I read a few other interpretations of the ending, and one stood out to me.. the ending is just an illusion in Arthur's head while he's staring blankly at the tv and not him getting literally killed..the visitor and guy who stabs Arthur is actually Arthur himself, it's him going completely psychotic and killing his old personality to make way for the new one who embraces hatred for society and wants chaos.. it's more than likely untrue, but a neat idea..
Authur Fleck was never meant to be The Joker. He is too sweet and innocent at heart. He desire love from others too much. The real Joker is a truly murderous, cold, villian who does not need or desire the love and admiration of others. He is hell bent on anarchy, destorying the systen, and corrupting/ proving his philosophy to Batman. Funny thing is that the real Joker (who kills Authur in the sequel) feels just as let down by Authur failing the persona of Joker as the fanbase does which is why he Kills Authur who he looked up to-Like Authur kills Murray "You get what you f**king deserve" A true origin story for Joker would ruin his character (Joker is the most enigmatic char in DC) the best they could do is a origin story for the real Jokers inspiration and role model.
I'm actually not mad at the concept of the ending, especially with what you mentioned. But it just felt like after the first film and the majority of what happens here, it was such a bizarre and flat way to end things. 😵💫🥴🙃
This movie shouldn't have been made. Everything was ambiguous in the first film and that's how it should have stayed. Also it should be assumed he has gone from being sad pathetic Arthur to delusional confident unhinged Joker who doesnt take shit off anyone anymore regardless if the events of the first film happened or not. It was about the growth or the destruction of who he was before and becoming someone else.. something else. How society as a whole played a role in morphing this human into the f'd up mess that is Joker.
Yeah that’s what I wanted the ending to be, but I guess the director pulled a Miles Morales and did his own thing 😭😭 which I could understand that side of it too, but it didn’t make for a good movie
It's not connected to DK trilogy in the slightest! For 1. It's an elseworld story and 2. Harvey Dent was in it and he was played by someone else, if they wanted it connected they'd of used the DK Harvey. Also I don't think the guy who unalived Arthur will be Batmans Joker, Harley and Arthurs kid will, Joker even sang a song saying something about he's son carrying on he's legacy making the world smile or something
I mean it could still work, it’s definitely a much younger Harvey Dent and he can be in law for a long time. But I absolutely do not want this disappointing movie to be connected to The Dark Knight in anyway 😂😂😂
@@Hanes4Heroes Yea I agree, it was trash!!!! Lol I love Joker 1. Such a disappointment. The musical element didn't work and Arthur and Joker seemed like different characters. I disagree about Harvey tho, the courthouse exploding is probably this Two Face origin
heath L. is the only real joker these movies sucked this joker is a joke an insult to the name they dumb down the whole thing so morons could say that the got the idea of the joker jack N. also did a good job as the joker . but this version sucks so bad as to bring even the tarnish the great jobs done by jack and heath not even leto's hack job is as all out bad as these two suck fests lets just say that this was some bad drug illusion of a morons nightmare and remove this whole mess from the joker's story
When me and my partner came out of the cinema after seeing this one G fought the same ending as yourself about being an introduction into Heath ledgers Joker. I don’t know if that is the case but it would be a occurrence
Right??! A part of me thinks that would be cool if it did tie into the Dark Knight, but also I was so disapppointed by this movie that I don't want Heath Ledger's legacy to be tied to it in any way haha
I agree with opinion on how Arthur fleck was killed by the true joker. Kinda disappointed but later accepted. Movie was great. I don’t know why it got so much hate because it was a musical but the musical part was because it was Arthur’s imagination and that was his escape. His little happy world. His escape from reality. I guess it fit hate cause people wanted mindless violence. And yes I thought the same thing that the new joker was a heath ledger based joker origin story. I hope a movie is made where this picks up.
What did you think of Joker 2? How you would change the ending?
It would’ve been so much better if this was a Traditional Joker Story. Just Pure Chaos and Mayhem with Harley at his Side.

Oooh if they ended the movie like that, I would have loved it. That sounds a ton better than what we actually got 😂🤘🤘🔥
Good riddance

That’s a valid point. I still don’t care for this ending, but it does make sense that Arthur can never become the joker

Thanks. The ending is real though, and the story writing is flawless. Its just we dont like what happened to Authur its depressing.
@@caughtrabbit that’s how I felt. It was just depressing, depressing, depressing, and then it ended and I was like “bruh 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️” 😂😂

It for sure was. The whole time I was like "What am I suppose to be getting out of this?" It was just sadness, sadness, sadness, and then it's over

This movie is only good with retrospect

that joker that saved him is gypsy the crusader
Oh no 😭😭 it’s a good thing that Arthur jumped out of the car then 😂😂
