    I can appreciate the appeal of these bikes. I almost brought the blue/green Elizabethan for Helen back when you put it up for sale.

    Definitely set of lights - maybe period Miller double bulb with bottle dyno and teardrop rear and Brooks saddle bag? Lovely cycle! Just a thought?? Thank you so much sharing

    What a lovely bicycle, it certainly looks like it's seen some service. I really like the billiard cue finish. I've two 1964 Moultons, both blue, but the one with the white billiard cue finish just looks so much nicer than the plain one.

    I can't think of another bike with the model name on the front mudguard.
    Looking forward to seeing you feed the chain into a chain case. For some weird reason those are my favourite Velocipedium moments.

    What a lovely bike! Those rims look in good condition for it's age. I agree with you about the forks. They would look nice in red with that billiard cue effect going down from the crown. Looking forward to the restoration.

    The snooker cue finish is great , the lettering on the front mudguard took a great amount of thought in the design of the lettering looks great in my eyes.

      Yes I think it’s the most evocative part of the bike.

    Bike naming and transfers were more evocative back then. Even run of the mill bikes like the Triumph Palm Beach and Raleigh Rodeo had cool transfers. Did the Elizabethan ever have down tube transfers?

      @Velocipedium  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No it didn’t. The chaincase had the main transfer. Yes those ones you mentioned are wonderful pieces of graphic art, as are the whole Lenton series of bikes, the Trent Tourist, even the lettering on my Boulevard Tourist which i mention in tomorrow’s video.

      @@Velocipedium Yes, there were at least three iterations of Trent Tourist transfer, and each of them was excellent.

      A Trent Tourist (blue) and a Lenton Tourist (green) are two of my remaining wants for my Raleigh stable.

    This bike would've had a dynamo hub. I've had a few over the years. You may remember Bikes 4 All in Leicester?

      The other one i had was dynohub equipped too. This might get one, I’ll see how things go with the refurb. It’s currently third in line
