Here is a thought...if you attach a sound file to each switch that corresponds to each model you have in the transmitter...then when you switch airplanes and thus probably switch locations that have different functions...It's easy to reacquaint yourself with the transmitter setup for different models. As for disturbing your fellow modelers. There is a volume control on the transmitter and also earbud outlet.
Harry, is there a limit to the number of sound files I can have available in the Audio folder in the DS16G2? I have added files from rc-thoughts to the Audio folder and they dont show up when I try to use them for Flight Mode switching on my heli.
The problem is the length of the file name, which must be no more than 8 characters. If it is more than 8 it just does not appear in the selection list. There did not used to be this limit, it came on a recent software update because Jeti had to use different processors than the original design (I suspect the pandemic chip shortage caused problems getting the original processors) and some processors forced the character limit.
Hi harry i'm new to jeti and i need help with the servo out mapping, i know how to get to it but how do i rename and add two extra servos for ailerons when i started building the model type it only offered a plane with two ailerons which is what i have but each wing has two servos and the servo mapping isn't letting me assign 2 more servos which i want to label aileron 3 and 4 so how would i do that?
Hi Harry Just hopping in here to ask a question relating to ‘Sounds On Event' Is the system limited to 20 'sounds on event?’ I have reached 20 and can’t seem to add more. Why do I need so many? Is there a more elegant way to do what I want??? I have a 3D capable model with aileron, elevator and rudder all on high, medium and low rates on three separate three position switches (with ‘sounds on event’ as normal to let me know what each control surface is set at). I have also set it up on a single switch to hop between a 3D (very high rates) flight mode on all surfaces, and normal flight mode where I can switch between rates on each surface as I see fit. In 3D mode all rates are set at high regardless of the rate switch positions. In order to avoid confusion (ha ha) I want to make the transmitter tell me "High", "Medium" and “Low" for each surface when in 'Normal' mode depending on switch positions and to say “High” for all switch positions (x9) when in 3D mode. To do this I’ve created a Logical Switch for each possible condition (that's 3 x 3 position switches in 2 separate flight modes = 18 options) and used the logical switches in the Sounds on Event menu. I do however seem to have run out of Events at 20 (I have others for things like throttle cut). Is there a more elegant and clever way to achieve my goal?? In Hope Thanks Nigel
There is indeed a limit, for some Tx it is 20. Some Tx can buy an additional 10 sounds on event. You could simply not have a sound on event in 3D mode, the silence when you move the switch would tell you that you are in 3D high mode - unless you have moved the wrong switch of course!
@@cotswoldpilot Thanks Harry. I have a ds-16. Do you know which models can be expanded to 30 sounds on event and how you go about doing it? Is it through Jeti Studio (which I have and use regularly for firmware updates). Clearly its only a 'nice to have' but I always see this type of thing as a challenge. I was hoping there was a clever way to achieve it!
@@roberthanson9843 yes you can do that, not sure what the maximum size is, ask Jeti. Good upgrade is to use a Class 10 card, that is faster than the card they fit or used to fit, which makes it quicker loading model memories

You cannot rename the channels. Either assign extra channels to ail1 and ail2, or choose the 4 aileron wing
Where did you find the movie quotes that you had?

Is the system limited to 20 'sounds on event?’
I have reached 20 and can’t seem to add more.

@@nigelcastle9282 you cannot add to an original 16.
@@cotswoldpilot Never mind.. I'll just have top use common sense and memory - oh dear! -
Where can I download audio? Gear down / Gear up and ……? Thx 👍
Harry I am sure I saw in one of your videos increasing the memory in a DS-16, I am afraid it is lost to me what video it i in? Thanks
I am not aware of such a thing
Well I stated that poorly. It was about putting a larger sd card in the DS-16

@@cotswoldpilot One last question for today. When setting up servos on a biplane how does the servo order work out?
