@@atypical1000It’s pretty insensitive of you to get so worked up over a reactor, reacting to a song😂. Everyone chooses to experience music in their own way. Just be happy this music is still being pushed to new audiences!!

A reaction video is for people to listen to who love the song and just want to experience the vicarious feeling of someone listening to it for the first time. The reactor doesn't have to say a word in the reaction for all most people care. They just want to look at them absorbing the music while the audience absorbs them as they do so and with the essential risk always present in the experience that they may not like it as much as you. But when they do actually like it and show it in subtle ways as if they were alone in a room listening to it for the first time, it can be a very, very powerful thing. It is an profoundly empathic event. When, however the person keeps reaching for the stop button, it translates into someone who really isn't allowing themselves to be sucked into the music and is more concerned about how they're performing as a reactor. Like they want to give you more "value" to their reaction when that's not at all what you're looking for. There is a lot of this on display in this reaction. I say to the reactor, don't make the reaction about yourself. Just let yourself go, open to the idea that this just could be one of the best songs they will ever hear. And if I wanted a real review of the song, I would watch a professional musician picking it apart like a cadaver on a gurney. What I want from a reactor is a very different thing.
I find an extraordinary amount of parallels between sex and music. And I've always most enjoyed sex with women who truly are loving it--not doing what they think I want. Sex is completely ruined when I get even a whiff that they're in a performance. I tell women I ask NOTHING of them when we share a bed, I'll take care of things. I just want to see them enjoy it. It's the natural little signs that they are loving what's happening to them. The same understated "oohs" chirped under their breath, the same tiny quiver of the lip and opening of the mouth with deeper and deeper gulps of air just like they would if they were alone. THAT, is killer hot. Not watching a performance of The Barber of Seville. In songs like this that have such a profound feel to them, interjecting with comments that pale in importance in the face of the experience is a constant interruption roadblocking the establishment of a connection between audience and reactor, that vicarious feel of absorption of song to reactor to audience that people long for.
I once admonished her for reviewing a style of music that at the time she was new to and didn't like. As in, what's the point? She was kind enough to answer me that it was before she had been exposed to the genre but now she loves it. It was probably around the time she did this one, so I forgive her as being a newbie at the job. This message is more for the audience than it is for her.

I was also 20 in 1971. When I got married in 1975, the beginning of this song was played instead of the wedding march! There was so much excellent music created back then! Deep Purple is another group that should be on the list of groups to react to (the song "Child in Time" is one of their masterpieces). 3 groups made up the "unholy trinity of british heavy metal. Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. But if you listen to more Zeppelin, they can't be pidgeonholed into just 1 genre. 2 other (although there are MANY others) excellent Zeppelin songs are "Baby I'm Gonna Leave You" and "Since I've Been Loving You".

I remember my high school music teacher telling us that the sign of "good" music, aside from whether or not a person likes it, is measured by how it stands the test of time. Zeppelin, as well as other rock music of that era, has definitely done so. Even now I see teenagers wearing Zeppelin tee shirts.. and I hear them listening to what we now call "classic rock". I came of age in the 80s, when pop music of the time (some of it was awful), and glam rock, was the mainstream.. and sometime in the late 80s, classic rock made a big comeback. That's when I discovered Zeppelin. Still love them

LED ZEPPELIN, "STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN". Considered by many the greatest song ever written. As for me, one of many . The 60's, 70's, and 80's into the mid 90's. Gave us the best music ever. Documented my childhood thru my Teens , and 20's, 30's, and 40's . Then the scene changed and music with it. That's neither here, or there. I am so glad to see, and hear that the youth is listening to the past what I knew was brand new song, after song. After all it was created for everyone. Great reaction my dear. More groups too explore. CREAM, BEATLES, ROLLING STONES, YES, THE WHO, PINK FLOYD, DEEP PURPLE, STEELY DAN, BOSTON, CHICAGO, SUPERTRAMP, DOOBIE BROTHERS, GRAND FUNK RAILROAD, THE ANIMALS, THE ZOMBIES, JETHRO TULL..To name a few. Those years were not all screaming guitars or vocals. I found the longer that the song was. More likely the song became an iconic Masterpiece. 🎶✌🎵

"Stairway to Heaven" is described as progressive rock,[17][18] folk rock,[19] and hard rock.[19] The song consists of three distinct sections, beginning with a quiet introduction on a finger-picked, six-string acoustic guitar and four recorders in a Renaissance music style[20] (ending at 2:15) and gradually moving into a slow electric middle section (2:16-5:33), then a long guitar solo (5:34-6:44), before the faster hard rock final section (6:45-7:45), ending with a short vocals-only epilogue. Plant sings the opening, middle, and epilogue sections in his mid-vocal range; he sings the hard rock section in his higher range, which borders on falsetto.

I was some 13 to 14 years old when I discovered Led Zeppelin, hooked at first by "Black Dog," from their untitled fourth album, which I bought and which had me totally hooked. This was a phenomenal song from that album. I then proceeded to buy their other albums up through the last one they had recorded before their drummer had tragically died and they had disbanded.

I’m 19, been listening to rap my whole life, until I found classic rock, def leopard, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, ac/dc, I could go on for awhile. But I can’t turn back to rap, it’s boring now. I have to say to the people who were teenagers in the 80s and 90s are so lucky, I wish I was born then, life just seemed so fun and not serious. now I always gotta be worried about getting shot or robbed, when my parents talk about being teens and just everything they did with their friends, listening to rock and just having fun, I can’t relate, I use to go to school thinking what if it gets shot up today, will I make it home. They also talk about the feeling of being invincible, I never felt that, just because of everything happening in the world now. I wish I had that feeling of invincibility and just having fun and living life. I’m 19 and honestly I feel like I’m old, life is so boring already due to everything that has happened recently, but classic rock has changed my life for the better. But it’s not like I can go see them in concert, I mean I can but it’ll just be older men, like you guys got to be around their age and grow up with them, and also nobody around my age I know likes this music, so it’s not like I can listen to it and have fun with my friends, they’d just turn the music off.

So glad that you discovered this epic song!
This song, released in 1971, was generally believed to be one of the greatest rock songs ever, and usually THE GREATEST. It still is.
Robert Plant is the lead singer, Jimmy Page the lead guitar, John Paul Jones on bass and the late, great John Bonham on drums.
I recommend that you also react to the live version, a video, of this song at Madison Square Garden in New York City in 1973.
(The greatest cover of this song is probably done by Heart, at the Kennedy Center Honors, honoring the 3 surviving members of Led Zeppelin.)

Oh yes, it IS rock music, and yes the lyrics in this song are powerful. It is a masterpiece. It stands out in many, many ways: philosophically deep, on the futility and shallowness of frantically chasing money and material gain. At the same time the music is beautiful, almost hypnotic, and thrilling all at once.

Irina. I turned 58 in August. I had a pretty sheltered childhood regarding pop & rock music. I started listening to both in my preteens. Plus, I'd also been too young to appreciate Led Zeppelin's work in their heyday. So I discovered this band late. & by that, I mean when was in high school in 1980, just months before they broke up due to the death of their drummer, John Bonham.
When I heard THIS, & other songs like Dancing Daze, Black Dog, Rock n' Roll, Communication Breakdown, & All My Love, (all of which I'd highly recommend for future reactions from you) I couldn't get enough of these guys.
This song was just 9 years old, but already considered a rock classic among my peers.

Where Led Zeppelin excel is in their blues orientated songs.
They have a ton of fantasy based songs (Lord of the Rings). Misty Mountain Hop, Over the Hills and Far Away, Ramble on.
Slide guitar (Travelling Riverside Blues) ,smooth baselines, fantastic drummer (RIP John), and Robert Plants soothing vocals
A lot of people consider them a pioneer of ‘heavy metal’ they’re not.
They’re a blues orientated rock band. Possibly the best ever.
Also, they have the best opening song to a debut album ever….literally ever.

A Zeppelin is a dirigible or balloon type airship that is steerable, 🤔 a friend told them their new band would crash like a lead Zeppelin (refering to the crash of the Hindenburg Zeppelin) so as a joke they used that for the bands name. Led Zeppelin 😅
Creating their own style of rock nothing else compares to it they are referred to as the rock gods.
