Great back nine 👌 I've played the course 2 times. First time I played horrible 88 shots with a hcp 6. Second time i made it round in 81 with a hcp 7,4 Such a hard course to play and to many "blind" shots for my taste. But a well kept course and great service in the club house.
Hey Stig! Yeah it’s fun to play, and the people are friendly for sure, but I wouldn’t necessarily expect to play my handicap there 😅. No matter what handicap you are, an 88 if it’s the first time playing there is totally reasonable. And an 81 is very respectable. There’s loads of blind shots and in general it’s a course you have to play several times before you can expect to score, if at all.
I played AlHaurin in November when I was on holiday bear Malaga. It absolute broke me. I had 2 birdies on the back 9 but it's such a tough course. Enjoyed watching mate! Fents
Yeah that course is wild! I mean it’s pretty fun playing once or twice, especially considering I’m coming from mostly flat terrain. But I don’t think it’s a course to be taken very seriously. It’ll be hard to have a really great round around there
Aha okay, great! You’ll catch it soon enough as well probably 😅. I’m teaching my partner a bit now and she’s ready to buy a bag and get fully into it 👍
Played Alhaurin a few times around 20 yrs ago, usually a nightmare. Playing it again this October, will probably find a few of my balls lost all those tears ago. Great vid. What ever happened to Monte Mayor??
Hey Alan. Hehe yeah, you’ll find some of mine as well I think. Played it a few times now and for as much fun it is, it remains a roller coaster experience 😅. Monte mayor I’ve heard of several times but never been myself. Maybe next time I’m in Spain I can check it out. For now I’m based in Portugal and discovering more of the courses in the Algarve

And thanks a lot for watching! Appreciate it 🙏
What's your HCP? Did well on that back 9, tho!
Yeah the back nine were definitely easier. My official handicap right now is 11.2. What about you?
@bobsgolf no hcp yet. just started playing again after 20ish years. (Now that my wife has caught the golfing bug)
