The greens are pretty fast, but I like em that way. What other courses have you decided to play in the area? Hope the weather in London will improve shortly, spring is around the corner 👍
Hi Bob We are staying at Marconfort Griego Hotel. We will be playing Torrequebrada, Calanova, Chaparral, and 2 others still to be decided. We may opt to play one of them twice. Hopefully weather improves in London. We just came back from Marrakesh after 10 nights. Played Sammanah, Al Maaden, Royal Marrakesh, Assoufid and Noria. Thinking going back February for an extended break. Beautiful part of the world and the golf courses are fantastic. But thank you for the Calanova tip and info. Going in early October. Chaparral is a course I’m very familiar with and I have some videos on my channel as well in case you want a sneak peek. Torrequebrada is a fantastic course, haven’t filmed it yet but played it twice now and it’s absolutely stunning. It sounds like you’ll be in the area of Mijas so I would also recommend you to check out Santana. It’s a bit away from the coast (no views) but it’s a loved course by many on the costa del sol. Hey Chris! That’s amazing, there’s some great courses also nearer to Gibraltar. The Costa del Sol, also aptly named Costa del Golf is full of great courses. I’m sure you’ll have a fantastic time playing some rounds there.

Ah no! Sorry, didn’t mean to cause any golf depression 😂. I’ve actually been a 10 handicapper back in 2012. But haven’t really played or had a handicap since. So when I learned that in Spain I would have to start at handicap 28, I figured that would make for a fun challenge. Seeing how far I can get my handicap down after 5 rounds. This was one of my better rounds by the way, I don’t always play like this 😅
Hey Sven! Thanks a lot for checking it out. At the moment I use a standard iPhone 12, a simple tripod with a phone holder, and a rode video mic go (which I broke last week 😑). I edit everything on DaVinci 👍

Hey Sam, thanks a lot. No I’m actually around a 10 handicap. This was a bit of a challenge because apparently if I would register in Spain they would only allow me to start on handicap 28, no lower. And the only way to lower your handicap would be to play official competition. I just made a little challenge out of it to see how far I could get my handicap down after 5 rounds 😃
That is correct. The premise of this challenge was that if I would become a member of the Spanish Golf Association, I would have to start on handicap 28. I wasn’t allowed to get a lower handicap since I didn’t have an official handicap in over 10 years, and the only way to lower a handicap apparently was by playing in official tournaments. That was the inspiration behind this challenge. So I played 5 rounds to see where my handicap would land roughly if I started at 28. But by all mean my handicap is more around 10 👍
