You're my favorite content creator I didn't really grow up around any adults who used tools and my parents never really maintenanced anything themselves. Now as an adult I'm wanting to do things myself but I'm finding that I know nothing about how to do things on my own. I can't afford to hire someone to do things for me so I've been so overwhelmed with how ignorant I am to repair and maintenance and how things function. Your channel has helped me not feel so hopless I'm always learning things from you and smiling at your commentary. I'm so grateful for your videos, thank you 🙏

Good tips Tito. I have a similar Harbor Freight heat gun, but I often forget I have it. My bad. But I just used it the other day to remove a label. I hate Home Depot bar code labels on their hardwoods, but heat gun works good on them.

    Hi Brian. Great video.
Something I have found with my heat gun is it helps stuck bolts to combine the heat with penetrating oil or spray.
Also, if you know that a bolt is set with thread locker, heat can help soften the lock-tite. Then apply firm and steady pressure with the correct tool. It has worked for me every time.
Please keep the great content coming. 👍

While there is no real substitute for a full size heat gun (and I have a couple of differently-sized units for home use) I find in my space-limited RV toolkit that I prefer a butane-powered "heat tool". It can be used as a small heat gun (and actually works better for small wire heatshrink) and it has soldering tips. There are a number of such devices available; I personally have a Portasol Super Pro.

It has some uses for spray painting or applying body filler such as warming up the surface and drying it in cold conditions before applying the paint/filler. Also, if you spray clear coat in humid conditions it can dry in a cloudy state which can be rectified by blowing over the area with a heat gun the next day before it is fully cured.

Will it melt the paint off on an exotic car? I want to to take off the Viper logo on my car. I assume use a low heat.

You'll just have to test it before you go full strength.

Whenever I needed a corkscrew where there were none I used a lighter to open my wine bottles 😂
I think the heat gun would be more sufficient for that too ❤
