How I Paint Cornhole Boards

- It's been a long time coming and it's finally here. This is my method for painting cornhole boards to get a crisp, clean look! A laser has many capabilities and this is one of them!
We previously used a vinyl stencil cutter (Cricut) for making our stencils. Jamie was the pro at that so I can't really add a whole lot of value on that topic.
Look at your design, break down the layers, and plan ahead! Makes painting faster, cleaner and more enjoyable.

Very nice, never thought about layering and painting that way
Nice laser usage. Simple and direct.
Thanks for another great video, I been following your first construction video and have built 100's of boards[$$] that way and sold all of them, still from time to time have trouble with my hand-held router for the hole, I kind of flow back and forth between the hole saw and router, As far as the designs I'm an Airbrush Artist and pretty much freehand all my Artwork I put on the boards, these you did here are sweet, I also like to use stencils from time to time, time is money, lol, I wish I could post some of them on here for you to see ,anyway got to give you the props for helping me along the way ,Thanks so very much ,have a Blessed Holiday season
Well done project and video! Thanks

@@LazyLabAcres hello! I am in my 50’s, still working full time as my husband is disabled (some what functional). They keep cutting his SS, so I am looking for something we can do to supplement our income. I /we are going to try and learn, but how many times do you sand to make it smooth, once you are done painting, do you sand in between sealing? If so how many times and what grid, please. Thank you!
Nice job. For my personal ones I will be going with stainless hardware.
I have to look into getting a cricket.
That's amazing
Thanks for watching!
Love this laser ! Just looked them up pretty cool, and not terribly expensive. Are you guys located near Greenville? Keep up the good work !
Lots of golden nuggets of info, thanks! What type of brush do you use for the top coat?
Just a quick question what size green tape do you use for the cornhole boards
What settings are using for your laser to just cut the tape and not leave any burn marks in the wood?
Nicely done...
Hi, thanks for the video. Do you put polyacrylic on the sides and legs as well?
Fantastic! Anyone know what kind of brush/sponge that is? Link for it?
Which laser model did you get?
Nice Work
How much do you charge for a complete set of boards !
What do u on average charge per set?
What do you charge for a set of boards like those?
How do you get the perfect lines with the stain pattern? Are you just taping it off? I’d love these boards with Yosef like you have on one and the other one with App State logo. Would be sick.
Yup just tape!
How much do you sell them for
Hello
So How much do you charge
Is your wood shop in a storage unit??? How did you get power run to the unit?
I have a shop tour video about that!
Where are you located? Have some collaborative ideas
From the information I've acquired, Oramask contains pvc and is not laser safe.
How much do you sell your boards for?
No less than $300
What about the bags you throw , any info where to get them or make them ?
Cheapest to make your own. But…if you want to splurge - www.playcornhole.org/products/navy-blue-all-weather-cornhole-bags
Why did you stop making cornhole boards??
I was wondering too. Maybe business slowed down after he taught the entire Internet how to make them?
I don't enjoy making them that much so I'd prefer to make other things. I still take a commission from time to time on them whenever I'm feeling it
LOL.
As far as the design is concerned; looks a lot like a box of Marlboro to me.
Exactly what u thought. Looks good though
Would u make a Canada flag pattern ?
looks like someone is a Mountaineer, you must be in my neck of the woods
