I'm quite partial to the 2 cent coin..my collecting journey started with one..I got it back in change from a local gas station..they gave it to me thinking it was a nickel lol
What year? I got on in charge as a quarter in 1987.
The coin itself is an 1865...I got it in roughly 2016-2017 from the local gas station... definitely the best one I've received in change...I've gotten 3 v nickels from that same gas station since...and came across almost a whole roll of wheaties from one across the street
That is so awesome. Wow

I starte collecting coin and i have Watched so many of your videos i have Learned so much
I have my own homemade type set album. I've collected one of every type I wanted. Then I just added some here and there. While I enjoy the 'trime' (3 cent silver), I wanted to get every type ( of which there are 3 ) and a type set is 1. Just got a 3 ring binder, flips, and pages. Boom type set done.
Great video as always. Thanks Max.
I like that idea as well. Has room for all the new Pennies and nickels as well
Try the 20th century type set.. Whitman makes it that a Great starter coin set.....
I'm doing THIS❤!!!!! PERFECT project with my Grandkids to teach them coinage & history! Thk youuuuu😊
Amazing!
i remember my first 2 cent piece. though no longer in my type set, i still have it in my collection. it’s literally AG-03 or FR-2 lol
Happy thanksmas
Good idea for a video!
Funny thing, what started my coin collecting journey was 2 things:
1) An 1869 2 cent in my dads drawer
2) Me finding out that half dollars were a thing 😂
Yessss
Great video! I would say adding a steel cent and war nickel might be possible to squeeze in with the rest aswell for under $100
Ooh you're so right. A steel cent and war nickel would be perfect
Wassup Silverpicker
Suuuup
Eisenhower dollar. If you can't get it from the bank for 1.00, you can get it from a coin shop for $1.50
Good day Silver Picker, I finally purchased a Dansco Type set book and have been looking at coins prices of coins to add that I didn't already have. I was looking at the Liberty head nickel no cent and saw that someone was selling gold plated ones. I'm not a fan of plated coins but was wondering because of the history if if was something to consider for the type set. I'm leaning towards the original but wanted to get your opinion. Thanks in advance. I hope things are getting better over there, please stay safe and we will keep you in our prayers.
Loved the video! What do you recommend to collect after finishing the basics in this type set. Are there any other albums or coin series you recommend to collect?
The US gold type set will take a little while 😜
My favorite albums are the type ones but the 19th century dansco one is pretty pricy for just the book. So I printed out all of the types and put it in a binder to make my own homemade one! Works like a charm
I like that idea a lot!
I have one. I have some really great coins in mine. I am missing only 3. Trade and the 2 seated dollars. Awesome books!!
Yep, I'm missing the two seated dollars and a capped bust half. Working on getting them now.
@@Silverpicker I have been waiting and watching for them also. The trade dollar is easy but I'm waiting for the right one. The 2 seated dollars are gonna be tough and expensive. I have some really great coins in mine. I wish I could post a pic on here. I cut open an uncirculated 40% silver bicentennial set for those 3. And I have a gold plated holographic coin in quarter spot of my state. Used my graduation year proof Sacagawea. Birth proof silver dime for the new dime. Put proof 64 Kennedy in there. My commemorative halves are all uncirculated but one. I have a 1892 worlds fair, stone mountain, the Pilgrim one and the Oregon trail (circulated) in it. I have a pretty nice set so far. There is a lot I'd like to upgrade still but most of them are forever coins in their spot.
How about overseas sir, how much is the payment for the shipping? On watnot...
Thanks.💖👍👍👍
Sad I'm in Canada..I wish I was in the US
Love the sweater. Can I get one with a hood?
The xmas one is only available in crew neck, but I have lots of others with hoods: silverpicker.creator-spring.com/
Any opinions about storing coins in these folders?
I love it
Where did the 1909 VDB go?
What do you mean?
@@Silverpicker sorry I put that in before you explained it sorry and I love your videos so much I started to collect coins this helped me out a lot
I see the coronet large cents even cheaper than that when they have a hole in them or cleaned and they are only a few bucks
Very true
Hey Silver picker
Hey!
😮
Sp I have a spare seated dollar from 1847 if you need one for your type set.
I do indeed! Please message me @thesilverpicker on Instagram!
You forgot the half cent
Very cool... would you ever do a canadian version of this... or even a world coin version? Great vid, sir!
That’s a great idea!
WHAT DID TJHE BOOK COST?
I got it $25 but they're pretty hard to find now for under $50-100
How do I send pictures of my bills to you?
@thesilverpicker on Instagram
Us coins are only affordable if you live in the Us :(
Blud we are coin collectors we know the 1909 S VDB we do not need a pep talk about the most notorious coin in the USA
So feel free not to watch...
That one Indian head cent that was for a $1 will now be for sale at $15 on your channel lol
I've had the most fun with the jefferson nickel. Trying to get every nickel with steps
Wow that's a real challenge! Love it
@@Silverpicker Some are harder then heck. 70's and early 80's had little quality control. 82 83 had no coin sets.
Stop hating on countrie based of their history (nazi germany and many more) usa is bombing countires too 😢
Another hand talker.
Goodbye sir
Another entitled complainer.
