@@vladislavstanimirovic9650 I have the exact same problem, I just replaced 'both' capacitors with some original 4v 220 uf and after this still the same results, I tried the 6.3v 220uf aswell, hoping they would do! Even with new capacitors I still have the same problem.. All electronics are working like it should, only it just won`t fire the damn shutter. (only sometimes like in this video) I have a near mint model from the 1991 last production run, serial number 27xxxxx, everything is clean, curtains and mirror like brand new, also inside electronics seem fine and minty.. I would like to know what to do, I really need a fix for this.. The reason I got this camera in the first place is because it should be so good and is highly recommended, would like to believe that.. There is no real in depth tech channels and or forums covering this issue, even when it seems to bother all x-700 owners someday..
I have a slightly different issue, in that the touch-feature of the shutter-button doesn't always activate on touch. - I also have an XG2, and on that one it's even worse.

I have this problem too. But for me it works out if i just turn the silver winding screw on the bottom side of the camera clockwise after winding the shutter. It does a little click sound and then i can fire the shutter. I don't have a solution on how to fix this for ever but for me doing this as an extra step every time i take a photo is good enough. Hope I'm not too late and this helps you too.
Capacitors may cause an issue. Minolta's which were made in china had this problem, cause they didn't use tantalum capacitors, but electrolytic. After couple of years, these literally blows up. Remove bottom plate, and see if it's true.

Probably because the capacitors are not holding sufficient charge to release the shutter. Oh it's already been mentioned
I have a slightly different issue, in that the touch-feature of the shutter-button doesn't always activate on touch. - I also have an XG2, and on that one it's even worse.
This guy is really going at it major Pressure force down . how to break a touch sensitive unit. The electronic is shot
