Daaamn!!!! My Minolta was release shutter without film easily…with film after 2frames it stacked. Replaced capacitors - didn’t help…. Tried this one with gear and it helped Bless you man!❤
Hey Hansome, I wanted to ask that is it fairly easy to replace Sony a7iv hot shoe or do you have to disassemble most of the body to do it? And where can we find the replacement part? Btw really LOVE your videos!! SUPER HELPFUL never stop making these video 😊
Hi! Thanks for watching I'm glad you're enjoying the content. Unfortunately, the hot shoe on Sony cameras isn't as easy as Canon's R series cameras (like the R6). Because it's a smart hotshoe with connector pins, you have to disassemble basically the entire camera and you've got boards on top of the hotshoe screws. It's not a super common issue, so I don't get that repair very often, but I might make a video on it!
Just took a look at one I have in for repair for a different issue and I've found that it's easier to just replace the entire top cover than it is to replace the hot shoe. I recommend looking into that before going for the specific part.
@@klausphotobaer5754 yeah, unfortunately when I went to open up the camera it had way to much corrosion and wetness inside from the previous owner. Smelled terrible with that vinegar type smell and everything was fried from a bad battery being left in it.
Sir! You are awesome, Thank you for your help and advised too. God Bless. Roger

Hello Hansome, where can i send my camera for repair😅. I have sony a7 iv with broken mechanical shutter
Goto my website and fill out a form and that will get you started.
Mine has an issue with the shutter not working and allowing me to wind the film advance. I replaced the batteries but still won’t work.
You have to replace the capacitor ( 10 uf, if I remember right ) . Have done this on several stuck 300, 370 … same with 700

Can i do this exactly the same way on a x300?
The process is similar but the X300 does encounter a similar issue!
Does the Minolta SRT 101 have the same problem / solution by any chance? Thank you very much!
No, the SRT 101 doesn't have the same issue.
SRT is completely different ( completely mechanical ) . Service Manual is available online
Do you have a website? My minolta is having the same issue as the camera in the video. Do you still do repairs?
Yeah I do repairs every day! If you'd like, send me a message through my linktree. You can find it in the bio of my youtube profile.
