Damn....after listening to several of Jesse's messages about forgiving parents, a couple days ago I told my father that I loved him for the first time - in 30years, all my life! My life literally changed since then, weird, but true. Thanks Jesse

It seems to be a pattern brought about by ignorance and immaturity. I lived most of my life resenting my parents for not supporting me emotionally. As I grew older and experienced life on my own, I began to understand how damaged, ignorant and immature my parents were when I was born. It was only then that I forgave them because they were too young to know as I was too young to know at their age. It is hard to give children love and attention while in an unstable economy and no marketable skills. The financial burden was great on my father and the motherly caring was just as heavy on mom. Three infants that required constant feeding, dirty dippers, etc. I now understand. I feel blessed that I did not fathered any children; it was not that way with my sister or brother. I saw their suffering because they followed the herd, without really analyzing their choices.

@@javiermgtaoism5702kids have nothing to do. You still are not awake and I say this with love. As Jordan Peterson said: pick your cross and carry it. In your case you picked the no kids cross but it will have bad impact on you later in life. People think they can game life. You don't run from poison. The only benefit you have is that you can chose what you will drink. I say that to say this: last year wife decided that she doesn't want a relationship anymore. While I disagree with her choice for putting our kids in that situation I moved on. I was bad for a while. But ever since I embraced the shit I had to deal with: debt, two kids(5 and 4) 3 day a week job, full time university, I haven't seen my family in years and I also had no place to live after divorce. With that being said, one year and exactly 3 months after divorce I managed to pay off my debt, my Uny has only A' so far, job I make progress inside the company, my kids are amazing and I have women who want to marry me but I prefer to stay single. For the first time in my life I don't look at women to fill what I was missing because now I live as a man. I picked my sacrifice and I care it with pride and man how things change when u do that. What you despised once now became a reason to wake up in the morning. All the best.

I love how he combines religion and a philosophical point of view. That's why religion is constantly being attacked because religion attached importance to the father and family unit, but feminists don't seem to like that. Another part that really touched me is when he said there are forces working for evil without knowing it. The main stream feminists, SJWs etc are pushing evil knowingly or unknowingly, and religion calls it out which is why they do away with religion

Im not a christian, never was raised to be a christian, i've been taught christian values, but never taught how or why to believe in the existents of god, it seems to be impossible for me. I smoke pot every weekend, but more as a ritual combined with meditation and a way for me to let go of whatever anger i've collected throughout that week, and to look at things from diffrent and more accepting perspective. I don't drink alcohol or use hard drugs, I did in the past and I have finally realized these substances don't do me any good, only helped me escape my self and my anger towards my self, others and society. Even though I might not been convinced in god, even though I smoke pot regularly, I still get so much out of these speeches. The whole hate/love thing has really helped me and had a huge impact on my daily life, I can now much more often see through other peoples anger and don't stick to it, I've learned to let go of my own anger towards others and myself, which has given me a much more peaceful state of mind in my daily life. I've learned to forgive my parents and accepted them for what they are, how they've raised me and to understand why they sometimes react through hate and not love and how it's not their fault. So even though my life don't live up to everything that Jesse think is best for the individual, he's really helped me opening my eyes and to have a better quality of life. Im forever thankful and I love you Jesse. - 21, Denmark

I’m stating this not to argue but because it is so. In the Gospels before Jesus died it says when we forgive others of their trespasses then your Heavenly Father will forgive you of your trespasses. But after His resurrection the epistles say forgiving one another EVEN AS GOD FOR CHRIST SAKE HAS (past tense) FORGIVEN YOU (Ephesians 4:32). So I don’t forgive to be forgiven I forgive others because I have been forgiven. Forgiveness is a gift given by God through Christ.
