Having worked with kids before, my initial idea was really mostly "A bunch of different papers and maybe fabrics with different nice textures, colours, patterns, etc, that the child is allowed to cut into pieces and then glue together again" cause that one works for almost any kid of that age (also, in this case, I wouldn't even have to be the one to clean up the whole mess afterwards for once), but when I saw that tray I knew it would work out even better. @@hannahbolton7586 I don't know how television/film production works in the UK, especially when it comes to trade unions, but at least in the US, she would have been paid at the union rate, even if she wasn't a union "actress." An infant here in the States would have been paid for appearing on camera. And again, I don't know the rules/laws in the UK, but here in the US, it's actually the child being paid, as in, the cheques are made out to the child. And I assume there's similar protections in the UK, but 20% of what the child makes has to go into a special account (called a "Coogan account" in America) that the parents aren't allowed to touch.
