So your set up is basically the primary cats are still in place, then from the primarys you put (x pipe or straight pipe??) Then after that you have 3inch straight pipe to the resnator delete and put another x pipe? Then straight 3inch pipe to a set of 3 inch quads?

So basically all it is just replacing the piping with 3 inch pipes so the secondary catalytic converters and resonator were cut off to be replaced with the x pipes. Then the muffler was cut off to be replaced with 3 inch straight pipes. In order to replace the secondary cats with a x pipe there needs to be two pipes for the exhaust. Some camaros only have 1 pipe from the primary cats to the resonator. So make sure if you get this exhaust setup done you have 2 pipes from the primary cats to the resonator. That’s basically it honestly i dont have any engine mods and the car isn’t tuned so stock camaros can do this setup no problem.

All I know is the x pipes are 3 inch, my local muffler shop was selling them and they didn't give me more info on the specs. I dont have any pictures of under the car sorry i forgot to take some. next time I go to the muffler shop i'll take some and record a video, alot of people ask for that too

Thanks man i appreciate it🙏🏼 no check engine lights and the only raspiness is like mid range rpms but at high rpms and low rpms it sounds good. What makes it deeper is replacing the stock 2.25 inch pipes to 3 inch and also having 3 inch x pipes. Bigger the piping the deeper it’ll sound but there will always be a little rasp if any part of the exhaust is straight piped which is why aftermarket mufflers would make this setup even better.

@@dukesmith114 Its all good, i took out the stock muffler replaced with 3 inch pipes so just a regular muffler delete straight pipe then took out the stock resonator and replaced with a 3 inch x pipe as well as the secondary catalytic converters just replaced with a 3 inch x pipe as well.

Howd you get rid of your check engine light? I just got an xpipe and muffler delete and my light is on due to the AFM valves being unplugged I ordered some AWE simulators to see if that would help at all I want to do more work like add long tube headers but the cel light is bugging me got any advice??
I never got a check engine light when doing my exhuast work even when i deleted the secondary cats. Honestly not sure what advice to give you could be how your system is set up. I know some people that tried to do this set up but couldn't due to the whole stock factory exhuast being slightly different then mine.
I never got a CEL either. I didn't go with 3" pipe just 2.5, but did a secondary cat delete, replaced stock resonator with x-pipe and got rid of the crimped pipe with AFM valves to a MBRP axel-back. The AFM valves on most Camaros are mechanical spring operated that squeak or rattle.
did you feel a loss in gains on this? I got an 18 1lt tuned very similar with a cat delete but still got the muffler on, hesitant to make any more changes. It sounds good except the muffler has been rattling a lot lately, and considering replacing it with 2.75 inch pipes. Recommendations?
No if anything it felt a little faster due to more airflow and getting rid of the massize suit case muffler that weighs a ton lol. If your tuned i definitely would do this exhuast set up with borla attaks and either 3 or 4 inch pipes. Bigger the pipes, the more deeper it'll sound. Also with a downpipe.
Alex D Yeah i noticed more pops but not loud. Downshifts and letting off the gas in like 1st or 2nd have the most consistent pops. I think its worth it but just know that it’s extremely loud if you don’t put a X or H pipe.

@@ogsmacc1107 Started with a muffler delete, then did the resonator delete with x pipe then after replaced all pipes with 3 inch instead of the stock factory pipes then i did the x pipe for the secondary cat delete lol its not a full exhuast its custom so u can do it however you want whenever you want.

Yeah i feel like sport sounds a little better plus the gearing shifts faster and less raspy at mid range rpms
