- This year Rolex released a few new models to their line up. Of all the new variations the one that shocked me most was the Rolex Sky-Dweller with the Jubilee bracelet. It's not that I have anything against the Jubilee bracelet but I do feel its was a bit lazy and redundant of them. My first response was me thinking that the case was going to be a bit to large for the look of the Jubilee bracelet. However once I was able to see the watch in person I realized that they did a very nice job of balancing it out. Blue for me will always be the winner in this model. My personal favorite Rolex Sky-Dweller is the steel version with the Blue dial BUT, with oyster band. I feel its just the best example of this watch! I was very skeptical of this release at first, now that I see it in person it is starting to grow on me lol!

Fluted Bezel has always blended well with jubilee band
Agree, they are perfect. For dressy elegant look. Submariner on the other hand only look good in oyster. Any watch with Fluted Bezel will go well with jubilee.

Totally. It just pops in the light. I got a datejust 36mm champaign dial recently and it looks amazing.
SkyD on the jubilee is a winner. Many people love the Datejust with the fluted bezel paired with a jubilee, so why wouldn’t the same apply for the SkyD. It makes it far more elegant.
I have the sky on oyster and am thinking of getting the jubilee bracelet for it. Is it more comfortable?

I have many Rolex watches on Oyster ....Sub/Daytona/OP etc . and now just got the call from the AD for a Blue sky dweller I'll be picking up tomorrow. He told me it's on Jubilee and I'm thrilled because it provides a much better counterpoint as dressier piece compared to the sport watches which are all on Oyster. I'm in and looking forward to this! Very grateful to "get the call"! I think this watch will be a more collectible and classic piece down the road on Jubilee because the fluted bezel works best with that and it is very robust.....unlikely to show scratches with the Jubilee compared to polished center links. Great piece IMO.

Eric, you da man that camera quality is second to none. No for the jubilee bracelet never been my thing. Always take a oyster over that any day. You’re really starting to level up in comparison to other channel’s. Just keep doing you and the sky’s the limit. Keep the great content coming love it.

Great video as always Eric. I agree with you that the Sky-Dweller case might be a little chunky on the jubilee bracelet, but overall I absolutely LOVE this combination in blue dial. It’s become one of my all-time favorite Rolex watches and here’s why…obviously stainless steel sports models are crazy hot right now…unfortunately the classic Datejusts have been demoted a little bit in the social sphere. They’re not viewed as “cool” and their relatively low entry price means they’re dismissed as being a commoner’s watch. But I still love the jubilee bracelet and the fluted bezel look…that’s as Rolex as it gets in my opinion. Sure you can bump up to a Datejust 41 but it’s still a little brother compared to other big hitters in the Rolex portfolio. I personally see this Sky-Dweller as the ultimate Datejust upgrade…you get the best of both worlds - super comfortable and great looking jubilee bracelet, fluted bezel to glimmer in the light, and an undeniable beast of a case, dial, and movement!! This is definitely a big boy option for Rolex lovers…anyone wearing a Sky-Dweller knows what they’re doing and has a considerable budget. I think this is pure class and looks incredible. If you think it's chunky, stick to the date just on a jubilee with fluted bezel. It's the perfect watch.
5:47 That's a big shot!!! Love this feel when wearing a shiny fluted & jubilee rolex and can feel the weight on the wrist.
I personally think the Jubilee bracelet looks much better on the Skydweller than on a GMT Master II. The GMT's wear relatively large and being a sportier watch (obviously), the Jubilee seems a bit out of place. I honestly really like it on the Skydweller, I think it maintains the class that you can feel and see with this watch.

Stunning Timepiece. I got it at the AD after telling him that i would like to have the Sky Dweller in March with the Oyster Band. In April i changed my mind and in May i got the Sky Dweller blue dial with the Jubilee bracelet.

I have the Blue Sky on Oyster and I wanted a White Dial Datejust with fluted on Jubilee, but after seeing the release of the Sky on Jubilee I asked my AD to get me the White Sky on Jubilee instead of the Datejust. Thanks for another great video!

Jubilee just makes the watch looks super busy, that is just my opnion.
IMHO, Eric, without it being in two-tone, the jubilee bracelet is a bit dainty and busy for me. I prefer the oyster. But still a nice watch!

Unlike Datejust, the Sky-Dweller’s dial is quite busy. Paired with a “busy” jubilee bracelet the overall watch gets the «micrograin» busy look.

The current Oyster bracelet is a thing of beauty, but the Jubilee has a special magic all to itself. To me, it is one of the top design accomplishments in the watch world, what with its perfect ergonomics and simple sophistication. No matter what watch it is on, it makes the wearer feel like a million dollars (just like your videos!). I got out of Rolex and don't miss the dials; but I really miss the Jubilee. Peace.
I'm usually a fan of the jubilee with fluted bezel, but for some reason, I like this one better with the oyster bracelet. Maybe it'll grow on me, the Batman with jubilee bracelet certainly has.
Jubilee 100%. It’s just looks AMAIZING. It makes sense and plays extremely well with the fluted bezel.
On a white silver gold combi - jubilee looks fab
The black dial with the red markers is where it's at. The red just pops against the black. I've had the opportunity to try the SS blue and a two tone black with 18k gold and I gotta say, the black is quite visually stunning.

Very nice watch. Unfortunately, my AD has already informed me that the blue Sky Dweller will be discontinued this year for its tenth anniversary (launched in 2012). New Dial coming. Since my AD has always been right in the past, the watch will probably cost €50,000 and more soon this year.
As you say “its growing on me”…..have always preferred oyster…a few pcs (datejust) looks good on jubilee,It is not important that others like what you like. All that matters is that you like it. Thank you for this video.. 🙏🏻

Either way is fine. If you are looking for a more “sporty” look, get the oyster, if “dressy”, got the jubilee.

I agree fundamentally but somehow the jubilee seems to match the more texture that the sky dweller has. Maybe it’s because I have two Rolex with oyster bands and am looking forward for a twist when I pick it up this spring. I neither love it love it nor dislike it. But as time approaches to get it it really is growing on me. ❤
Not gonna lie, I think that jubilee band looks pretty sweet. I think that it accents the bezel quite nicely and adds a bit more weight and wrist presence. I hope that this release is successful because it's a pleasant departure from the norm for the Skydweller 👏😎 great video

Hey Rolex, I’m the one that has been telling you to do this. (I actually like the “Hidden Clasp Jubilee” best of all - it’s not a scratch magnet) Any chance I could purchase the bracelet ? (Swap out my oyster bracelet?)
Got the call for this puppy last week from my AD, picking it up Tuesday. Its a nice piece and glad its not on Oyster like the rest of my Rolex collection is. I say that because I wanted something a bit more dressy for work and play, yet still sporty
I’m an Oyster man myself but I can see this piece being popular in the watch community. It took me a long time to decide for my fluted bezel blue dial DJ41 to be on Oyster or Jubilee. In the end Oyster won. When the Pepsi was reintroduced on Oyster I immediately said “that’s my next watch” and I’m fortunate that my AD has taken my official order.

I think if you consider the two bracelet options in reverse it puts a completely different perspective on things. Imagine the blue dial Sky Dweller originally came on a jubilee bracelet; does the oyster bracelet not then look quite boring in comparison?

The jubilee matches this watch better because of the fluted bezel and high polish finish.
So I have a blue dial fluted bezel jubilee Datejust and it looks far superior on the jubilee then oyster. But since the skydweller is thicker and the dial is more busy because of the complications it looks much better on oyster in my opinion.
I'd choose jubilee 8 to 9 times out of 10, and I luv this one on jubilee more. Jubilee massages your eye's & everything's muscles deep to the core! And it compliments this bezel.
I prefer it on the oyster. The Sky-Dweller on the Jubilee looks like a busy Datejust. It is a meh from me.

My local Rolex AD had an oyster two tone white dial for $24k Canadian.. I said no and bought a two tone Skydweller jubilee for $33k, black dial used. Jubilee is beautiful. Its also good for daily because it doesn't scratch like the oyster.

I was lucky to have a rolex when I was just 15 years old that is now 35 years ago! it was perspex glass black face and two tone jubilee. I wish I still had it now. But it is the most comfortable bracelet. I remember as a kid wearing my watch sold not taking it off for three years sold, even changed the hour on the wrist. That was one comfortable watch.
I have the blue dial but I'm wearing my white dial right now. It's actually a cream dial with a white rotating disc and off-white sticks indices. That adds a clean elegance to it that it would not otherwise have if it was simply a straight-up white dial that matched the rotating disc. I think the white dial is underrated because people really need to see it in person to appreciate it, yet very few see any of them in person.
Oyster Perpetual brand is very nice to me. Jubliee is okay but it will take time to enjoy it. The white dial white gold skydweller I love it. Great review. Which two Rolex’s you would recommend that I could wear in everyday and every occasion wear for Jamaican weather. That has rose 🌹 n white gold or with stainless.

I think the Sky-Dweller looks good with the jubilee bracelet. I actually own a blue dial sky-dweller which I bought at list from my local AD with the oyster bracelet which imo looks slightly nicer.
Just picked up a two tone skydweller on oyster. Absolutely love it. I have a jubilee on my datejust 41 blues Roman dial. So a lil best of both worlds. Great video as always Eric.

I really enjoyed it with precious medals and loved the white gold
I don’t hate it at all, but I feel that the dial is just too busy for the jubilee bracelet. The watch seems better balanced with the bigger links of the Oyster. That said if one day I walked into an AD and they had a blue of black dial on the jubilee I’d definitely take in on the spot.
I love the jubilee on Datejusts but I agree with you Eric. The ceramic GMTs just belong on Oysters. The Oyster just seems like it was made for the GMT and Sub.

That first thing you said, the case is too thick. Its a strong arm watch so....doesn't strike the eye the way oyster band does.

Honestly I'm glad they did that... this may be an unpopular opinion but I personally don't like the oyster bracelet and it doesn't fit my wrist all that well... the jubilee band is very comfortable and far better looking

I absolutely agree with you on what you said about the case size for that band. Personally I love jubilee with fleuted bezels, not exactly on this watch. I don’t dislike it but I love the look of it on the Oyster band. In conclusion… it’s good to have the option… there’s nothing written about tastes. Amazing video man!

The issue I have is the clasp. The jubilee band doesn't match the oyster referenced lines of the clasp.

I had to sell the skydweller on oyster, it was too top heavy for a good fit on bracelet. I just got this one yesterday $9k over retail but I love the fit.
I am torn between the 2 bracelets and I don't get the opportunity to try them on, any advice and why you went with the jubilee?
