I just bought a DS-16 G2 yesterday! Will have my hands on it next week! Came across your vids and, like others, Thank God! Looking forward to going through your vids! Once again, thank you!
Thank God I have found your site. Thank you so much!!!! I have had my DC24 for almost 2 years. I have found just enough to fly by trial and error “ blind leading the blind”. Like most old people I have been afraid to poke around for fear of screwing something up. You have opened up this expensive device for me to really enjoy. I started flying RC in the late 50’s. I fly giant scale now. Your friendly style and slow speed is wonderful. Rick, Texas USA
I have to say thankyou Harry, as a newcomer to the Jeti world I thought I would ease in gently by starting with a very simple 2 channel model and work up from there, I immediately encountered an issue that would have driven me insane had I not been studying its use with these videos, I bought this system with a bunch of recievers from my son, so I bound a rex3 and started what I thought was going to be a simple job, low and behold the channel two would show up in all the transmitter displays to be working as you would expect, but no matter how I plugged in the servos it did not have channel two outputting at the servo, I did exactly as you suggest, factory reset reciever and boom, it's working perfectly, so I now have a new first process in setting up radio, Again thankyou for your wonderful style of information delivery
Harry I have flown models of and on since 1953. I stopped flying RC 1990 and flew a full size Super Decathlon until I sold it 3 years ago. Then I moved and tried to sell the models I still had. Decided to start flying again and bought a Spektrum. Then I found Jeti! Absolutely great radio but it was a nightmare for a while getting oriented. I am now pretty good at programming but I just discovered your videos and have realized I am not as smart as I thought I was. Keep up the great work your presentations are excellent and easy to follow. You should start a tip jar. Yes I realize that is not in the usual spirit of modelers and I will also help anyone when I can. But having said that your videos are nvaluable to new comers to Jeti as well as the Jeti community in general.
Very kind of you to say so Robert. A few people have asked if they can pay me for lessons or to solve particular programming puzzles, but I am quite happy to carry on in the spirit of helping fellow model fliers at the airfield.
Thanks Harry, Just bought Jeti at Weston Park. Love your legal bits, but the lads at Jeti highly recommend watching your videos, say best place to learn how to use it. So thank you again as will be watching your videos probably thousands of times.
Well, how lucky am I ? For years I relied on Harrys great MPX help and I have just moved to Jeti and to my surprise here you are helping us Jeti new owners ! Great news and thanks for all your input Harry.
Factory reset. I asked Jeti since I just got a used DS-16 :-) This is the reply from Jeti: "delete all files from the CONFIG, LOG, MODEL folders (of course, make a backup on your PC first). Then update the transmitter by Jeti Studio. After the update, calibrate the sticks and potentiometers (menu/system/view inputs/F1=calib)."
Harry your videos are great!!! Thank you to collaborate with Jeti community . as a suggestion, you could inform in the description, the version of the system you are running, because after a few months new versions with news functions or modified functions will come.
Shoot, I would like to ask Harry a question or two. Love the guy too!!! However, I am stumped on a couple old Jeti issues. I wish there was a work around on the "Must update CB200...". Totally screwed when I'm out, far away, at an event, and the Jeti pulls this!!!
Harry, your terrific videos on programming JETI have changed my life, BTW. OMG, I'm sooooo happy to have your fine reference videos to study! I can't thank you enough. I love the radio, but oh man, there are certainly some quirks to be able to program it correctly and keep up with the silly thing. Calling for support was a real drag too (nuff said). This issue of demanding the "...CB 200 be updated .." has really caused me some grief when I'm far away from my Internet, laptop, and of course the special cable. It has caught me off guard more than once and I hate that! I find myself questioning the radio system anymore, especially when I'm all assembled, fuel loaded, smoke oil loaded, and it won't link because of the update demand! Screwed!!! Defuel, desmoke, take it all apart and just put the plane back in the trailer!😢 Dang!
Harry, I would love to send JETI a comment regarding the "...MUST UPDATE CB200..." issue I've just experienced (at the most inconvenient time, while away at an event). I mean, it would be nice if JETI would at least provide a "work-around" if you're caught like this, out at the field without a laptop, connecting cable, and Internet! There was nothing I could do but to pack up the model for another day 🤷🏼♂️ Have you an address for which I might be able to chime in and provide JETI this feedback directly? I love to do so, with all due respect, of course I think there is room for improvement on this issue 👍🏼 Of course, non-users at the time I was struggling to link up, out at the field, suggested I get away from JETI and go to a different radio system! I don't really agree in handling this issue by abandoning the system, but I would appreciate seeing a "work-around feature", for sure. For what it's worth....
Jeti DS 24 II. Have a switch for Gear . Want to use Rudder Trim for trimming rudder in flight. However with Gear switch Down, want to use the Rudder Trim to trim the nosewheel steering which is on a separate channel and servo. How do I go about it ? Your inputs appreciated.
yes but - when you switch between them the trim on the disabled one goes to 0%. Not really a problem for the nose steering but means when you switch gear down the rudder trim goes to zero, it comes back to the trimmed value when you put gear up. On jets and edf I take the view that rudder trimming is never required and put the trim permanently onto nose steering. If you need both then one of them will have to be on a separate control used as a trimmer such as the buttons on the back or a rotary P control.
Dear Harry first of all i want to thank you for your great videos. they are very instructive and well explained. i am also a recent owner of a dc16II. But where I have always had problems is in which menu item you actually set what. Or does it not matter where you program what, the main thing is that it works? Probably not:) I would be super grateful if you could make a video about the basic rules of the different menus in terms of when to take dual rate, when functioncurve, etc.. Or do you already have one and I can't find it? Thanks a lot for your help. Kind regards Tobi
I intend to buy a Jeti DS16 II NG. My friend has one and I was trying to program a mix on his radio but just couldn't get it. My delta has twin rudders with elevons. Each on a dedicated servo. on a flying turn I want a rudder-aileron mix. However I want the inner rudder on the turn to deflect more than the outer one ( to increase drag on that side and help the turn). During landing, as an airbrake, I want both rudders to deflect outward. Was told that Jeti can do everything. Please help.
Hi Sir, is Japanese language by default exist in the Jeti system? In your video you said you already deleted other languages so I cannot figure out. Thank you!
I dunno, call me crazy but when I first saw this brand name, JETI, I thought the name a play on the starwars JEDI, No? So when Harry says Jet(eee), I'm thinking Jet(Eye)....

Updating wirelessly from the Tx ought to be high on Jeti's list but I have no knowledge about what they are working on

@@larrylaughlin6767 the radio should still work. The update being out of date should only prevent you getting into its settings in Device Explorer.

Hi Harry, what a fantastic series! I solved my initial problem in the second episode already; the sticks were not calibrated in the factory.
i'm not sure if worth swapping DC-16 to DC-12 11
any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello Anindya, it can all be done, I have made a video for you - th-cam.com/video/q5C_p_iv-To/w-d-xo.html
Will going to 50Hz be useful you had a lot of telemetry data coming back from the receiver?
THANKS ALOT FROM DENMARK
Ace video's Harry, what label printer do you use to make your tx labels please?
Thanks again, keep up the great videos!
They are cut from aluminium duct tape, lettering from Letraset rub downs
hello how do dc supply charge and have transmitter turned on at the same time when I try to do that mine shut off i have a DS 24
I guess you are in the USA. Your FCA refused certification if it was charging whilst switched on so you get a modified version that cannot
Hi Sir, is Japanese language by default exist in the Jeti system? In your video you said you already deleted other languages so I cannot figure out. Thank you!
I think that Japanese is not included
Jeti says go with what you say.
Is it possible to do a factory reset on a DS14 ?
No, that option is not in Jeti transmitter software
I dunno, call me crazy but when I first saw this brand name, JETI, I thought the name a play on the starwars JEDI, No?
So when Harry says Jet(eee), I'm thinking Jet(Eye)....
Thank you, can you delete a model that’s been entered
Yes, go to select model, highlight the one you want and press the delete button. Cannot delete the model that is currently selected.
Nice work !
