    Thanks Mahe for another great video! We were in Kailua for the first time last week (now back in Tokyo) and just loved it! We happened to be there on the day when they have the weekly farmers market (Saturday?). Our impression of the beach there was just as you described it. Take care😊

    Aloha. My wife & I love the channel. We used to live in Mililani about 7 years ago. Looking to move back - possibly to big island. Currently researching real estate in Pahoa. This may be outside of your expertise (diff island) but do you think its more affordable due to volcano activity or other safety issues? Any insight on this area on Big Island? Thanks 🙏🏼

      @movingtohawaii  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your comment. We have a partner on the big island we’d refer you to if you’re focused there, but I think Pahoa is less expensive because it’s big island and then because Pahoa is not a main hub for anything really. Big island as a whole just has a lesser economy with less jobs and more land, so homes are cheaper.

      Yes we understand and we will be. Compliance red tape and realtor stuff but let me see if we can link the property for you.

    You really need to update pricing data for video to stay relevant. The mauka estate has dropped $1 million & there are several obscenely priced beachfront properties on the market now.

      TH-cam does not allow us to edit things in the video after it is posted. Thank you for the comment. Maybe we will do another video like this same format with a snapshot of today’s market.

    Do you ever feel bad for kinda promoting people moving to Hawaii… while locals continue to be pushed out? No hate just curious

    • @movingtohawaii
      @movingtohawaii  ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Yes, we tussle with this. Our team is unique Hawaiian and so it requires weekly thought. Relocation has always happened and always will, including most leaving HAWAII in due time. We don’t move the needle in any measurable way, we are just Hawaiians participating, changing a few Hawaiian families and futures. It’s complex. Principally though, I,
      Derek, I don’t solve problems from a victim position. We hope to instead run financial mindset seminars for locals in the future so that they compete more in the economy as many do. Mahalo for your comment.
