    Another thing for effects control worth looking into may be the Boss ES8 or Electron Harmonix Super Switcher. Both are the pedal board version of the rackmount effects switchers used for rack systems and all its loops are true bypass

    My board is kind of similar to yours.
    I have my boss tuner- DigiTech Drop-NS2- MXR Bass Compressor- Tech21 SansAmp- ODB-3, SourceAudio AfterShock, and then GEB-7

    Great video, Dylan!
    I'd highly recommend having a Digitech Drop and perhaps some sort of bass chorus (Ampeg Liquifier was pretty cool when I had one).
    Also, failing that, it's ya boi, BASS WHAMMY.

    How about a Line 6 M9 in that space.... would cover a lot of bases... synth , filters, pitch, modulations.

    Great pedal choice! Loving my DG X7. Would you mind making a demo of your dirty and clean sounds?

      Absolutely, I just wanted to spend some time with the band and get it properly dialled in before I went there.

    Agreed a hx stomp would fit nicely and cover most new situational things

    Give us a listening!
    Recommendation: KMA Tyler Splitter. To mix the low end of your clean signal into your dirty one?

      It's coming, just not sure when and I'd rather make a decent video than rush something. We're very much using the time stuck inside to work on studio stuff rather than rehearsing with our live rigs so it hasn't left me much time to get used to this setup yet.

    Awesome board. Can you go through how you set up your Torpedo pedal? I have tried to use mine for bass, found it a bit noisy and went back to my sansamp.

      I actually got rid of most of this board a while ago. I do remember messing with the CAB pretty constantly and always making little improvements but never being totally happy with it. I'm currently using a Quad Cortex as my rig, but I haven't really bothered posting a video about it because YT is saturated in QC content + we've had so little gigging opportunities over covid for me to really figure out whether it's working well for me.

    Looks like a good space for an HX stomp.

      Thought about it, but I'm not sure I'd get enough use out of it to justify burning that much more cash on this board.

      @@dylanmalliaaudio I think it would replace some things that are already there (you could load the stuff from the Two Notes into the Stomp and get rid of the tuner). The effects are pretty rad on the HX devices. The B7K simulation is also quite nice (called "Obsidian 7000", obviously). So mostly you would replace pretty expensive and excellent stuff with more expensive stuff. If you like your sound and do not want to implement more FX-stuff or add more splitting complexity, the Stomp might be too much!
      (I got one as backup and for commuting/mobile jamming. It's great and basically the size of a large pedal. I love it, but it really _is_ a lot of money.)

      @the3-dkiller1 I don't think it has enough space to do the parallel compression style of distortion, does it?

    What tuning do you guys play in and what strings do you use? Be interested to work out my own bass pedalboard, we play in Drop C but possibly going down to drop A# and working out from there 🙌🏻

    • @dylanmalliaaudio
      @dylanmalliaaudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      E0, A E A D - I'm currently trying Newtone strings, based off the Kalium guide that Dingwall have on their website for their multiscale spec. You can find it pretty quick googling. Shouldn't need anywhere near as thick strings for A# or similar, once you go below G is where you're gonna start having an awful time on that lowest string.

    Hi Dylan, I have a question. Do you have the tuner set to Standard or some other mode?

    • @dylanmalliaaudio
      @dylanmalliaaudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      Woah, this is a late reply - sorry. Just standard for me, never felt compelled to explore the other stuff.

    Hey Dylan, how did you power the GLXD?

    • @dylanmalliaaudio
      @dylanmalliaaudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Everything I use is powered by the Cioks DC7 - it has enough current and flexibility to do pretty much anything (within reason). I'm still using it on my current board to power a Quad Cortex, the GLXD and tuner.
