Wow, your really getting this old RV fixed up. Most of what's you've done so far doesn't seem to be terribly expensive except for the new toilet. If you can get everything working you may very well increase the value of the vehicle.
i guess im not the only one that caught this. the anode part is still in the tank after he pulled it off the rod when twisting back and forth to remove
There is a small hole that this anode rod went into and the replacement anode I bought simply does not fit. There is very little corrosion on the rod I took out but I cannot find the correct replacement rod. This is why I put it back in.

I sure hope so. There has been a huge laundry list of deferred maintenance on this RV. I have a few more things to do.
SORRY! WHAT YOU TOOK OUT IS AN ANODE ROD THAT IS COMPLETELY DISSOLVED. WHAT YOU SEE LEFT IS JUST THE CENTER CORE. THE REST OF THE ROD HAS DISSOLVED!
