Hi mark excellent video the DWP building is coming along really well and the trees that have planted will give it a fresh look and hopefully more trees being planted across blackpool shame about deansgate kitchen it was a nice place and the abrindgon street market is usually quiet midweek and more busier at weekends and and cedar square looks great and even better in summer when the weather is ice and st John's square is a relaxing place right by the winter gardens and the town centre as few people about and excellent footage of the tower and the dogs barking it was a french bulldog I have one not the quietest of dogs he loves blackpool and bank hey street as few people shopping the castle pub looks quiet this is why I come midweek so relaxing the development is put on hold now and central drive needs development thanks mark excellent video take care pal from Keith 👍👍👍👍
I remember "The Greedy Pig" in Bank Hey Street being the "American Pancake Place." Their burgers on a roll with tomato relish were definitely a taste sensation.
That sounds good well I've only been here just over 21 years so I've only ever known as a KFC I think. I was here when the palace nightclub was there that didn't call it that though did they the palace nightclub was down the road I'm not sure what they call tonight club in the Tower now but I can't recall whether KFC was there when the tower lounge I've got it the tower lounge . Was there or not maybe you would know anyway sorry to waffle thank you for watching my channel and taking time to drop a line
@@BlackpoolandBeyond It should be pancake house and not place like I said. I never knew it when it was KFC. I can only recall it as The American Pancake House. That was back in the early 80's. I don't remember the palace nightclub though.
Hi Mark good vid ,how much did they spend on that DWP building?we're i live in Liverpool there closing down the dole centres but the ve spent millions on a new one in Blackpool?obviously the 300 million they were suppose to spend on the outskirts of Blackpool have been put on the back burner but have time to spend more on another car park site and a new DWP building, anyway till the next one take care.
Yes it's money when we've got buildings that are empty but they're just trying to make that area completely contemporary if you know what I mean. We have no control how the government and the council spend the money in most cases it spent wrongly so many empty places in Blackpool. Until the next one bear with . And of course take care
From across the pond A good day to you Its a nice quiet peaceful day in Blackpool today The trees are a nice addition Here in the states it is vey busy today with the voting underway and people out and about Its a big event Huge! Wishing you sunny days ahead and a great week coming your way Stay well Thanks for all you do to bring this to us who are not familar with Blackpool and so enjoy this

@@lynnp6755 I will explain a bit more about to bonfire night.. Are you ready in 1605 a man called a Guy Fawkes try to set light to the houses of Parliament. In London that is his name Guy Fawkes. So initially with something that was celebrated after that it was the 5th of November 1605 so it was called Guy Fawkes night. Mark is it so cold here in November you'd always have a bonfire engine garden or you would go to an organised one. And you would have fireworks have a bonfire to keep warm and have some food outside . And it's something that's continued. Fireworks should be banned .. That is another story. But yes if you google his name it will explain more. As a child it was all about families getting together with a couple of boxes of fireworks and food. But nowadays kids set them off in the street parks high streets. This isn't a Blackpool problem this is a UK problem I think I'll leave it there cuz I'm not confuse you just explain briefly what it's about. Yeah take care nice chatting again
@@lynnp6755 I will continue briefly no one has bonfires anymore. There will be a few places will have organised ones that isn't the problem. It's always the wrong type of people in streets who let them go off and spend tonight there was somebody for 4 hours at the back of me no children involved just adults wasting money. Hope you understand a bit better take care
