- So the EP3 is sold, we're getting to put the K24 motor in which we believe will be the best option for this car.
The car sold to a good friend of ours and we're going to include a few extra goodies along the way.
We finally show George's replacement car I loaned him money for 2 months ago. The Christmas spirit is in the air, Everyone gets something this year and we're sharing it with you all.

Hello LHT gang. I missed this episode the other day and just had to come back. Wow, that is so nice, George.😍 I owned a blue 2009 Si sedan, not a Mugen and not that gorgeous shade of blue. Great purchase! It's clear to see you're a good man and an awesome friend, John. So, you're turning a little gray, huh? The 06-08 K24a2 were fantastic.
John/George, the black pillar area around the windows are covered in black vinyl. Underneath is actually painted the same color as the body. It looks pretty nice with it removed. I have the same car, 2007 but non Mugen, great car!
I subscribed for your s2000 kraftwerks install vids long before i even bought my s2k and krafwerks kit this year, vids are full of THE BEST info. Yall are THE WIZARDS OF THE KIT hands down! Its very nice to see John treat George and Ester so well and visa versa! Shop people work so much together we become family. The civic was definetly earned but to have the shop owner be there for his employees is like seeing the company who gave 10 million to emplyees this morning! This makes my day!

@@LHTPerformance THANK YOU LHT! myself and many others have built our kraftwerks s2k kits (c38-92 intake piping, clutch kits, oil cooler routing, fuel tips, etc) based soley off your vids! If my rotrex unit comes back from kraftwerks only needing the hub bolt replaced, Can i call ester and schedule to pay labor hours for you to view the newly installed belt tension vid and simply suggest "To loose or to tight"?

Congrats! I'm up here in Jacksonville and own a completely stock Mugen Si with 95,000 miles. I drive it most days and my S2000 some days. Off the top of my head, here are the Mugen parts that came on the car: front lip, side skirts, rear valence, rear wing, sports grill, front and rear badges, GP wheels, exhaust, shocks and springs, and shift knob. There were also some Mugen options (brake lines, pads and rotors, short shifter, door sill covers, etc.) that are now super difficult to source. It's a unique car and really excels in third gear on a windy backroad, which are unfortunately difficult to find in Florida.

Man this makes me miss my FG2. Everyone just sees a Civic but they're probably the last of high revving K motor. The right color, and yeah when I bought my FG2 back in 2008 there was a Mugen in the showroom with a 35k sticker.

Very awesome pick up! I have an 8th gen FA5 as well, so these cars are near and dear to me. On thing to note is that the front lip ypu have there is not the native Mugen lip that comes with that trim. What you have is the optional front lip, but I actually think it looks better than the Mugen Si front lip IMO. Looking forward to what you guys do with this one!
Cruz_Control I also have the original front lip it’s been bumped into a parking block and will be fixed and painted
its a shame Mugen didn't tune the engine also. the suspension on that car is really driver orientated, great in its own right, but another 40-50 hp would have really made it. awesome find guys. going to be interesting watch it evolve.

I drive to Florida for vacation every year. I’ve only seen one mugen in the years I go. I always fantasize about driving mine down. I won’t because my truck gets hit with rocks every time. The mugen is my favorite civic the U.S. has ever and will ever have. What about the type r? Ehhhh it’s vtec isn’t what I signed up for when I got into hondas. I still have respect for that car but back in the 90s and feeling b series vtec I’ll never forget it. It’s way too fun.

Nice 8th gen. Got to have that rear bumper straightened out. Looks like it was hit. Take a look at the right rear brakes. Something is handing up. Rotor looks like it got toasty

George I hope you are very happy with your Mugen SI!! it is one trick car, with huge amount of trick parts, Please try to keep the exterior as original as possible, especially those wheels! You should keep the carbon fiber wing, it looks amazing, do you have any plans to modify the engine for more horsepower?

Use an uncut RBC or RRC inlet, better power, no drilling required, no ktuned part required

nice car george. i worked at a honda dealer as a tech when they came out. not every dealer even got 1....ours only got 1 and it was a fairly large dealership. i think only 500 or 1000 were made
With all these k24 swaps i see. The price is eventually going to go up. 🤫 keep these motors cheap so when im ready it is still affordable.

Great pick up George! The 8th gen Si platform is an awesome car, the suspensions can be worked on (ie LCA bushings, rear camber arms, rear anti sway bar and coil overs) will make it a fun canyon car! Cant wait to see what you guys do to it!

I’ve always wanted a Mugen Si but couldn’t afford it. Tried to find a regular Si in that color but couldn’t so I ended up with a silver one. It’s bone stock and it’s a super fun daily.

I'm gonna go K24 next year, I have an 05 EP3 same color.
So far I've done all suspension and tire mods.
Hardrace Roll center tie rods, extended ball joints, sway bar end links.
Type r rear sway bar with ASR sunframe brace.
K sport kontrol coilovers.
S2000 ap1 wheels reverse staggered. 225/50r16 front.. 205/50r16 rear dunlop direzza.
It is fun around corners.
GHOST THIRTEEN It’s such a fun car with the K24 in there. You’ll love it.

I had the same blue ep3 as you. And have a mugen too. I looked to see if you had vids of yours. I’m putting up some in the spring of mine. My brother got a 2000 b18c civic and now I’m in the mood to play with my mugen again!

Nice. BTW, the windshield wipers are on wrong. The passenger blade is supposed to be above the driver's. Not the other way around.
I’m that will get addressed at the same time he fixes the plastics around the cowl. It’s being apart and put back together wrong.

I remember when the Mugen Si came out I thought it would be cool to have and then I saw the sticker price was like $30k. Seemed crazy expensive at the time but as a used car, heck yes.

Love this car, in the middle price range should have gotten it between 10-12k. Depending on miles and condition of course either way this is awesome
I’m from the UK and there is a few of these kicking about, they were all JDM imports and Type-R badged. The chassis code is FD2 and I believe they had the most powerful K20 from factory.

A Mugen SI!!! I'm _really_ glad you guys have this thing. There's a pretty big youtuber out there that is utterly *RUINING* a Mugen SI by building it just like every other stanced, ricer Civic. Damn near everything that makes the Mugen version special has been replaced or irreparably modified.
I know this one is in good hands, since every mod you do, if you guys do any at all, will be tasteful and compliment the rest of the car.

Nice addition! I have one with a CT Engineering blower on it. Lots of fun to drive but I dont drive it to much since it only has 41k miles on it. I see yours is missing the Mugen front lip though

I'm in the middle of doing a 5 lug, I'm replacing all the chassis bushings with Hardrace bushings. buyhardrace.com. RTA bushings are a nightmare.
If he want's easy way out, buy base model RSX or 04-05 EP3 wheel bearings and wheel spindles, and just pull the spindles and bearings out of the hubs and be done with it. The hubs are all the same for the cars.

Did you guys look into replacing the steering rack slider? Perfect time with the motor out.
I just installed one from SHG. The bracket for the inner tie rods already feels 100x stiffer. Honda is taking forever to get me inner tie rod lock washers. I can’t wait to have it back together and off jack stands.
I also snagged DaVinci racing EP3 inner tie rods and OEM outer tie rods. DaVinci Racing has some really cool tie rods they machine from OEM ones to have way more adjustability.

All Motor, RWD, Hollow Camshafts, High Compression & ITB 2.5L 300+Hp Civic. Basically a Modern Day 4 Cylinder E36 M3 with Honda Reliability & LHT Power in a Civic that gets 30+ MPG's Hwy
