Jake always sounds so defeated, and whines too much. He'd make a better pizza delivery driver if he wants to drive such.

I stopped watching this show after I learned they add stuff like this for drama and cut scenes together that aren't even connected. You can never tell what is real and what is staged
Jake always makes the highlight reel.. Good thing he hires qualified people to take care of his problems..

I wasn't aware of that problem originally.
I wish him well and strength. In what will most likely be a life long battle.
I'm glad he's started and I believe gotten through the hardest beginning battle.
Now he needs to find the more positive aspects of his being, to live more from a position of strength and control.
While shaking off the doom and gloom I see him wallowing in.
It's a state of mind battle of acceptance that's more decision based.
He's got the guts or he would be still fighting the ocean

This is from the latest season Viking Returns. I've been binge watching it. I don't know where you get your info from but you're Wrong. This is how Jake looks like now from all the Ciggies, possible drugs and all the stress of being Captain making sure his crew come home safe and all get paid. He's operating a multi million dollar business so heaps of stress on Jake.*
Unacceptable that there is not enough parts on that boat to totally redo your hydraulic system. Jake is not looking good. Some have heard he's doing drugs.

Right if shit hits the fan, narrating for the camera is the last priority lol
I would like to point out he's the captain and needs to stay where he is and can't go down to the engine room to help he needs to stay up there to test the steering when they fix it so while he waits he might as well tell the camera crew what's going on because he cannot go anywhere else they have also all been told to explain things as they happen it's actually in the contract hope this helps you understand why you are both wrong hope you both have a wonderful day and new year

4 months each year living on cigarettes, coffee, redbull and bad food while getting 10 hours sleep per week and the added responsibility for the lives and incomes of many others.
I’ve always said this about Jake; he is a hell of a captain now but I don’t think he has the inner strength to balance the pressures of the job. Going to go to an early grave like Phil if he’s not careful.

you must have stopped watching halfway. the mech said they ran out. jake said they had a tonne but the mechs used them all. so really whos to blame the mechs for not mentioning it to jake, or jake for being a captain and not a fkn engineer in charge of keeping spares?

I think it's disgusting that Discovery programs put on subtitles on their programs with people with the slightest accents. Gold Rush is the worst with Tony Beets, he talks perfect English but he always has subtitles.
Well it helps me cos I’m partially deaf
Some of us aren't native english speakers so even the slightest accents can make it very difficult to understand what's being said
I am also partially deaf and rely on subtitles.
It's not because of accent it's because of radio static it's hard to understand some people when your on the radio with them

No this is Jake the kid with the drug issue was Eliot. Jake worked with Sig for awhile before getting his own boat
