I visited Cuenca in May to consider it a possible future retirement option. It was an incredible experience in every way. My college-aged daughter and I felt safe walking all around, and the food was delicious and cheap everywhere. There were no issues, my only concern is making friends and a real community there.
Beautiful video, shots, music and production as always! That house was incredible! unbelievable how beautiful it is, the space and the price! Amaazing!
Ohhh my God ! All that gorgeous property for 800 $ all inclusive .....absolutely gorgeous!!! And u can have chickens 🐔 and plant your own garden ....mind-blowing!!!! I just want to cry ....as the USA has become so unaffordable!!! Cuenca has been on my radar for the last 2 yrs . Hopefully, I'll take that leap of faith . You guys look so in love with life in Ecuador 🇪🇨 ❤ Thank you for this relaxing video. ❤❤❤
Indeed is a great price and the house looks gorgeous. Just note the distance to the city. But if you have transportation and don't mind living a real country life, then this house looks amazing.
I hope you take the leap of faith too☺️. It will be totally worth it. The journey many not be easy, but it'll be worth it. Your dream life is waiting for you, if not here, somewhere else in the world. The world is so big, there's no point staying where you're unhappy. Although, these videos are highlight reels of our weeks, and we equally have challenges living here( "life life's everywhere lol, u get what I mean?) . We're still much happier here. We appreciate you watching and commenting. Thank youuuu❤️
Facts. I live in San Francisco I'm in a not so good area and these apartments has roaches, poor quality of maintenance and charged $ 2000 for a 250 square foot studio. Insane. This is not just San Francisco, rents across the US are up by 40% and many corporations are buying up homes and lobbying laws to prevent affordable housing to keep supply low and prices high. I'm working to create online income and then move out. Done with the greed in the USA.
Love your videos. We are leaving for our life abroad next year and we are pretty much sold in Mexico but everytime I see one of your videos, I go back to exploring Ecuador 😊
Thanks so much Tonya. I think if you can afford to check out Ecuador before settling in Mexico, it'll be worth your while. Just for contrast and clarity. I have a friend who just got back to Cuenca from a trip to Mexico, who said he and his family prefer it here. Personally, I think it all depends on what you're looking for when it comes to your move.
I'm in Mexico right now and I advise you to explore more into Ecudor ..Mexico is almost as expensive as usa and alot of scams ..I am looking at Ecudor myself .
I just stumbled across your channel and have to say your channel is one of the very best produced TH-cam channels I've seen. Music is absolutely beautiful and relaxing while enjoying your beautifully smooth video transitions as you show the property. Absolutely stunning production quality and as a bonus, the properties are not just functional but fantastic. Informative and Beautiful! Cheers from Canada :)
Wow Warren. Thanks so much for your kind words. We're always happy to hear people are enjoying the channel and videos. Appreciate you watching and commenting. Have a wonderful week. Cheers from Ecuador 😁
😂😂😂😂 We're sorry we couldn't make it last week. But all is well over here. We just so exhausted from moving around and shooting, and not enough time to edit. We have more real estate videos coming you way, so stay tuned 😉
@@TheXplorasDiary Good to hear all is well! Totally understand, is kinda like watching a favorite NFL team and boom it's an off week and panic. Keep up the amazing work, in time you gonna have five, six and seven figure views every episode, your videos are unique and stunning.
Thanks so much too for watching and commenting. At the moment, we're enjoying looking at rentals and getting a look into the real estate landscape here in Cuenca.
I agree with you, the second house is totally worth it. I think the distance from the city is what might turn people off. But for people who don't mind the 45min travel. It's perfect and worth every penny. Thanks for watching and commenting. Appreciate you 🙏🏾
I think having a car would be perfect for this location, but there's supposedly stores nearby where you can get what you need. I think this location would be ideal for homebodies
Hi Dawn, thanks for watching and commenting. Yes, I can recommend airbnb we've stayed at. www.airbnb.com/rooms/16719732?source_impression_id=p3_1723575371_P3ROmi5q3QO7Zf9r www.airbnb.com/rooms/24650322?source_impression_id=p3_1723575371_P3gNuwwMLMBK_yy2 They're all from the same guy, Rolendio. We like him, and have stayed in two of his listings many times. Hope this helps
Staying in Centro is ideal, especially when visiting because you get to experience the city more by just walking around. Lots of restaurants, cafes etc in that area. I hope you like it too.
Yeahhh!!! been looking for you two. Bro has some pretty fine dance steps 🙂 Could you add >direction from Cuenca (N, S, E, W) gives clue to weather. AND bus (s) avail. ? Be there in a month. Need any spices ? ordering.... Rentals, ping pong, dancing , food :-) GREAT!
Hiya, long time no see. I was wondering how you were doing too. Glad to see you're ok and your prep towards your move is going along smoothly. And oh, I'll make sure it ask which direction from Cuenca next time. I think there are busses available in that area as well. Thanks for watching and commenting ☺️
@@TheXplorasDiary Question: restaurant (?chocolatier?) w cast iron pans ? ->can I buy cast iron pans in Cuenca? I'm packing one or two which seems insane ??? Also, down comforter needed? Bring your own down pillow? [ Airlines saying two suitcases. I'm going thru mental torture. haha. ]
@@BPe-ie9je Hmmm.. next time I go to Paccari house I'll ask the owner if she bought the cast irons here.. to be honest, I haven't seen a lot of them, but it's perhaps because i haven't looked. What I've seen a lot of are clay pots/pans. But i don't think it's impossible to find. I believe you can find comforters and pillows here. If you have only two suitcases, I recommend prioritizing your essentials.
The internet works great, I think...( but we didn't actually stay there overnight etc, so I wont be able to give you an accurate evaluation of it's quality) , and I believe they'll be fine with small kids
@@Tavosmother Yea, you're right. I see where you're coming from. The price is high for the average Ecuadorian family. However, there are also wealthy Ecuadorians who can afford this home. The property is in fact owned by an Ecuadorian family, who use it as their vacation home while having another home in Cuenca. Thanks for watching and commenting. Appreciate your contribution.

Cuenca is on my list of places to visit, the house is beautiful, but too far out from everything. I would need a car. I need the ability to get food and coffee shop.. my preference is to walk, but I cannot see walking out there. It didn’t appear to be any side walks. I do enjoy the music, but please lower it when people are talking. It was harder to hear him
