    The clicking noise is the cog. As soon as you hear that you need to get the tiny little grub screw and put loctite on it and screw it in tight. If you do not use loctite it will vibrate a bigger groove in the motor arm and you will only have a worse noise. Loctite and tighten it up and it will be all good

      Dear god, last time I forgot to locktight the screws on my motor mount of one of my old boards and the vibration took the screws out.. at 37km/h on that board I scratched the motor terribly

    Best to push off and trigger instead of just standing static. I'm still riding my All Terrain single.belt since 2014. Awesome machines.

    The new firmware update will disable the reverse mode. Most people never used it and didn’t want to accidentally hit rev by accident. You have to send your remote to Evolve to have it updated. I’ve owned my GT for 2 years and it runs like brand new with over 500 miles on it!! :))) BTW, updating the remote will also update the font on your display

    Great video. For the braking test though, it doesn't count if you jump off the board. Sure the board stopped, but you didn't.

    AE Board has a brush motor AT drop deck board for $580. It's awesome if you new and don't wanna spend triple the amount on a Carbon just yet.

      Hows that maple wood? Should the carbon be the better deal? Looking for my bored to take a beating and a good dip if it were to happen.

  • @MikevomMars
    @MikevomMars 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does it have some kind of suspension? Is it comfortable to ride along gravel roads for a longer time or do you feel every little pebble?

    • @K2d4network
      @K2d4network  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No suspension, but the off road wheels are filled with air so it feels like any other motorized vehicle. You will feel big bumps but gravel is no problem. The only thing that gets ya is standing for long periods of time, you will feel a little bit of that in your legs.

    • @MikevomMars
      @MikevomMars 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Would the Bamboo GTX a bit more comfortable then for longer rides on gravel (since it is more flexible)? Or is the Carbon the better choice for longer trips on dirt / gravel? I am not sure which one to choose 😯

    • @K2d4network
      @K2d4network  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve never rode the bamboo series, but it looks like it has a pretty thick deck, so I’m not sure there would be much (if any) flex to it either. Personally I think the Bamboo series looks a little better than the Carbon series does and if they had the Bamboo at the time I bought mine I probably would have went with that. But I wouldn’t worry about the ride quality on either, they feel great with the rubber all terrain wheels, it would be very hard to want to go back to the plastic ones.

    • @MikevomMars
      @MikevomMars 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am still not sure which one to buy for my offroad tracks here. It's a hard decision - the bamboo is more flexible (and might probably be more gentle to the legs offroad), but the carbon allows for a higher speed since there is less wobble and it also has these bevelled surfaces next to the footrest, which probably give you a good hold in the terrain, if you cover them with griptape. Argh... hard decision for me 😫

    • @xSynatiiC
      @xSynatiiC 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ich würde warscheinlich das Bamboo nehmen. Mit meinem alten Koowheel board bekomme ich 36KmH hin. Das reicht völlig. Außerdem sind mir beim cabon 2150€ echt zu teuer für die 2:1 variante.

    so can I use it as a non-electric longboard? do the wheels turn smoothly if the engine is switched off?

    • @K2d4network
      @K2d4network  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does have a little bit of resistance when it’s turned off, and because of this your legs will get tired pushing it like a normal skateboard and for this reason I never use mine while it’s turned off, which is a bummer because when it dies it sucks to carry or pull behind you.

      So far I’ve not had any problems with the new remote. I love the design because you can put it in your pocket without bumping the trigger. Gotta get it out more to put it to the full test. I have had issues with my board randomly shutting off (I was using the old remote at the time) and have not had enough ride time to verify if that was the old remotes connection or an issue with the board itself.... some others have had the same issue. Of course I preordered the board when it was first announced so I have a earlier version. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask!

      +Rigo Riguez definitely one of my favorite purchases in 2017. The biggest downfalls are the weight/size (awkward to carry into places) and the design of the remote (needs remote case to fit into pocket without worrying about damaging the trigger mechanism). It’s got a wrist strap so I usually leave it dangle on my hand. This is ok, but when opening doors it usually swings and bangs against the door. Kinda wish they went with a style of remote similar to the boosted board.

      +Sam Lavea its rated for 220lbs so i'm not sure how far it can be pushed. The deck could crack, I have seen others that have had that issue.

    Is it possible to move the board without the motor? Because if so you could try to get a bit of speed by accelerating with your feet and then start to activate the motors. Hope you understand what im saying 😂

      +nrunner MC sometimes I give a little push when starting out, but it doesn't spin freely enough to make me want to push for too long. It has a bit of resistance to it.

    why isn't he looking into the camera? I see a lot of tubers looking at themselves, when they film, instead of looking into the lense. But that's when they look sideways, not like him, above the camera. It feels like he is talking to the camera man.

      Soooooo since the time you made this video, do you think the Evolve boards are worth the price? I wanna get one in the next few months, but $1,800 is pretty steep. I've seen other alternatives, but...

    • @K2d4network
      @K2d4network  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes and no... I like the durability, speed, large tires, and mile range this board has to offer and also the new R2 remote resembles that of the much talked about boosted board which is much better over the original design. I find myself not using the board as much as I’d like because of its size and weight. When going on vacations or traveling is hard to leave it at home because of its fun factor, but it does take up a good amount of space in the car because of its length and large wheels. It’s almost annoying to carry because it’s so heavy. I’m used to manual labor, I’ve done it all my life and even for me it’s still boarder line exhausting. Most times I find myself just letting the back wheels drag on the ground while I hold the front. Getting off the board and picking it up to take inside anywhere is just awkward most of the time. If those issues won’t bother you the I’d say go for it, but in a world where slimmer and lighter are becoming more popular I’d say wait for something else to come out.
