usual, thx I wish I could play TR, but I am working on my NC. Only one note: the advice aim to the head is redundant (in yours and everyone else review). Apart from shotgun (and maybe very high rof weapons) is always better aim to the head (obviously it is not so easy)
TMG-50 is the best LMG weapon for the TR in my opinion, thanks to it i got 1.5 kd (not trying to show off, just saying.) Damn, i just love that LMG sooo much, i have the most hours invested into that amazing gun.
I personally run the TMG-50 with a 3.4x scope seeing as this weapon is to be used at longer ranges than other TR LMGs. I'll admit, the vertical recoil is a bitch and a half but I find the side to side recoil more annoying when trying to burst fire someone far away.
Wrel , hi. Around min 8 you start explaining that this weapon is great when standing still, but at min 8:25 you are well covered and you start moving to the sides while firing. You do this to prevent headshots?
Hey Wrel, I have a question... Is a rocket in the game a physical entity, meaning that if you shoot it with a gun or another rocket will it explode or will it just noclip through ?
The only rockets that you can shoot down are phoenix rockets. However, I'm not sure if your bullets will deadstop or go right through, if they collide. You see it in one of the earlier clips of this video, but you can shoot a grenade, and it'll stop all of your bullets until it passes by. So, that same could possibly be for rockets as well, but I have no clue.
In short, if you want to shoot "beeg boolit" to feel like NC, this gun is for you. It is basically the same thing as a Gauss SAW S. If you are playing TR as an alt but main NC, you will find this gun an easy gun to use.
kinda wondering what cool/fun weapon to try next. I am thinking about the bandit or NS15-M, but maybe I should save for some framethrowers for my NC max...
Wrel, im watching alot of your videos and in all of them, i find that when comparing weapons between factions, NC's weapons has a MUCH higher recoil and spread. During this video when you fire your TMG, you barely have any recoil or spread, but the Gauss SAW is everywhere and had an insane spread, even at close range. What is your opinion on this?. Does the higher damage per bullet make up for its MUCH higher recoil and spread on the SAW?.
Here's what I use on my TMG-50 3.4x Chevron sight Compensator Forward Grip HV Ammunition If you can control the Gauss SAW, you can easily control this thing as it's like a clone of the Gauss SAW Select.
Hmm, I'll probably stay away from this. I never do good with the high-damage slow-firing LMGs, I'm more of an adjust your fire kind of guy. Love the T16 for that on the TR, and the Carv ain't bad, either. Gotta say, though, I love the GD-22S.
I've never used the TMG-50, but statistically it's looks close to the Guass rifle S in that it has the same fire rate and damage profile. the TMG has a 2.5 times the Gauss rifle's mag, but it's less accurate in all circumstances. guass rifle has (marginally) better bullet velocity of 650 m/s as opposed to the TMG's 615 m/s, but you really should run soft-point ammunition with the gauss rifle. Wrel, in your opinion (if you have a particularly strong one), how does the TMG-50 stack up against the guass rifle (disregarding that they're for two different factions, and two different classes)? I know that my gauss rifle gets me killed at close range a lot because its rate of fire can't stand up in 1v1, and adding more targets stretches a 30 round mag rather thin.
As an NC main that plays a lot of TR on the side, I just can't like this gun even though I probably should. It feels sub-par as a 167dmg weapon compared to pretty much every NC weapon with that damage model. Every time I try it I just can't shake the feeling that it's trying to be the Gauss SAW S and failing.
Vixter Legion If you're a good Terran, don't. It has litterally no real DakkaDakka to it (being only semi-auto and all) and as such it's an insult to all Terrans.

The longer the membership the more % boost you instantly get. It helps a lot when starting out, but you can also buy some weapons, then spend your certs on perks.
BaneGames yeah, basically there are certain things you can only get with station cash like camos, and cosmetics. The abilities like the heavy shield or upgrading your Light Assault jump jets, cost certs only. The weapons usually costs 1000-250 certs, which for me takes more than a 5 hours without a boost, but it matters if you in a big fight VS running around. You can buy a weapon for $7, also 700 SC (Station Cash) or you can spend how many certs it costs.
Well, I seem to have no problem hitting my targets heads using a 6x scope/lasersight/HVA Gauss SAW. So I doubt i'll have any problems with a TMG-50. Or any weapon really.
I use HVA on the Gauss S and it is not that bad. Problem is HVA is not high value purchase for LMGs since their muzzle velocity and damage bonus is not that significant compared to other weapon classes. Gauss S only only gets a extra 20mps muzzle velocity with HVA. How much value is it for extra recoil and cert cost? Depends how much you value the marginal bonus increase. I use HVA for long range with Gauss S but remove it in closer engagement. Closer ranges SPA all the way.
Hey Wrel, I'm a big fan of your Planetside 2 videos. I used to watch them all the time, when I was able to play, but I can't anymore, thanks to this g99 error that there seems to be no fix for. I've tried everything. Deleting the client cache, checking my firewall configuration, reinstalling the game, my computer, my router, and for the life of me I can't get past it. I really miss playing the game, as in my opinion its one of the better, if not best f2p shooters out there. I know its a stretch to ask, but at this point I'm at my limit. Would you be able to make some kind of tutorial detailing ways it might be fixed? I know I'm not the only one with this problem, and its asking a lot that you even read this comment, but I'd appreciate it more than I can put into words right now.
I have had the same error. For me the problem was in the firewall. Have you tried to start planetside with firewall off? You probable have but doesn't hurt to ask.
click your start globe on windows 7, or hit the windows key on your keyboard. then at the bottom search bar type"run" without the exclamations, then hit enter. after it comes up paste this code in "reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" /v ProxyEnable /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f" without the exclamations. it resets your proxy no matter if you have administrator issues, or if your computer is infected. or if your ISP is forcing a proxy.. now we won't have a problem with this again This worked for me! A tip from Ventertainment that was usefull!
This weapon was amazing until the nerfed the reduced vertical recoil from the fwd grip. Now it kicks too much for it to be useful beyond midrange while it lacks the dps upclose, making it more of a niche gun. Frankly there are better alternatives to be found within the NC.

+Dutrius Cool. I Auraxiumed my LMGs to get the Butcher. I still use the TMG 50, Rhino and T9 Carv, another awesome weapon. Totally agree on the HVA.
I love the TMG, I would say, once you get used to the recall, then it's one of the TRs best LMGs. I do prefer the MSW or Carv for close range though.

A mix between high and medium, which setting affects it?
I auraxiumed the TMG 50 personally is my go to TR LMG when i face a orion or a betelgeuse or any cqc user at mid range, going for headshots they got down before they can respond, of coourse at cqc you must have a while of experience with this gun, im with wrel that hipfire is not a such good idead for this gun, but at less 5 meters if you get faced by the enemies hipfire to the head as much you can and rapid burst firing, thats how i survuived a lot of times aginst pesky infiltrators and LA and dont equip HVA it has more drawbacks than benefits
The TMG is the weapon I go to when I get tired of the Carv and the T32 Bull, but I feel like the role of the T32 Bull really overlaps with the role of this weapon as a heavy slugger. Sure, it's 500 certs more, but I think the muzzle velocity alone really makes it so the Bull outclasses the TMG is almost every situation. It's like an indirect accuracy buff for it, and given the rate of fire of the weapon, I just don't find myself reaching for it all that often.

Would you ever consider giving the MAX a look, I almost exclusively run MAX, when I am not MAX, I am either heavy, or in a tank. I know its a very odd playstyle, carries some hate from a lot of people who don't quite understand the class's role, or its nuances that actually make it one of the more difficult classes to run effectively, and actually make a difference. I might be a little biased I dunno, I ran MAX all the time, even in PS1. I never felt like a force multiplier, as much as the one who had to do all the dirty work, and the one who was hunted by the entire enemy force. I would love it if just one youtuber would have at the very least, a more reasonable opinion about the whole thing. Anyways, I digress. Great vid, and thanks for sticking with PS2,
The only difficult thing about the MAX is getting 250 certs for the second A.I. gun, after that its just point and click. Literally the easiest thing to play in the game.
Jimmie Rustles I did not deny that its an infantry killer, that's its role, and it serves it well, but the actual difficult part about the MAX is learning where to apply that power, and learning where you will probably end up dead. A MAX suit requires more situation awareness than your standard class, you will often find yourself in a pretty shitty situation, and you are to far stuck in to retreat, where other classes could easily haul ass out. Plus there is also the teamwork aspect, the MAX without backup is a lone wolf with its legs cut off, and striped most of its vital organs, yea the bite still hurts, but the thing is doomed to wither and die. The MAX is arguably one of the more tactically reliant classes as you must have very specific ingredients to make it work, which are not always there. It has major flaws, and for a war machine in a video game, that's good, but I don't for a second doubt its ability to kill, I just doubt the users competence in understanding how to use it properly
***** Being a Max in PS2 is like if in Halo everyone is playing a Marine and you're the Spartan. OP as shit. Though MAX does require at least SOME skill, especially if you're going to contrinuously play it (you'll need to stay alive and fighting until the infantry resources refill) and hey MAXes ARE indeed quite helpful.
***** I learned how to fly via Battlefield 1942, where flying is actually harder and the planes are slow, brittle and can't hover, it ain't THAT difficult, but at least at first until you get used to the way the MAX functions and get your loadouts straightened out, it can be pretty tough to play as a MAX continuously. While it does require less skill, it requires MORE experience with the game, as any other infantry class already exists in other games. You can only hone your MAX skill in Planetside 2, and there is SOME nuance to playing the MAX and being good with it.

ANY LIGHT ASSAULT IN THE ENTIRE FUCKING CONTINENT PLEASE COME C4 ME TO OBLIVION!", or the fact that as MAX you're vulnerable to ALL kinds of enemy and friendly fire, including bullets, anti-vehicle rounds, grenades, rockets, ground-lock rockets, all MAX weaponry, all tank weaponry etc etc and so if you walk right into the middle of a high population fire-fight, chances are you ain't gonna survive for more than 50 miliseconds unless you have SOME sort of skill, or even the fact that you can't enter most of the vehicles and you can't pilot any of them, so you're gonna have to travel with a team at all times. Oh and there's also the fact that your long-range capability is limited, especially if you haven't unlocked the longer range AV weapons, since you've got no ability to aim. But yeah ok, I still agree for the most part, though I'd rather be an engie or a heavy or a light any day of the weak simply because I find it's just more fun when you've got freedom of movement and the ability to help out your teamates by repairing or healing or blowing shit up, plus the weapons are just more fun to use (like my trusty burting Repeater or my professional CARVing too)l. I dunno, being in a MAX just feels too "foreign" for me to be enjoyable.

Could you do a tutorial on when to move and when not to? It's something I've been having a bit of trouble with the Rhino in that regard, and it seems like something that a lot of people don't know or don't understand.
personally love the tmg 50 i think it was the first gun i got a gold medal with, then sadly i kinda put it down and rarely pick it up again, tbh i blame the bull since it fits an all round playstyle better, that being said the tmg works well with my "get the most powerful shot for shot gun and take it in close to get the most out of it" style of play
Always have trouble when I play Planetside 2 because all the infantry weapons seem to be fairly close range, yet all the battles I find tend to be extremely long-distance with vehicles and loads of enemies keeping you from the "front lines" weapons seem to be effective with

I do not often play TR. But when I do I use the TMG-50. Wrel the one factor you did not expand upon is the DakaDaka factor. TMG-50 is such a meaty sounding LMG that empowers the player. Thus I agree a silencer should not be used for different reasons. The TMG-50 is best used when closing the distance to a base, and over watch position, and countering snipers.

I main NC so this is a near carbon-copy of the Gauss SAW S, which is my go-to versatility weapon. Just picked this gun up on my alt and looks like I'll enjoy it a lot.

Hey Wrel I think you should review the LMG directive weapons, with the new buffs coming tomorrow.
Weapon is almost identical to NC6S Gauss SAW S as you can play them similarly and they're strengths vary on minor level as a whole. TMG-50 is more important for the TR though as it's the only LMG with high damage. Both are good LMGs that work if you burst your shots.
Wrel, you should do shorter burst at range.

You seriously need to review the more obscure weapons in planetside 2. Like the burst carbines ( a great at best, but the first shot recoil is too much for anyone to handle and are just glorified stock weapons) or the semi-auto scoped sniper rifle... yeah, anyone who plays planetside 2 knows that semi-auto snipers are like THE WORST. If you don't decide to review them, then I'll just do it right now.

Only one note: the advice aim to the head is redundant (in yours and everyone else review). Apart from shotgun (and maybe very high rof weapons) is always better aim to the head (obviously it is not so easy)

I personally run the TMG-50 with a 3.4x scope seeing as this weapon is to be used at longer ranges than other TR LMGs. I'll admit, the vertical recoil is a bitch and a half but I find the side to side recoil more annoying when trying to burst fire someone far away.
Wrel , hi. Around min 8 you start explaining that this weapon is great when standing still, but at min 8:25 you are well covered and you start moving to the sides while firing. You do this to prevent headshots?
Hey Wrel, I have a question... Is a rocket in the game a physical entity, meaning that if you shoot it with a gun or another rocket will it explode or will it just noclip through ?
The only rockets that you can shoot down are phoenix rockets. However, I'm not sure if your bullets will deadstop or go right through, if they collide. You see it in one of the earlier clips of this video, but you can shoot a grenade, and it'll stop all of your bullets until it passes by. So, that same could possibly be for rockets as well, but I have no clue.

In short, if you want to shoot "beeg boolit" to feel like NC, this gun is for you. It is basically the same thing as a Gauss SAW S. If you are playing TR as an alt but main NC, you will find this gun an easy gun to use.
kinda wondering what cool/fun weapon to try next. I am thinking about the bandit or NS15-M, but maybe I should save for some framethrowers for my NC max...
Wrel, im watching alot of your videos and in all of them, i find that when comparing weapons between factions, NC's weapons has a MUCH higher recoil and spread.
During this video when you fire your TMG, you barely have any recoil or spread,
but the Gauss SAW is everywhere and had an insane spread, even at close range.
What is your opinion on this?. Does the higher damage per bullet make up for its MUCH higher recoil and spread on the SAW?.

Hmm, I'll probably stay away from this. I never do good with the high-damage slow-firing LMGs, I'm more of an adjust your fire kind of guy. Love the T16 for that on the TR, and the Carv ain't bad, either.
Gotta say, though, I love the GD-22S.
TMG-50 seems like a good choice for me, longer range more supporty
I've never used the TMG-50, but statistically it's looks close to the Guass rifle S in that it has the same fire rate and damage profile. the TMG has a 2.5 times the Gauss rifle's mag, but it's less accurate in all circumstances. guass rifle has (marginally) better bullet velocity of 650 m/s as opposed to the TMG's 615 m/s, but you really should run soft-point ammunition with the gauss rifle.
Wrel, in your opinion (if you have a particularly strong one), how does the TMG-50 stack up against the guass rifle (disregarding that they're for two different factions, and two different classes)?
I know that my gauss rifle gets me killed at close range a lot because its rate of fire can't stand up in 1v1, and adding more targets stretches a 30 round mag rather thin.
basically its probably a mediocure weapon that needs a buff. I have a Gauss S burst and its a joke. Trail the weapons before you buy.

Luca Hülsmann Don't belive so, you can have HS/NV on everything but pistols.
As an NC main that plays a lot of TR on the side, I just can't like this gun even though I probably should. It feels sub-par as a 167dmg weapon compared to pretty much every NC weapon with that damage model. Every time I try it I just can't shake the feeling that it's trying to be the Gauss SAW S and failing.
GD-22S is good. I have a problem with the bloom on the LMGs

Razor is one of my favorite NC carbines, if that tells you anything. Very, very consistent. It'll get reviewed, but probably not too soon.

The longer the membership the more % boost you instantly get. It helps a lot when starting out, but you can also buy some weapons, then spend your certs on perks.

BaneGames yeah, basically there are certain things you can only get with station cash like camos, and cosmetics.
The abilities like the heavy shield or upgrading your Light Assault jump jets, cost certs only.
The weapons usually costs 1000-250 certs, which for me takes more than a 5 hours without a boost, but it matters if you in a big fight VS running around.
You can buy a weapon for $7, also 700 SC (Station Cash) or you can spend how many certs it costs.
Could you do a Versus of standard rocket launcher, air vechicle lock on ( 250 cert one ) and ground vechicle lock on launcher ( also 250 cert one )?

Well, I seem to have no problem hitting my targets heads using a 6x scope/lasersight/HVA Gauss SAW. So I doubt i'll have any problems with a TMG-50. Or any weapon really.
I use HVA on the Gauss S and it is not that bad. Problem is HVA is not high value purchase for LMGs since their muzzle velocity and damage bonus is not that significant compared to other weapon classes. Gauss S only only gets a extra 20mps muzzle velocity with HVA. How much value is it for extra recoil and cert cost? Depends how much you value the marginal bonus increase. I use HVA for long range with Gauss S but remove it in closer engagement. Closer ranges SPA all the way.

Hey Wrel, I'm a big fan of your Planetside 2 videos. I used to watch them all the time, when I was able to play, but I can't anymore, thanks to this g99 error that there seems to be no fix for. I've tried everything. Deleting the client cache, checking my firewall configuration, reinstalling the game, my computer, my router, and for the life of me I can't get past it. I really miss playing the game, as in my opinion its one of the better, if not best f2p shooters out there. I know its a stretch to ask, but at this point I'm at my limit. Would you be able to make some kind of tutorial detailing ways it might be fixed? I know I'm not the only one with this problem, and its asking a lot that you even read this comment, but I'd appreciate it more than I can put into words right now.
I have had the same error. For me the problem was in the firewall. Have you tried to start planetside with firewall off? You probable have but doesn't hurt to ask.

This weapon was amazing until the nerfed the reduced vertical recoil from the fwd grip. Now it kicks too much for it to be useful beyond midrange while it lacks the dps upclose, making it more of a niche gun. Frankly there are better alternatives to be found within the NC.
I think you'll find that last sentence to be true for most guns.
