Sold to the highest bidder, beautiful cinematography 🎉🎉🎉🎉
beautiful. you are so talented.
Great long-term 2/3rd apartment with amenities. As said, your personal items, fat cating in both 🎉🎉🎉🎉
That Jacuzzi! I bet that felt so good! Stunning dome you stayed in the first night. I would love to stay in one. Everything about the place you stayed at really makes me want to go there. I'm happy for you both to have been able to fulfil that dream from your bucket list 💖💖 We come from nature so it is important for us to spend as much time in it as possible. I haven't watched that film entirely. I tried watching it once and I only got through about 10 or so minutes and I had to turn it off as something came up and I never got back to it. I've been meaning to give it a go again. It's always in movies where they show us what goes on in Hollyweird and around the world. The ideas for most movies comes from what actually is in real life but make it look like it is just a story. Disturbing.
OMG! That Jacuzzi was everything I needed and more. Especially, because we don't have a bath tub at home. It was so nice to be able to soak and relax in water. And YES, YES, YES to the nature bit. I've just recently re-awakened to how important nature is to us, and I don't let myself go too long without trying to connect with mother Nature. It's much needed. And Oh yes, I think Eyes Wide Shut is clearly exposing the nature of the parties happening in hollyweird 😂😂 I wonder what you'd think of watching it years later, with everything going on in the industry.
@ Aww I’m glad the jacuzzi made you feel so good!! Having no tub is hard hey? We have one but it is shallow and just not worth trying to have a bath in it when the water only goes up to your belly button. Ok it’s a tiny bit deeper than that but you get it haha Cleansing ourselves in the forest is definitely one of my favourite things to do. Here on Vancouver Island we have ancient trees in semi temperate rain forests. Perfect place to spend time 💖💖 I should try to find the movie tonight.
Very helpful and easy to follow. Encouraging me to step up my Spanish game so we can have fun in the markets.
1 pound of beef for $ 2.30 WOOOOOWWWW!!!! Here in San Francisco, CA , USA 1 pound of ground beef cost $ 10.99
Way overpriced!
Hi, I emailed you about visiting Ecuador. I haven’t received a response yet, I was wondering if you got the email? I sent it through your website.
Hi Langston, I responded to you on 24th October. Please check your spam, just incase my email ended up there. Please let me know if you've received it.
Hi Langston, can you please let me know if you received my response.
@ I haven’t received your response yet.
@ hi, sorry I must have missed it I just found it in my email. Thank you!
Great video and edit. Sooo beautiful. Amaazing job showcasing the space. Well done!!!
Thank you so much!! glad you liked it ❤️
Very envious of you two fat cats in the cheese factory of living. One must hasting plans to visit/relocate to this beautiful country. p.s. ballpark figure on yiur stay cation. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉Thanks again
😂😂Awww, don't be envious, it's just a highlight reel😂. Life be life'ing everywhere. But Ecuador is truly a beautiful country worth visiting. The food (Lunch/Dinner) costs between $6-14, and the plates are quite huge. The Dome costs $120 a night. If you have about 2 meals during a one night stay, the total would be about $150. This was a partnership with them though, so we didn't have to pay that full amount.
I was wondering where I buy my CBD products when I get to Cuenca Ecuador Thanks Judith and Duke
Oh, and there are a number of CBD stores in Cuenca, so that'll be easy to find.
I see you withdraw cash from ATMs in Cuenca. Can you tell us the costs involved? The fees charged by the local banks and/or the fees charged by your US banks. Thanks!
We both use our Bank of America accounts/debit cards. Cost from the bank: $5 international withdraws The atm fees here typically range from $3-5, however we use Banco de Guayaquil which charges $1.52. It's the cheapest we've found so far. Maximum withdrawal per session is $400 Hope this helps
How is the safety out there? Been hearing the political climate has things sketchy lately. Thanks!
We feel safe here in Cuenca. No we've had no course for worry or anxieties about our safety.
No social life in Ecuador? No health goals? No volunteering in Ecuador? No friends in Ecuador? No spiritual life in Ecuador? No book or blog to write, no hobbies, no goals, no vision? No plan for the present or future? You may take time to heal in Ecuador.--that is what you need. However, I don't need 5 years of aimlessly doing nothing, I'd go crazy. My soul needs more. My life has a purpose and I will complete it. "Man does not live by bread alone."
How can I find this place?
Check on airbnb. Link www.airbnb.com/rooms/803746091305066247?viralityEntryPoint=1&unique_share_id=6EB8167F-5BCF-4050-9BEA-393BBE7A2498&slcid=9d23da70781d484a9c9ccb3acaba03fa&s=76&feature=share&adults=1&channel=native&slug=pc0nOQPC&source_impression_id=p3_1730137660_P3agintQHJ15DN0o
I visited Cuenca in May to consider it a possible future retirement option. It was an incredible experience in every way. My college-aged daughter and I felt safe walking all around, and the food was delicious and cheap everywhere. There were no issues, my only concern is making friends and a real community there.
Just wow! All locations are beautiful. A must visit for sure. Whats the details on the scarf and does it come with the broach?
I look forward to your video each Sunday. Another great job.
Thanks so much Robin ❤️❤️
I appreciate that you two show us all of the shops. I prefer natural products and knowing that these places are available will make it easier for when I am able to make it there! 💖💖
Yes, it was important for us to highlight to our viewers that these shops exist here. It's such a relief to be able to find clean natural products here. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Excellent video people.....keep it going.....how are the blackouts affecting you two????
Thanks so much. Fortunately for us, we live in a building with a generator so we haven't been affected too much.

I would be really interested in seeing answers to the excellent questions posed by your subscribers. 😊
Hahaha the questions have been answered. You can ask, if you have some of your own that have not been answered in the comments.
Another winner apartment, and the price/amenities can not be beaten. Love the back music🎉
Glad you loved it. The building was nice and it's a great location as well. Thanks for watching and commenting 💐❤️
Thanks my friends as usual just beautiful!!!
Thank you so much 🙏🏾💐
OMG --- I'm old - alone - and have no need for such a huge space. Much rather have a small frugal studio - but well equipped like that one ! -- How much are the small frugal studios renting for (?) fully furnished in nice areas with good food nearby ? 🤔 Curious how cheaply one could get by for ?
I'd budget $350 - $550 for what you're looking for, it'll be important to define what your budget is and also start from there. It'll help you find something within your price range.
Love the video. How are you making out with the power outages?
Thanks so much Dawn. Fortunately for us, we live in a building with a generator so the blackouts haven't impacted us too negatively, especially with regards to working online.
Is there no job opportunities for expats?
Nope. There are not even enough jobs here for the local Ecuadorians. And jobs here don't pay nearly as much. So it's best for expats/immigrants to find online jobs in the US. A good amount of expats teach english online to supplement their income. Online gigs are a better way to go.
Pacari looks great! Thanks for showing us the shops. Love your videos!
Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Your videos are romantic, beautiful...so tell me, If my budget was $4,000 a month, could I have a luxury retirement in Cuenca?
Definitely
You would have an indulgent, luxe life here.
With a $4000 budget, you can live like a KING/QUEEN here. You can live a very luxurious... my only recommendation would be for you to take an exploratory trip here to make sure it's a great fit for you first.
Love your content!
Thank you so much ❤️
Peace my friend! ❤ the video! Just left a meet up and shared your info!
Heeeey Tonya, thanks so much for spreading the love and sharing the channel. ❤️💐 Appreciate you 🙏🏾
Keep enjoying. All the best 🇪🇨
Thank you so much ❤️🙏🏾
I'm an old man - retired on SS in the US - looking for a frugal studio in Cuenca (!) none of these elaborate extravagant large spaces are appropriate at all ! An easy to clean and be comfortable small well furnished studio would be desirable. And obviously for a much cheaper price ! Close to 32 sq meters would be my ideal - and well furnished. = How much are 'these' (?) in the Cuenca area ? > A range would be nice -- thank you !
Hi, I think you can find something like that for $400+ if you want a western standard fully furnished place. You can find something in the $300 if you want an unfurnished place. Unfurnished places are usually less expensive than fully furnished places. It'll all depend on your budget and standards. I'd budget $300 - $550 for a simple place like that.
We are also Americans in our 30s who left. We started our adventures in Mexico and are very interested in Cuenca!
Cuenca is a beautiful place. However, Ecuador is currently suffering from an energy crises that has lead to scheduled nationwide blackouts, so keep that in mind if you all work online. It'll be important to find a place to stay with a generator so your online work isn't interrupted
Oh goody ! Another show and tell Cuenca. I asked before,,,if you answered I missed ::: Pacaari has CAST IRON PANS...... can those be purchased in Cuenca ??? (I'm packing and can't imagine life without my cast iron pan(s) ? Many thanks. ) Rental,,,bedrooms small,,, didnt see closets? if in back of building not an issue,,,if noisy street = apt. w windows/slider open,,, not to my liking. Livingroom, kitchen nice. Thanks. Love seeing places. Tks for location. La Vergel. Gracies = terrific. tks. Food & prices wonderful. Tks. A great week to you both.
Yes, you can absolutely find cast iron pans here. The last time someone in Cuenca commented sharing you can find some in Coral here. I don't think you need to pack those heavy pans, much better to save that space/weight for your other essentials. Hope this helps 💐
I am here now. 10/24 loving the city. Spoke with a realtor.
I am here now @ the four points Sheraton
How did I miss this video?!
Your meal looks sooooo dang Yummers!!! Mmmm I've always wanted to try plantain, it looks delicious. You two really know how to cook! I am always so blown away by the markets there in Ecuador, so many different foods. It is beautiful to see such an abundance.
You SHOULD ABSOLUTELY try sweet ripe plantains. It'll change your life 😂😂 They are do DELISH!!! Thank you ❤️
Hi 👋🏽 I was gifted your video by the algorithm and I truly appreciate everything about it 💕😊 I’ve been planning to spend the winter in Ecuador and could not figure out where to start, but your video helped me to choose Cuenca first. As a black professional woman age 50, that doesn’t speak much Spanish and doesn’t have any social media accounts other than TH-cam, can you help with any tips for finding a safe and accessible place to rent for Dec and/or Jan? Thanks again for your lovely video ❤🙏🏾
My first recommendation would be to create a Facebook account lol even if it's only to join expat groups on Facebook. They are super helpful in finding real estate, apartments and tapping into a helpful network of people who are already here. Jason at YapaTree, yapatree.com/cuenca-short-term-rentals/ also has some links to some short term rentals in some good areas, Jason speaks english and can help you find something. Hope this helps.
Loved this video. Thank you. My wife is Ecuadorian and thought now in the States, have been thinking about moving to the mountains close to Cuenca. We visited Cuenca about a year ago and stayed about two weeks near the mountains of Cajas. It was amazing.
great video and edit as usual!!❤
Thank you so much!! glad you liked it.
OMG my mouth is watering!!
Hahahaha Thank you. it was delicious 😂
I've lived in Cuenca for 5.5 years. I've been at the coast since May and REALLY miss my Feria Libre y mi muy bonito ciudad de Cuenca! Coming back soon!
Thanks for sharing! I hope you make it back safe❤️
Is it true that electricity is a problem in Ecuador?
Yes, it's true. The country is currently going through an energy crises. There are nationwide blackouts, so it's best to live in a building with a generator
WOW
❤️
Another one out the ballpark, music, cinematography and how can one not fall head over heels on the prices, wow.🎉🎉🎉🎉 must think seriously about making "the move".....😊😊😊😊
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Much appreciated ❤️🙏🏾
I miss Cuenca. Thanks for sharing this.
