That looks like a really nice box, what do you think about it a year later and what would you do different and how much do you think it cost to build it from top to bottom, sorry about all the questions but appreciate the info
How did this amp tune out on the spec analyzer with 2 inch transformers and 3 turns?? On mine I used 1.5" transformers and 2 wraps and it looks. I was under the impression that the longer transformers used less turns? Just wandering what the signal looks like?
OMG!! I hope not how can you tell by looking? I have never ordered any type 43's but I thank I have received some? Like the other day I was checking some ½” x 1-1/4” transformers using the same wire to check one then unwrap that transformer and use that wire to check the others. I was making three wraps. Some transformers would read like 7.33uh range and the others would reed 5.47uh range. I checked several of them and they were all purchased from the same retailer and all supposed to be type61 but they all didn’t have the same inductance? Also I have two inductance meters and they both gave me the same results.
Nice build , Have you biased any of your amps to AB so it can be used more effectively on SSB , I have a very similar amp (almost the same) and I want to bias it..... do you know how to do that....... maybe a good video idea , one on your preamp would be good to..... just for all us dummies out here lol
@@ericzerkle5214 So what your really saying is that you don't use sideband, at least not cleanly if you do..... which I find insane as sideband is where all the fun is..... but each to their own.
When you do your audio don't act like you're stuttering one clean motion and your fan needs to be a little bit higher gain a little bit more so it can move that heat out of there okay you did great
Thank you for sharing always curious how things are made very nice work and instruction.
Thank you for these videos. Keep them coming!!
Awesome job, enjoying watching.
Great effect, very well done 73’s
Awesome job 👏 What resistors are you using for input tuning? Thank you ❤
Nice little amp I need one of these
Nice job
Looks like 2 different types of ferrite material on those output transformers also.

Congrats! Soon you’ll be able to do that blindfolded.
Where did you get the plans on and instructions on how to build it
Why cant you solder the main power bus bar under the back of the transformers isn't it the same thing as the power wire connection
By wrapping the wire around the ferrite you create an RF-Choke
How much was the build total?

It looks like one of the output transformers is tape 43 and one 61

@@radioactiveamps3961 Type 43 usually look shiny but not allways . Only its way to really tale it's pull an induction test with a lcr meter
Man! What a great build
Why do some builders connect the power chokes to the far side of the transformer
Did that all.come as a kit

Thanks for the comment. No I don't know how to do the biasing circlet yet. As you know it's hard to get build info on theses types of amps.
If an amp does NOT have SSB bias i have no use for it....

@@cookiebeariscool No I meant if it DOES NOT have biasing I have NO use for it. I use SSB almost daily. Now when I'm on the road I use AM
@@cookiebeariscool class C amps sound like doggie doo doo on ssb.
Dear, I could inform you where I buy the kit.
Best regards
will a 50 amp power supply run this 4 pill amp

What it cost for all the parts
