    Austin, Tim, and Chris Chatham wrote this one. All but two of their last album are originals. It’s a bittersweet song for many of us who live in the south. I believe they were in the Red Rocks area. It turned out to be a bitterly cold day and our southern boys don’t do so well in the cold-Tim hates cold weather. Chance takes the lead in a number of songs: Brothers in Arms, Brother, Sea Shanty Medley, Cover Me Up, and more.

    It’s an original. Tim wrote it. It’s so beautiful. (That’s his good friend Chris on guitar). Chance was the other singer. Chance has a lot of leads…his latest that he wrote is Skull & Bones. It’s a great pirate song. Chance leads in I Can’t Outrun You, Helplessly Hoping, Some Girls Do, Cover Me Up, Yours. On their latest album So Long Dixie 12 of the 14 songs are originals. Good reaction Josh!🥰

    This is an original by Tim, Austin, Adam Wakefield (from Texas Hill) and Chris Chatham (guitar player). Adam is playing the harmonica with just his voice. Chance has a lot of songs, try checking out Yours or Cover Me Up. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.

    Home Fries notice RIGHT OFF - this is embellished with the fine Guitar talent of Friend and collaborator with the band and individual members in combination on side gigs .... He IS Chris Chatham - an excellent Guitar, Mandolin and Excellent singer ( see/hear TIM, Austin with Him on Video of My Maria - joined there by Chris Marion - BASS GUITAR, Veteran Sebastian Beyoun - keyboards. Love the song. Penned by Chatham, Austin & Tim I believe.

    Tim, Austin & Chance are all song writers and Home Free has lots of originals as well as covers. Each of the men in Home Free also has their own channel(s) with originals and covers. Tim, Austin, Chris Chatham and Adam Wakefield (of Texas Hill) wrote this one. Tim & Austin also have a side project with a consortium of singer/song writer/musicians "Sweet & Low Music Co." which includes Chris Chatham & Jeffrey East along with others & guests. Some of it is available on y/t and it's terrific!

Chance wrote a song called Skull and Bones that a video game with the same title accepted it for their new game coming out you should react to that one it is done by Home Free it is a pirates themed song. Adam Rupp did the harmonica sound that you can see better in Man of constant sorrow cover they did. Thanks for a great reaction

    You gotta check out Home Free's cover of the Trace Atkins song "I Can't Outrun You." It's my favorite Chance song. Although I would have to say that "Skull and Bones" is giving it a good run for its money! Chance also has a solo project called "Pancho and Lefty" most famously covered by Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard. I hope you will also listen to his collaboration with Hound and the Fox. They did a hauntingly beautiful cover of "Poor Wayfaring Stranger" The problem with recommending Home Free songs is that they are all good!

    Tim and Austin formed a new band last year call Sweet & Low Co. which includes Chris, and his wife's sister, who plays fiddle, Jeffery East, who is a songwriter and singer who has been featured by Home Free with a couple of his songs, and Ernie Halter a friend of both Tim's and Chris's who plays percussion and multiple instruments. You might check that band out and they have a number of live performance videos you can view.

    Hey Josh, great to see ya! Original song and a message we all need to realize -- our racism & prejudices can't outlive us. Put an end to them now; the world will suffer less in the future if we do. Chance has lead on "Some Girls Do", "I Can't Outrun You", and most of "Workin' For a Living" which is a spoof of Anchorman. Any of those are really good and see ya on the next one!

    That was Adam doing his "nomonica" and Chris Chatham on the guitar who is a long time friend and collaborator with Tim. You will see him in a couple videos as well as solo projects with Austin and Tim like "My Maria". Also, although not music, if you watch "Southerner in the Snow" which is Tim driving up north, Chris is his shotgun. He has a great voice as well. The story is during rehearsal he sat in with Home Free and was playing guitar....and they just knew it had to be that way.

    @cmitchell7347 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Adam's 'nomonic' can also be experienced in their 'Man of Constant Sorrow' and 'Workin' for a Livin' (feat Chance) videos. So cold when they recorded this Chris was using hand warmers so he could move his fingers on the guitar. I'm not from the South, never even visited, but this brings the feels. Very melancholy, the lyrics give one pause.
    Another vote for Chance in his 'I Can't Outrun You' video. A fave video which doesn't get a lot of reaction is 'Finally Free.' Away from HF, he shines in everything he does with The Hound + The Fox showing his balladeer side. He has some great listens on his own channel...I'm partial to his cover of Olivia Rodrigo's 'Drivers License.'

    Hi Josh, this is their own song from their latest Album named the same. Austin, Tim, the guy playing guitar (Chris Chatham) and another guy from Texas Hill's group wrote this song. They were in Colorado earlier this year for a show. My home state! They decided to film at looks like Red Rocks (Morrison, Co) or Garden of the Gods down in (Colorado Springs, CO). Chance takes "lead" on Can't Outrun You, Cover Me (watch that all the way to the end), Some Girl's Do, One Man Band, Try Everything (his first song with Home Free), Helpless Hoping. Rupp and his no-monica did their thing again. Thank you for the reactions!

    This is an original co-written by Tim, Austin & Chris Chatham. Very emotional song for me, because of the way I was raised in a racist home, I had to say "So Long" to Dixie myself. I'll always be a Southern boy, but I've learned to go past my racist upbringing.

    Can't lie but this song and Mr are my favorites from this album of the same name. The meaning behind this song was described by Tim very well saying that he and Austin grew up in the south. But felt maybe a little different about some of their traditions and way of thinking there. I know some HomeFrys were kind of offended. Others could explain it better than I, but I loved the song and what do I know I'm from the West.😂 A song that Chance takes the lead and I don't think you have reacted to is "Working For a Living" . The old Huey Lewis song. Its funny and shows off Chances talent as well as Adam's nomonica. Thanks again.😊❤

    Another great original song! This is such a beautiful heartfelt melancholy song. Tim's lead was awesome along with all the guy's harmonies & Adam's harmonica sounds were great as usual. I don't mind having an instrument played once in awhile in a song. It was tastefully done in the background without taking over. It added a nice element. Also like the scenery in Colorado.

    Blood, Sweat, and Tears has a song by this name, and many reactors were misled by the title. As others have said, this is an original by Tim, Austin, Chris and Adam Wakefield from Texas Hill. Adam was doing the no-monica. Chris was providing guitar while they were writing it and it seemed like an integral part of the song, so they kept it in. He and Tim have been collaborating for over 20 years by now.
