It breaks my heart to see how absent fathers affect their son's self-esteem 😢 It applies to girls too and how they choose a mate later in life. So sad that this combo of absent father and angry mother is so prevalent. Thank you Jesse for trying to bring the family back together in America! We have work to do to repair this sick culture. I watch your show and see you offend people sometimes, but your work is good and I see your heart is well-placed 😀

Thank goodness for strong men! When I met my husband I couldn’t believe how much he didn’t care about what people think! As a woman I am a lot about feelings and relationship and reciprocity. He has really taught me that my world won’t crumble if I’m in conflict with someone and I’ve certainly taught him the value of having a little softer touch with people to handle conflict. HOWEVER! He is the one to manage and lead through the hard things in life - the tip of the spear.

Just Me Just watching Chadwick Moore on Tucker C. - he said that it looked like the progressives, with their volatile and incendiary rhetoric, are hankering for a civil war, which would be very ill advised as we have all the guns as well as the market on the worlds most valuable resource which is toxic masculinity.

Heidi B. Absolutely true, but why do you think everyone is trying so damn hard to take away those guns? And why do you think those same people are so damn busy emasculating men to great success? Men of today have 40% less testosterone in their system than men in the 80's did.

In our country there is so much focus on girls, gays, and transgenders now that young men are being forgotten in our society. Alot of people do not seem to care how they feel or what they are going through. Having more men in the family and in kids lives will fix alot of problems we have in our families.

The no father angry mother combo is such a bad recipe, it removes ones ability to look ahead and to move with meaning. My father when I was growing up hid from society, went to work and then came home from work, went straight to his room and only came out for dinner. I in turn hid myself in videogames, and now I have no life meaning. Here’s to turning that around! Good luck to all the others trying to better themselves out there, it’s not easy but it’s worth it.

This was heartbreaking. When Mr. Peterson asked the young man what a man feels like and he responded "confident" after he just said he doesn't always feel like a man, you could see the pain in his eyes when he speaks. He wants to be a good man, but doesn't have a good example to follow because Dad wasn't there to show him and help build on what's inside him from a young age. I think it's important that mothers do feminine things with their daughters and help them to learn traditional female roles so that they have the skills when they are older and that Fathers should do masculine things with their sons and help them to learn traditional male roles so that they have the skills when they are older. I think when a child misses out on these things, they start to become insecure and don't know who they are when they grow up, so they are constantly searching for the answer and affirmation that they are a good man/woman. You should definitely be in touch with your opposite gender side and spend time with the parent of the opposite sex, but since men and women are different, you can't learn it all from one side. A child needs both parents in order to achieve a healthy balance of masculine and feminine within their own personalities. They must learn to be a man or a woman so that when they have their own family, they will have the ability to balance out their partner and fill in all of the empty spaces. Dad is strong, confident, and thinks critically, Mom is nurturing, humble, and creative. Together they make a phenomenal team and can raise their child to have some of their qualities.

These poor guys, a woman wants a strong man a little emotional but not to the world. A man that can provide and to have faithfulness and love in his heart a man to stand up to the plate. A man that is confident but geared towards jobs and a relationship. A man that gives and cares about his family. The rest is a bonus. We want a hard working man. A protector but not an abuser.
These men are so beautiful but so lost. I hope they find there way in this world in the best most honest way.

This notion that one must leave home once they turn 18 or 21, etc is a very secular one. In the Bible there is nothing that tells us we must leave our home. In fact, most stayed with their parents and extended families.

Watching these videos has really opened my eyes up. I grew up with a father, and mother. my father was always hard on me, and I always said he was not that great of a dad, there was times he was good, but when I got older I found him to be very judgmental, and demanding. now seeing these 2 guys grow up without a farther and how they feel makes me really look at myself and my life and the fact that I had a father even though he was not the best, made me strive to be better, and do something with my life. I do see this world is full of boys, and not men. men are hard to come by. In my eyes a man is someone who provides for his family, he is the rock of the family. when times are hard he is the one that steps up to the plate. small things or issues are not suppose to rattle you, or get you down. a men tackles his problems and gets them resolved. There is a lot of problems in this world with kids growing up and the parents they have in their life. we have broken adults having kids, and then their kids grow up even more broken than them. Or if your lucky their child grows up with some good role model in their life, and makes the needed changes in their life.

I'm sure there mothers did what they could to give them a good life. If only they could find the couse of the problem and put a plan to change it. I know it takes a lot of thinking and strength, but all you need is to be aware of who you are and what do you want for your self. I'm sure you guys are gonna be fine. I had gym teachers that were tough former marines that had us running outside in 38 degrees early in the morning, in first period gym class. I just took this for granted. Dang I'm an older side of millennial. I feel like I dodged a bullet or something. I would point these guys to Jordan Peterson to learn some things. I'm hardcore atheist so I don't buy the whole God thing, but he's spot on with adversity. Adversity makes people grow. Almost all the problems I see people have is because they give up when presented with adversity. God or no God this is a universal truth.
Regardless of the religious stuff. What this guy is doing is a good thing. Like I've always said. Christian religion tends to have great morals and you don't ignore great information regardless of whether you agree with whole thing or not. You take the best of every source of information to use.
    My persona adventure:
I paid my own way through college. I moved out as soon as I could too. I remember my mother asking me to go to college at home, lol. I was like no way I'm out. Father didn't say anything except good luck and pick a profession you enjoy doing. Packed my stuff in trash bag in an hour and left two weeks prior to enrollment in community college then transferred to main university. I got pell grant and Stafford loans to pay for school. Came out 20k in debt. Rented a room in a trailer for 150 a month.
Paid off loan in 2 years, been promoted 5 times in 8 years at my company. Graduated during 2010, so job market was rough. I took a low skill position and demonstrated my extra skills in that job and gained responsibility. Been gaining ever since.

This is pretty common any more. I hate to admit, I'm the same way. My parents got a divorce when I was in middle school and I've not been the same since then. My mom raised me more than my dad did after that. And yeah, her personality rubbed off on me. I'm too emotional. I needed my father to set an example, but instead I just wondered what it was to be a man. It's unfortunate that so many boys my age and younger have to go through this. What is interesting is how much I've been understanding myself and my parents lately just listening to Jesse. I've come to find out recently that my mom's father was actually quite bad. He became an alcoholic, would get in physical fights with his wife, shot the gun in the house, used to tell her things like,"You have an ugly smile. It's crooked and nobody likes a crooked smile.". So, I think it's fair to say she kinda resented her family in a way. And my dad's father also turned into an alcoholic and remember my dad saying that his father was an asshole too a lot of the times. So I guess both of my parents kinda resented their family in a way. Then their marriage ended up pretty much the same. My father drinks a lot, has been married three times now. I really should just forgive them, because before all of this happened...I was a lot different. If I could get back to that, I'd be okay. I know some people comment that it's bad advice, but when I first heard Jesse talk about this...I felt like he was talking to me. Wasn't this video though, but a different one.

Being a man is killing me.
Women want a real man but once you act like a real man and tell them you don’t want to be manipulated and disrespected they think your an awful person who just wants to start arguments all the time but in reality you just don’t want to tell them they’re right all the time.
Most of the time they’re the aggressors that start these arguments.

I recognize a lot of the young black mans traits in myself. Programs like this, Molyneux etc. were not around when I grew up, but they've helped me to understand the younger me and my difficulties and inner devils. Especially the part with the interaction with women and the lack of self-esteem hits home. It's easy for others to say man up, when they themselves don't have significant parts missing... Sins of our fathers (and mothers), I hope I don't pass them on to my sons.

Doesnt matter if u have both parents life is still gunna kick ur ass no matter what, just get the fuck up and keep moving forward, i didnt have a dad bc well he died, but even if he was here that doesnt change anything but the fact we have this life once and we have to make the best out of it period. I enrolled myself into workingout playing sports, took care of siblings while theres no man in the house, i looked up to men like elliot hulse, tony robbins, and many other ppl whos their lives were fucked and they turned out to be great, but even with that life still kicked me in the ass but u get up and u move foward is all about keeping moving forward.

Growing up I knew that NO woman could be alone with me for too long without giving it up, it isnt because I'm some sort of model or pimp but because I always knew women fall in love through the ears, they love hearing all the romantic stuff but even more just an honest guy who was strong and confident, I'm happily married now so i dont think that way anymore but i said that because i feel sorry for these dudes, they seem like zombies, they need to get their depressed asses into an mma gym and get their manhood back........I swear I raised 2 cousins who were just like this, 1 never wanted to work & the other one was a wannabe gangster, they're grown now but when in talking with them about serious issues they look like these 2 dudes about to break down over anything, cant stand harsh words even when keeping it real, both have daddy issues & so does my current stepson, poor little guy is has the best heart on earth but dang it if he ain't weak minded because of the desperate need of validation coming from the rejection of his father........

All you young man listen, whether your fathers were present or not, that lady you call your mama still played her role in making you the man you are today, the soft nature she gave you is a blessing, it teaches you to respect these women, respect others, what they don't tell you is that you have a beastly nature, as you grow up you figure out that a man will always be superior to a woman in so many things and a woman can be the same in so many ways, your greatest role is to make that balance, you realise that God is above you, you are above your woman and she is above your children, that makes you appreciate the fact that the woman's role tamed that beast from being destructive, it opens your eyes to 'being' present in your children's lives since you wouldn't want them to grow up the way you did, fatherless, so my man, toughen up, lift up your head and keep moving.

I was raised by my Father, Grandfather and Uncle. No women had anything at all to do with raising me. People have told me all my life that I'm a real mans man. However, I have also dealt with most of these things these guys have dealt with through my life. So, maybe it doesn't come down to a woman's ways or a woman's fault. It's just how men are, as they find themselves we go through these things...Stop blaming women for everything Jesse. I have more reason than anyone to blame women but as a man, I take responsibility for my own actions and thoughts...

The worst thing a nearsighted person can do is trying to find faults within himself cause nearsighted means you see things up close and in detail and you will find endless things that you will question. Once you have a cause you won’t focus on your faults but instead focus on how you can better yourself to achieve your cause....everything else becomes frivolous.

I'm a single mother of two sons. But their father is very much a part of their lives. Unfortunately, their father does not guide them in the right direction and teaching them to be the same man he is, which is horrid. I wish my father was still alive to guide them correctly.

Any single mother who takes responsibility for her children and raises them by herself is STRONG. Most good mothers want their children to have a good father around their children. Unfortunately, there are some men who are just sperm donors and aren't interested in being a parent. Or very controlling and abusive. I was blessed to have both parents at home and loving and never had an issue saying no or discipline if I needed it. I never saw my dad cry except once. It was when my sister died. But my dad showed us a lot of love and taught us to be independent. He used to tell us when you allow a man in your life, make sure he is there because you want him there not because you need him. And make sure he loves and follows God. If he does, he will love you the way God intended in his plan. It is a partnership with two separate roles.

If I may give anyone a tip that feels insecure, mostly for guys since I am one and I do not know how a girl would use this. I watch a tv show called Peaky Blinders where everyone wears a three piece suit. So eventually I started wearing this too. Now I wear it every day, it makes everyone look at you, but it gives you a certain feeling of proudness if you will. It makes you feel different. Wear things that will make you stand out, people will find it attractive and respect you for it. last thing, always keep your head up high so people will literally have to look "up to you". Helped me a lot in any case.
