- My LT1 and a friends cammed LS1 Camaro's.
My 1996 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 with T56 six speed and LT1 350 V8. Long tube headers, no cats, no egr, no air pump, hooker exhaust, pro kit, monroe shocks.
2001 SS has cam, ls6 heads, gmmg with brola, koni, bmr springs, etc.
Man, I could listen to these cars all day

LS1 is the better motor but LT1's make the best sound, imo.

I think it's because ls1 has a different firing order they made it better the old pattern comes two cylinders the ls1 sounds like a boat because it breaths better
it is a different firing order. i own both cars, and my LT1 sounds better.

5th gen camaros are pretty nice. 400+hp and still fairly light.
I love my 4th gen and I would only take a 5th or 6th gen if it was a zl1
@@rareopportunity7896 Fairly light for an SUV. Nothin with less than five seats should ever be over 3800 lbs. The 4th gen is in the 3350-3450 ballpark and can be upgraded to 400+ hp in a weekend.

Had the '96ss with the factory stainless steel catback exhaust and sounded awesome. Maybe I'll get another Camaro in the future. Can get almost as much power in the turbo 2.0 as the v8 back in the 90's. Technology is wonderful thing.

Trey nah I’ve owned an lt1 and currently own an ls1, lt1 sounds deeper and more old school no doubt, ls1 sounds more pissed off up high, I love both but I wouldn’t disagree with an lt1 sounding beefier

I got it in 2010 but it was 100% different. Car was sold new in MI, then went to texas for most its life until about a year before I got it.

At the time it had long tubes, ory, hooker exhaust. Later on I put a cam in it. I have other videos up. I sold it in July and bought a 98 LS1 Z28.

the LS1 is a vastly superior engine. There is zero drawback to having it for 99% of people.
Ls1 better stock to stock but if you trying to do a budget build lt1 the way to go
