4:52 no, deadlock should never lurk. Sentinels devide betweem sunclasses and deadlock is like sage a fortifier -> your team needs you to hold the side and in fact you can initiate with your gravnet so NO DO NOT LURK WITH DEADLOCK
I disagree with this entirely, sentinels are THE role to lurk on, like I said there isn’t a real condition to lurking just some should and some shouldn’t mainly initiators and entry duelist, I do agree that you have a powerful initiating tool with the gravnet which I also mentioned going between both is a good idea. But lurking isn’t a terrible idea to do every now and then and I do it all the time on deadlock depending on the map, it also ends up working out as after your team takes site you are able to come to site from your lurk, fortify the site up which at this time it’s better then before because your utility is set up later in the round so that 30 seconds of up time is really potent, you’ll have net to toss to stop the defenders from flooding in since you didn’t use it to initiate, and then sensors will be placed as well. By lurking your really only losing value of the initiating aspect of her kit and even then it’s not that big of a deal, once again that’s why I said to do it sometimes, I have the same opinion for when your playing on haven, lurking can also help with the issue of deadlock not being able to watch flank. So on and so on but that’s just my opinion, if you don’t want to watch flank on deadlock you don’t have to but I don’t agree you should never do it and I believe you’ll lower your flexibility on deadlock if you don’t
@@Gibyn disagree with this, especially on the map being discussed. You aren't just losing the initiator aspect of Deadlocks kit if you lurk, you lose what makes her attack so potent on this map, in the complete denial of space when taking a site against an already funneled defense. The reason lower elo players find fracture overwhelming isn't just because you defend vs a split attack. It's because it is the quickest map to rotate on the game and you are usually fighting both sites vs 3/4 as an attacker. The trade off of the defense being so easy to rotate is that they are forced to scale vs 2 very narrow chokes which the attackers have easy access to. CT/rope on A and canteen/gen on B. Playing Deadlock on attack on this map can completely isolate the defense site players from their team and turn 2 entry points to the site in to 3. Lets say your team agree to hit A, if you take sand and wall top rope while it is smoked, you've now opened 3 lanes on to the site with no risk of a rotator being able to shoot you in the back by either timing a walk through smoke or waiting for it to drop so no eyes need to be there and your whole team can focus site on 3 lanes. Same applies on B if you wall gen from Aracde, you've opened up being able to split arcade in to 2 lanes, with no risk of them swinging the smoke on gen. While lurking on this map is good don't get me wrong, it is the least effective of any map in the game because the rotate time as an attacker is double+ to that of a defender. So even if you do lurk opposite site and gain a pick, the defense will still be able to rotate before your team if you decide to rotate, and if they dont, you have 1 lane to flank site. The other reason is on most other maps your team will will be fighting sites 4v2 and sometimes 4v3 at a push whereas Fracture will usually be 4v3 and sometimes 4v4. I also think if you are lurking on deadlock on Fracture, you are never going to be in a position to use what makes her kit so good, you can't set up good trips on site when your team have it, and you can't throw a wall that isn't instantly breakable.
@@WyleyArts I like the points you make a lot, I’ll agree that deadlock is stronger with her team and being able to set up the site / cut off rotations with her wall. BUT I massively disagree with lurking being the least effective on this map compared to any other and I will go to say that the defenders rotating fast is a weakness to them as it makes the lurk timing WAY easier then other maps especially as your able to hear the defenders rotating much easier then other maps. Lurking up also allows deadlock to set up on that site in particular very easily as the defenders are rotated off or you can lurk up to pinch the defenders in their spawn and be a nuisance as they try to stop your team from planting. The rotation is fast but your team should have a plan if your running the lurk to contact explode so they can get on site and plant with minimal effort and then you lurk up to be that pinch in their spawn, as time ticks down they have to split their resources to dealing with you and trying to fight on site while also having bomb tick down. I will admit I should have been more specific and maybe was a little misleading in the video with my word usage. Deadlock is going to be very strong with her team fighting for space with net and setting up on site which I did mention right after saying lurking on her is going to be great in the video. But I mainly was meaning to highlight that lurking on her isn’t a terrible idea and could be very beneficial on this map just like I would say on haven lurking is also incredibly strong and I personally do it all the time and find great success on both maps. And I think this an agree to disagree topic as if you don’t want to lurk that’s fine and if you do that’s fine to! I mainly was just pointing out how I believed it could be strong and wanted to cover everything I thought about for this map!
In a general term, yes I think deadlock is good but not as good as cypher but definitely better then sage. On fracture? I think she’s the second best if not best option if I’m honest, it really depends on what you want on the map
what a movie! never expected to say this but im actually really excited to play on this map (and thanks for including my canteen ult)!!
