Hi, some things about this boys. *Bts Is south Korean group, this days people prefer don't mix them with kpop. Kpop ist a genre and bts are know for their great repertoire of genres. Kpop is an industry in Korea, and not all singers/rappers/musicians in Korea are "kpop" 1. They are 7, 4 vocalist, 3 rappers (2 underground rappers) all dancers 2. Bts compose and produce in all their albums, so is very personal, they talk about mental health, politics, society, their fans, self love, etc 3. They have a story behind their videos so is difficult to new people understand, we (the armys) used to read a books and study set, philosophy, psychology and mythology to understand. Their last album for example was "map of the soul: 7" and is inspired by the psychologist book the map of the soul by Murray. 4. The army love them because they are good people who through a lot of bad things to be where they are now, and even being famous they stay humble. 5. They have a lot of genres but their base is very hiphop / rap. Also you can find subtitles in every possible language thanks to the fans, u only need to search with the name of the song or Activate cc. **Bts always present themselves as a Korean group, and always said they don't want to be labeled in a genre or industry. The fans also do not want to be mixed with kpopers, (most of us aren't kpop fans) we don't have the same ideals.

Also, Dynamite was actually their first complete English song so for their other songs you will probably need subtitles or look up the lyrics, but it's worth it because most of their songs actually have quite deep messages and a lot of meaning behind them. And even if you don't know the meaning, the songs are still bops so 🤷🏻♀️😂 Anyways, lots of love from the BTS A.R.M.Y and as we say: You nice, keep going! 🤗💜
@@JessETV yeah, as Saanvi already said, the four Cyphers are a good idea, but as a new person listening to BTS I would maybe listen to 'Mic Drop' feat. Steve Aoki before that since it is with all the members, while the Cyphers only feature the three rappers of the group. When you start with Cypher 1 and go through them chronological, you can really hear how they've changed and grown over the years (my favourite is pt. 3). 'Daechwita' is a solo song by Agust D who goes under Suga in BTS, and it's also a really good song, other solo songs you might also like are 'Joke' by RM, and then much lighter and with a completely different tone we have J-Hope with 'Daydream' and 'Chicken Noodle Soup' feat. Becky G. You could also check out 'Dope', it's a fairly "old" song of theirs but goes in the R&B/Jazz/Dance direction and in my opinion a total bop, 'ON' is also an idea, 'Pied Piper' maybe too though there's no real music video for that so you might need to watch a live performance or a lyric video. 🤔 Anyways, that were some songs you might enjoy but there are a lot more to discover, and if you have any questions I'm sure me and a lot of other Army's will be glad to answer them for you! 🤗✨💜
this was BTS's first english single, but if you want other songs that are also in english or have a lot of english, I recommend: - Monsta X, they've been coming out with many english songs (ex. someone's someone, who do u love, middle of the night, etc) and I believe they also have an english album ('all about luv') - Nct, they tend to release english versions of their songs (ex. regular eng version, highway to heaven, etc) - Eric Nam, he's a solo singer who has many english songs as well (ex. runaway) - Jay Park, he's more hiphop and warning, he's pretty wild (ex. Mommae (checkout his live performances of this if you want.....it's really something), purge, all I wanna do, etc)
and for something very very recent, recommend the MMA 2020 full performance, you’ll see how INSANE they are live, it’ll be something that you never ever seen somebody do, professional indeed. (Note : one of the members isnt present throughout this performance, because he got a shoulder surgery, and on therapy and recovering right now, so it’s just 6 of the members for now )

Mic Drop is so good and def a good group one to check out. You should look into their latest song Life Goes On too. So you can really see the range they can do. If you're looking for R&B vibes, Singularity is a good one to check out. That's one of the solo tracks from one of the members (V). All of them do solo tracks and even some mixtapes, so theres a lot of music to dive into if you find yourself liking more of their stuff.

they have a very wide range of music,, besides of pop they have full on hip hop, r&b, trap etc... if you like rb I'd definitely recommend songs like Singularity, House of Cards, Stigma, Hold me tight... if you like hip hop you should defo check out songs like dis-ease or UGH Some of my personal favourites are Black Swan,, louder than bombs. Dynamite is a bit different than their usual music, not even considering the language. Usually they take a huge part in writing lyrics/composing/producing etc. but not with this song. It was originally meant to be just a fun little song with not that deep of a meaning to bring some happiness to their fans during these dark times. For some reason though (most likely language and xenophobic western industry/audience play a role but that is a longer story) it blew up and is one of their biggest songs so far. I even myself found them because of Dynamite and now I am an avid follower, no regrets here. You should definitely react to the video called "The most beautiful life goes on of BTS" by the Asian theory, it basically sums up the whole career of BTS, how they've come and take over the world. The video is amazingly informative showing how BTS was formed, their achievements thru out each of their album for 7 years and so on.. It's pretty long but don't worried the video itself is incredible well edited, researched and appealing from beginning to end. This video will kinda explain why they have such huge and loyal fanbase and u may appreciate the group more. And ofc Army will always be willing to watch no matter how long it's as long as it's abt BTS.

I’m Army, but I wouldn’t have recommended BTS Dynamite as your first introduction to K-pop. As you have found out, Dynamite is entirely in English and K-pop (being Korean Pop) mainly sing in Korean. Also, don’t focus directly on BTS do try and explore other groups (BlackPink will be good for now and then check out more after) BTS does a range of genres (when they were formed back in 2013, they were originally a Rap/R&B group) So do explore more songs (you may have already, I haven’t checked before commenting haha so my bad if you have already 😅) If you want more info on BTS or K-pop, just asked away and I am sure myself and other Army/K-pop fans will help in a heart beat! Kpop isn't really a genre it's more of an industry in South Korea. Like others have stated Dynamite is BTS first and only fully english song. They normally sing and rap in Korean with some english mixed in. All BTS songs sound so different from each other so not every song of theirs is poppy like Dynamite. They do all genres hiphop, rnb, pop, latin, and edm. They only made Dynamite to bring joy and comfort to people during the pandemic. BTS has 7 members (3 rappers and 4 vocalists). The group started forming in 2010 and officially debuted in 2013. @@JessETV yeah, as Saanvi already said, the four Cyphers are a good idea, but as a new person listening to BTS I would maybe listen to 'Mic Drop' feat. Steve Aoki before that since it is with all the members, while the Cyphers only feature the three rappers of the group. When you start with Cypher 1 and go through them chronological, you can really hear how they've changed and grown over the years (my favourite is pt. 3).
'Daechwita' is a solo song by Agust D who goes under Suga in BTS, and it's also a really good song, other solo songs you might also like are
'Joke' by RM, and then much lighter and with a completely different tone we have J-Hope with 'Daydream' and 'Chicken Noodle Soup' feat. Becky G.
You could also check out 'Dope', it's a fairly "old" song of theirs but goes in the R&B/Jazz/Dance direction and in my opinion a total bop,
'ON' is also an idea,
'Pied Piper' maybe too though there's no real music video for that so you might need to watch a live performance or a lyric video. 🤔

I would start with Mic Drop.
this was BTS's first english single, but if you want other songs that are also in english or have a lot of english, I recommend:
- Monsta X, they've been coming out with many english songs (ex. someone's someone, who do u love, middle of the night, etc) and I believe they also have an english album ('all about luv')
- Nct, they tend to release english versions of their songs (ex. regular eng version, highway to heaven, etc)
- Eric Nam, he's a solo singer who has many english songs as well (ex. runaway)
- Jay Park, he's more hiphop and warning, he's pretty wild (ex. Mommae (checkout his live performances of this if you want.....it's really something), purge, all I wanna do, etc)
and for something very very recent, recommend the MMA 2020 full performance, you’ll see how INSANE they are live, it’ll be something that you never ever seen somebody do, professional indeed.
(Note : one of the members isnt present throughout this performance, because he got a shoulder surgery, and on therapy and recovering right now, so it’s just 6 of the members for now )

You should look into their latest song Life Goes On too. So you can really see the range they can do. If you're looking for R&B vibes, Singularity is a good one to check out. That's one of the solo tracks from one of the members (V). All of them do solo tracks and even some mixtapes, so theres a lot of music to dive into if you find yourself liking more of their stuff.

Dynamite is a bit different than their usual music, not even considering the language. Usually they take a huge part in writing lyrics/composing/producing etc. but not with this song. It was originally meant to be just a fun little song with not that deep of a meaning to bring some happiness to their fans during these dark times. For some reason though (most likely language and xenophobic western industry/audience play a role but that is a longer story) it blew up and is one of their biggest songs so far. I even myself found them because of Dynamite and now I am an avid follower, no regrets here. I hope you find something in their discography that you like, it honestly is very wide and has many genres. Good luck! If you have any questions I am more than happy to answer. :)

You should definitely react to the video called "The most beautiful life goes on of BTS" by the Asian theory, it basically sums up the whole career of BTS, how they've come and take over the world.
The video is amazingly informative showing how BTS was formed, their achievements thru out each of their album for 7 years and so on..
It's pretty long but don't worried the video itself is incredible well edited, researched and appealing from beginning to end. This video will kinda explain why they have such huge and loyal fanbase and u may appreciate the group more.
And ofc Army will always be willing to watch no matter how long it's as long as it's abt BTS.

I’m Army, but I wouldn’t have recommended BTS Dynamite as your first introduction to K-pop.
As you have found out, Dynamite is entirely in English and K-pop (being Korean Pop) mainly sing in Korean.
Also, don’t focus directly on BTS do try and explore other groups (BlackPink will be good for now and then check out more after)
BTS does a range of genres (when they were formed back in 2013, they were originally a Rap/R&B group)
So do explore more songs (you may have already, I haven’t checked before commenting haha so my bad if you have already 😅)

Kpop isn't really a genre it's more of an industry in South Korea. Like others have stated Dynamite is BTS first and only fully english song. They normally sing and rap in Korean with some english mixed in. All BTS songs sound so different from each other so not every song of theirs is poppy like Dynamite. They do all genres hiphop, rnb, pop, latin, and edm. They only made Dynamite to bring joy and comfort to people during the pandemic. BTS has 7 members (3 rappers and 4 vocalists). The group started forming in 2010 and officially debuted in 2013. Their names and ages are Jin age 28 vocalist, Suga age 27 rapper, J-Hope age 26 rapper, RM age 26 rapper, Jimin age 25 vocalist, V age 24 vocalist, and Jungkook age 23 vocalist. BTS is the biggest group in the world right and have broken and set numerous records. They have had 5 number 1 albums in the US and 3 number 1 songs in the US including Dynamite.
