  • Dozens of protesters march to the Royal Thai Police HQ in Bangkok, throwing paint at the entrance in a call to end the use of excessive force against them and demanding Premier Prayut Chan-O-Cha resign over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic. The riot police retaliate by firing water cannon at the crowd and arresting a couple of protesters. Anti-government rallies held in the past three days have been dispersed using rubber bullets, tear gas, and water cannon.

What happens when an imperial center is over-stretched across its global quisling states and is waging too many wars?
Afghanistan happens. It is a wake up call for the rest of the world being occupied by the U.S military that, they are capable of throwing the US military out because they outnumber the US stationed personnela.
We can examine in this perspective the real significance of US withdrawal from Afghanistan. Though it is fun and easy to compare Afghanistan's humiliation of US to the Franco-British humiliation at Suez in 1956 and to American humiliation in Saigon, 1975, and even to the French humiliation at Dien Bien Phu in 1954, these comparisons miss a more portentous significance for today's longevity of the empire--that, as Mao said, US military bases are bound to become "chains around [the Americans'] neck".
Let me explain: in Afghanistan, US had 700-750 military bases--400 under their direct control and 300 under their quisling Kabul govt's, 300,000 NATO-trained-troop strong.
By 2021 this was the tally of forces before the Taliban's victory on 15 August:
    US troops 2500
    Afghan troops 300,000
    Taliban 60,000
What does this tally tell us? That 60,000 troops without an air force defeated 325,000 troops with state-of-the--arts military equipment and ordnance. It also tells us that US/NATO training and equipping of the 300,00 Afghan troops were insufficient to exact a proxy victory for the US. Perhaps because of morale? Perhaps lowered by consciousness of a quisling unjust cause? Be that as it may we come to military bases are "a chain on their neck" which means insufficient American direct forces to defeat a national resistance.
We can now better understand the portentous significance of Afghanistan' seizure of sovereignty, wrested from the forces of the occupying imperialists and their quisling local armies.
The US military bases are all globally too vulnerable to an outbreak of national resistance. Moreover, depending on local proxy armies to put down a national resistance has been a dodgy and losing risk in Korea, Vietnam, to cite only the exemplary cases.
But why doesn't Washington improve its chances to contain resistance? Simply put--not enough troops. But wasn't Vietnam bursting with US troops/ Ah, yes! But that was the drafted army--and that caused the US population to rise up against the war. Which then created the scrappy volunteer US army, made up of under-privileged young people looking for employment.
Whichever way one looks at the picture of US imperialism, we see that it's strapped for sufficient numbers to sustain and defend the empire against resistance by direct military forces.
Here's a list of US Military abroad: do you see how overstretched it is and at the same time thin in troops against massive national resistance to kick them out?
    Japan 53,938
    Germany 35,486
    S. Korea 26,356
    Italy 12,535
    UK 9515
    Bahrain 4008
    Spain 3256
    Turkey 1808
    Saudi Arabia 1520
    Belgium 1170
    Kuwait 1146
    Netherlands 433
    Greece 405
Then, there are US military bases in African states and Central and South America .. .
Taiwan: 30,000 (part of US Pacific Command, US Taiwan Defense, HSA Compound Yuanshan, Taipei)
In addition, US CIA Regime Change organisation National Endowment for Democracy is funding protests in Thailand, Malaysia and Myanmar, deatabilizing Asia. These traitors and collaborators will suffer the same fate as the Afghan forces and fake puppet Leader installed by US Soros Rothchild Zionist empire.
