Fun tit-bit with Chase Brown's improvements, he got LASIK in the offseason and his catching has dramatically improved! Many within the Bengals fanbase were killing the Bengals for trading Mixon and replacing with Brown, but it's been a great move for us!
I think the bigger credit to Canales is trying to rebuild a run game/design that the previous two regimes ignored. They can be a better run blocking group but Hubbard as a talent got overshadowed in part because the Panthers defense can't hold on a lead and have to be in pass scripts early in the game. With that mentioned I'd also put Liam Coen's results with Bucs offense as remarkable. I think Canales' improvements for the Bucs last season were a bit overrated. Coen maintains the pass game despite injuries and with improved O-line talent, has also found a run game to build on with Bucky Irving.
people finally starting to notice, as an eagles fan this guy stood out week after week for at least 2 years now and nobody talked about him, landon dickerson is similar for me, people say hes good but he is rarely talked about when it comes to the best linemen in the league, but he is truly special
While everyone’s been talking about Leonard Williams and Devon Witherspoon and how Ernest Jones has revamped the Seahawks’ D, Jarran Reed has quietly been maybe the most consistent player on the defense the last two years. Controls his gaps well, pushes the pocket effectively, and no one talks about him.
Christian Benford plays at all-pro level, but probably wont even get a probowl invite, because nobody pays attention to him, even though he is best player on Bills defense (maybe Rousseau has an argument, but that's it).
At a league level because of how much of a mess the Patriots are this year I feel like Gonzo is not getting the recognition he deserves. Dude has been shutting everyone down this year and has had to face an absolute gauntlet of top end receivers this year. Most QBs aren't even looking to throw in his direction at this point.
Yeah considering anyone can beat NE just by abusing whoever he ISNT covering, I think it'll be a while before Gonzo starts getting All-Pro votes. Definitely playing like a mini Surtain though
@40EastTrill we had an MVP suddenly stop being good at football at one point, our coach in Rivera suddenly stopped being good at coaching entirely, our two bright spots in CMC and Burns suddenly left. I've seen this movie before
@@quantwomwhale5984you realize that just because something happened a certain way before doesn’t mean it will happen again, correct? There are a lot of reasons for optimism in Carolina, just be patient
There’s so many guys on the Eagles I feel don’t get their due respect. Jordan Mailata doesn’t get the love he deserves league wide for being the best tackle in football. Nolan Smith has really started to come on over the last month. Nakobe Dean has improved so much. Mekhi Becton has been so good at playing guard, especially considering he’s built like a guy who you absolutely would have boxed in has a tackle. I’m definitely biased listing so many of our guys, but it’s been so fun watching them all play this year.
If the Becton experiment works I think the Eagles would probably take more chances on some young swing-tackles that didn't work in other teams and develop them as guards. And if Becton doesn't get the multi-year payday he's looking for maybe Howie gives him a fair short term deal to play with one of the elite O-line groups in the league.
Ravens that deserve this: Roger Rosengarten Travis Jones Kyle Van Noy (10 sacks at 33??!) (Wanna throw Justice Hill and Rashod Bateman up here but I don't think they're UNDERRATED, just deserve more flowers)
@@gardeningtipsyoutubechannel Bateman is having a career year, 8 TDs and is unlocking the deep passing game for Lamar in a way nobody has since Hollywood Brown.
I know you guys obviously can't cover every team, but it would be awesome to see Zach Sieler finally get some love for miami. Everyone thought last year was all due to Christian Wilkins being next to him but he's still balling out even without any standout IDL next to him.
Bryce doesn’t drive the ball down the field, yet there was a 4 or 5 game stretch where he drove the ball 55+ yds in the final 3 mins of the 4th Q in each game to score the go-ahead, tying, or would-be go-ahead td (if not for an XL drop)??? 🤔
I would say imo jakobi meyers for how horrible his qb situation is and at one point being a third option when adams was there and Brock Bowers (also known as him) but meyers has basically 900 yards and also i believe he still has 0 drops on the season
If you've seen him with the Pats what he's doing is nothing new. If you can get past the whole Mac Jones rookie performance as an outlier, Jakobi has been a strong WR2 who can catch balls but is not a great separator.
Seeing as how the Texans have the lowest offensive success rate in football and one of the lowest rushing success rates, I don’t really think it’d be accurate to call Mixon a “loss” for the Bengals. He was painfully average his last two seasons there (0 RYOA last year) and he was the opposite of the “make someone miss and get a first down” guy that Brett….seemed to imply he was? That was Joe Mixon 4 years ago. Joe Mixon today gets what’s blocked for him and nothing else, which is why the Bengals moved on from him in the first place.
I talk about chase brown, but my dad and I are still sitting and home arguing about defensive linemen prospects in this years draft. (I want Deion Walker out of Kentucky he wasnt Kenneth Grant)
Bryce Young? He's a lot batter this latter half of the season. Many close games his team had no business getting close to winning until they finally won. And he's kinda of a lil psycho lately.
Williams is really good. If anyone needs a mid D line, he's like a sure thing. A good team that's bad against run and doesn't pressure the QB too much is the ideal spot for him.
Brown I've seen, and I think he's very good, but he's overshadowed a lot in such a great offense. If the Bengals play ahead he'll make their life a lot easier. And I kinda think the Bengals NEED to play ahead.
I knew the Bucs had a great Oline and it couldn't be only because of Whirfs, that's not how oline works. This 67 guy has some quick feet and was probably a great blocker all of his life and just found his place. Good for him, but he'll probably only be recognized in a few years.
I traded chase brown and Josh Allen for Lamar and Jamal Williams. Other guy is crushing in the playoffs right now lol, to be fair, my season was like 5 percent playoffs chance so I was just trading everybody lol.
I just need the Patriots to spend what it takes to get Milton Williams for their abysmal run defense. Draft Mason Graham too just in case Barmore's health is more in jeopardy. Idc about the other issues on the Patriots they are going nowhere with the run defense they have currently. O line and WR you can get in the later rounds.
The coming draft is apparently flushed with Dline talent. Hopefully they can get BPA for that. If anything Pats should use FA money on WR and O-line. Especially while they sort out whose going to be around to coach both positions for long term. Along with figuring out whose the long term OC.
How often can a team win their division x5 years in a row and not have their coach even in the conversation for coach of the year. Sean McDermott was on hot seat lists in the beginning of the year now look at em!
When ur team is perennially a top 5 team until they inevitably lose in the post season every year, people start looking for someone to blame, the person blamed is either the QB or the HC, also the bills defence is laughably bad
He was on the hot seat for a different reason than most coaches who are on the hot seat. They don't suck, McDermott just has struggled to get them much postseason success.
Same reason how BB ran the AFC East for nearly 2 decades on the back of poor competition from the division. Despite the advantage he had his team be prepared for the playoffs. I have yet to see McDermott go all in and make his team playoff proof on the defensive side of things. Big reason why Allen has to put on the cape in January is because the defense doesn't have enough stars to step up and make plays.
Giving Cahsman too much credit. The Vikings got shredded and will get shredded again because Ben Johnson/Goff aren't fooled by the Vikings meme defense. Its works great against QBs who don't know what they're doing.
Yeah, guys like Stroud, Purdy, Geno, Rodgers, Kyler, and Kirk who practiced every single day against that defense last year, are all guys that just don't know what they're doing.
The 30 for 30 featuring Bryce Young being somehow responsible for Dalton's car accident Tonya Harding style is going to be legendary.
Technically his fault but not on purpose, couldn't see over the wheel
Dont tell nobody but it was actually Canales shhhhh
Chase brown saved my fantasy season
Same! Wouldn’t have sniffed the playoffs without him
His stretch the last few weeks has been insane. If he started the whole season he’d be a top 5 fantasy RB hands down
I drafted him and cut him week two but I’m still in the final 😂
What's crazy to me about Geno and Baker is that whatever Dave did seems to have stuck for the most part. Meaningful change
Fun tit-bit with Chase Brown's improvements, he got LASIK in the offseason and his catching has dramatically improved! Many within the Bengals fanbase were killing the Bengals for trading Mixon and replacing with Brown, but it's been a great move for us!

Rookie
A late night visit to EJ and Brett? Happy Christmas to me (and everyone else who drops by) thanks for everything fellas.
Panthers love on my birthday is a great present, thank you boys
happy birthday panthers bro #keeppounding
We know Milton in Philly, we also know how underrated he is but he’s been a big influence in our defense going back to last season.
I think the bigger credit to Canales is trying to rebuild a run game/design that the previous two regimes ignored. It is the bills defence to be fair
Bengals didn’t start Chase Brown until they were forced to with Moss injury, because Zac Taylor is an awful coach. No other reason
Seen big Milton Williams in the thumbnail and insta clicked. FINALLY someone is giving him some love
Please don't tell more people about Milton Williams. The Eagles don't have enough cap space to re-sign Williams and Baun this off-season 😭
Really hope Baltimore signs whichever one Philly lets walk
Baun definitely will stay they made him
Get your Edge Cooper pitchforks here, come and get em!
I saw that throw to David Moore from Bryce Young last game that might have been one of the best throws of the season at least that i have seen

I think they mean he doesn’t have the arm talent to throw missiles over the middle of the field. He’s been fantastic though, honestly.
@ that makes more sense - misunderstanding on my end.
Need this for Garrett Williams. Most underrated CB in the game
Still waiting on that Maxx Crosby film breakdown
I hope Sieler is on this list. Top 5 DT and isn’t talked about at all outside of Miami fans
Cashman was good with the Jets but he was always hurt.
This ^^
Atlanta Falcons defensive players Kaydenn Ellis and Jessie Bates
Fun fact, Elliss is top five in pass rush win rate and pressure rate this year!
Jessie Bates is in no way shape or form underrated
Everybody and their mother knows that Bates is a top-5 safety in the league, easily. Not underrated at all
Bates been a dog for awhile I don't under rate that man
I watched chase browns Hudl highlights he is the most explosive runner I’ve ever seen his 1 to 60 is insane
I would say imo jakobi meyers for how horrible his qb situation is and at one point being a third option when adams was there and Brock Bowers (also known as him) but meyers has basically 900 yards and also i believe he still has 0 drops on the season

He had zero last year too
Idk about this year but Meyers had like an 80% contested catch rate last year, he's literally 37 year old Larry legend
LUKE GOEDEKEEEEE!!!!!!! BUCS BUCS BUCS
Vita vea MIGHT be the bucs best coverage LB this season
Happy Holidays folks!! Enjoy the pre-playoff Christmas games!!
Panthers trending in a positive direction, no doubt about it I am ready to get hurt again 🥴
