- After being listed for nearly a year and a half i have finally been able to sell my old dirty Detroit. Old engine has made me a lot of money but its time to go. While I am at it I decided to fix my flag pole made out a corkscrewed joint from a oil well. #oilfield #detroit #diesel #ol2Stroker #twostroke
👍👍👍You get the job done. Very interesting flag pole design.
It's one of a kind as tubing parts in the hole and dropped and creates the corkscrew. I fished that one out of the hole around 2011. It's too tall so it bends like it is. I used to straighten it but I gave up.
I loved the rendition of Our National Anthem at the end.
@@shawnwright2356 thank you I was hoping people would stick around for it. I just made it into a short for those who don't. She initially made it for me for my intro but turns out I don't like doing intros.
I had a gin pole bed with homemade long poles and I picked up another gin pole bed and in one of the pictures I took you could actually see the poles bowing out😂😂
Haha nice, super safe
Use ANTI-SEZ on the threads next time -- It will come apart easier
I did, used the silver seal stuff.
It's not temporary if it works
How long are your poles? In process of building similar setup.
Those are 16.5, they are way too tall for that truck. Normally they are 10' and are pretty handy and safe at that height. I'm going to slide in 2 3/8 x 10' on my normal ones and make a set with both at 15' for temporary tall stuff. I hope to build/buy a medium size in the near future with 15'
@@diesellivesmatterappreciate the info.
@@Jim-hk7vs your welcome, if your in the Midwest you might be able to find a winch bed for kinda cheap, a rolling tailboard is very handy to have. Next Saturdays video will showcase why it's good to have one.
