I bought my heat gun from Harbor Freight for $9.99 a coupleof years ago. It is Red and Black, can't remember the brand. It works perfectly. We use it every week at work. Amazing!
Just returned this exact 1500W Warrior model yesterday. Purchased Jan 2, 2024 failed Jan 26, 2024.The cord came loose internally at the heat gun connection. Being somewhat stubborn, found that the unit would run when wiggled. So, after a few wiggle restarts.... the cord connection sparked and singed my thumb and forefinger. Ooow. No UL tested marking on the packaging.

Your hairdryer would not fully seal the connectors he’s using in this video. Especially if there’s a dab of solder in them.
