      @@roupen1000 I ordered the 2023 in October and the delay was so long that I now have the 2024 - had to wait seven months - so glad I had to wait. I think they are coming in faster now. I got mine in Kelowna and saw lots on their lot - not sure if they were all presold.

    I bought a 2024 Crosstrek Sport. I love the car. Unfortunately no heated steering wheel available in the U.S. I don’t understand why but I’m sure Subaru has its reasons.

    The lighter coloured headliner definitely brightens up the car inside. Tomtom navigation is great. I wish I had that in my Crosstrek although Apple CarPlay works well too.

    Received my Limited OFFSHORE BLUE METALLIC 2 days ago. Just love it. The Harman Kardon is Amazing. Don't forget the little feature for back-up Camera.... Windshield washer to keep it clean ! Great addition !

    This is an awesome car Subaru Crosstrek this is my third time watching a review of this car however I liked most of this car infotainment system and driver focus mitigation system which is great overall this car looks upscale

      Bought a 24 Crosstrek Sport. Great car. Quiet ,rides nice and definitely feels upscale. Absolutely no econobox here.

    I like the new looks a lot. The only problem with this trim is here in the states it is $34k. I can get a sport time Forester for that amount or a CRV which are both better vehicles and bigger.

    • @DanielKwetny
      @DanielKwetny  ปีที่แล้ว

      You are correct. It’s about the same as a Forester Sport in Canada as well. That’s because the Forester is still a 2023 model. Huge value right now in Foresters.. 🚙🚙🚙

    • @arkos55
      @arkos55 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Forester is only a better car if you like it’s frumpy looks and want the extra space. It’s not really a better car in and of itself. Just a bit bigger and a lot uglier.

    Is the model sale in Canada is built in Japan ?

    • @nelsoncespedes1629
      @nelsoncespedes1629 ปีที่แล้ว

      Isn't it built in the US?

    • @DanielKwetny
      @DanielKwetny  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! All units destined to Canada are made in Japan. For units destined to US, the 2.5L variant (onyx and limited) will be made in the US - Indiana

    • @nelsoncespedes1629
      @nelsoncespedes1629 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DanielKwetny ...no onyx in the US

    How long does it take to get delivery from order? In Canada of course.

    • @DanielKwetny
      @DanielKwetny  ปีที่แล้ว

      2-3 months at the moment. With some dealers it can take up to 5 months.

    • @Veeetz
      @Veeetz ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DanielKwetny 2-3 months is great, but you're in BC while I'm in ON, so I hope its the same here. Would you know?
      Also, initially I thought of ordering the Onyx, but since Subaru announced the Wilderness trim, I've been waiting on the daily checking the website for when they add that trim with details, because if the price is not that much more than the Onyx I might just get that, but that no doubt will be likely late summer/early spring :(

    Does anyone know if the limited trims gas cap locks?

    • @DanielKwetny
      @DanielKwetny  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it does. Once the vehicle is locked (using the fob, or door handle), the gas cap locks. When the vehicle is unlocked, so it the gas cap.

    MSRP? Why didn't they put vents for the back seat like every other SUV?

    • @DanielKwetny
      @DanielKwetny  ปีที่แล้ว

      They are $40,000 CAD before provincial and federal tax.
      It would've been good to include the rear vents, you're right. However there are vents underneath the front seats, which blow air to the back.
      Thanks for watching!

    According to the Subaru dealership in Austin, TX, the gray leather option available in the states is a much darker gray than what is shown here. The U.S Subaru website shows this darker color also.

    • @DanielKwetny
      @DanielKwetny  ปีที่แล้ว

      Subaru calls this leather "Black", although I agree it looks dark grey. It was a very sunny day so it looks even brighter in real life. From what I can see, I think it's the same colour as the US model. However I havn't compared both in person, so hard to say. I strongly think it's the same.
      Thanks for watching!

    • @arkos55
      @arkos55 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s exactly the same as the US grey. I have it.

    Nice review. Q. Can a US resident purchase this car from a Canadian dealer? Would there be any warranty problems? (There are features only available on the Canadian model, plus construction in Japan). Thank you.

    • @DanielKwetny
      @DanielKwetny  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it can be done. You will need to register the vehicle in Canada. Then, you would drive it down and register with the DMV. Warranty is probably only going to work in Canada.. If there's a warranty issue you would likely need to drive up.. Cheers

    Looking to trade my 2018 Limited in. Explored one of these 2024s in person today and I have to say I'm not thrilled with the look and materials compared to mine. Subaru went way cheap on the plastics and keep adding more plastic cladding to the outside. I'm assuming this is to cut down on the total surface area to paint as plastics are obviously cheaper. A few features are nice like they finally brought electronic parking brake to the US and there's more features on the infotainment. However, I'm not a fan of the vertical style infotainment systems in vehicles these days. Speaking of the Harman infotainment system in the Limited, the navigation is about useless unless you like taking the long way, occasionally going to the wrong address or can't find an address because the map is out of date. There's literally no point in onboard navigation these days other than a backup because Carplay and Andriod auto provide superior navigation. There are also annoying quirks of the system that don't seem to be addressed still like the system auto-playing when the car is powered up. They need to at least make it an option instead of getting a blast of music because you didn't hold the power button down for 5 seconds before turning off the car last time. Also, I refuse to use Carplay because there's a loss in sound fidelity compared to Bluetooth or USB without Carplay. It sounds like the music is more "flat" and I suspect it's because there's some conversion process that Harman applies to Carplay that decreases bitrate. I've replicated this on several dealer vehicles so it's not just mine. It's a subtle loss in fidelity, but enough to keep me from enjoying the great sound system the Limited has.

    If you are ok with high oil consumption and head gasket failures, great car.

    • @DanielKwetny
      @DanielKwetny  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There’s evidence of some at 200k miles going strong with original head gaskets. Subaru has come a long way since mid 2000’s
