Such a beautiful pattern. Think I'm going to encourage my daughter to make it for her first crochet garment (happily she has a gorgeous weight 4 yarn that I've been itching to get my own paws on since she got it back in July!) Everything I make for her is 'for the yard' (horses) but think this is one pattern that is a bit too good to get entangled with hay! It deserves to be shown off 'about town'. Think it's high time I subscribed to your newsletter! Thank you for all that you share. xxx
It's perfect for this time of the year. I find your patterns to be the easiest to understand, and it's great there's video in case you are unsure. I'm learning so much as a new crocheter, thank you 😊
Just finished it ❤ I did it with 3 different colors, changing colors each 4 rows and it looks great. Although I did it smaller than my own size so it doesn't look oversize like yours it fits I think I'll do my own size next time since the arms were a bit short for this one but definitely a great pattern and you're a great tutor thank you ❤❤
Hi, I've made several of your patterns and you're one my my favorite designers! I am having trouble w row 3 of this pattern, i finished the repeat, but always get 2 stitches remaining instead of 1? I don't understand how it stays an even count
I ❤❤❤ your design what do you called the the first design stitches The second design is lemon peel one dch and one sch this is my first stamped to crochet in many years it painful for my wrist.. But I love your design g so much I’ll give it a try. Incidental I don’t seems to be able to down load your free pattern. All I need is tutorial for the stitch design I’ve never seen it before thanks for sharing.
I want to start this tonight! I dont have a 5.5 mm...only a 5.25 and 6mm which one would you recommend? Im between xs and s.. but i want to keep it loose like how its fitted on you. Which hook and size would you recommend i do? Thank you ❤
I’m currently using a 5.5 and thought about downsizing to a 5.25! I think a 6mm might be too big, but I am no expert, by any means! I think if you start with a 5.25 you’ll be able to decide if you like it before you get too far and if not, then size up! Hope this helps!
Depends on how tight or loose your tension is! I would recommend making a quick gauge swatch with your first hook option, 5.25 and go from there. If your swatch is too small, go with the larger hook! If you have already started crocheting do a quick measure within the main body of the panel to check. The ribbing will be smaller than the listed width, because the main body widens out a bit with the stitches as yougo!
As you may know not all #4 medium weight yarn is the same size. If the yarn you’re using is a small #4 then I would use the 5.25mm. But if it’s a #4 that’s on the larger size I would use the 6mm. The bigger the hook the softer your sweater will turn out.
Hi! I am fairly new to crocheting and am having a bit of trouble with the gauge for this one. Am I supposed to do 1sc and then 1dc in the next stitch or skip one so that the count doesn’t go up?
I have a question I'm currently making this and I'm noticing as I'm making the back panel one side is staying straight and the other side is curving out.....am I doing something wrong?
14:46 I’m confused about the neckline directions and what I’m seeing in the video. It doesn’t look like it ends where it’s written before you start the neckline shaping. Help??
@EvelynAndPeterCrochet what is your bust size? I'm a 38" bust and would normally make a medium size but I don't want it to be too baggie. I like the way yours is fitting you
I’m not understanding the size chart? The XS is 24” on the front and back panel?? 48” is huge for an XS. I had to size up to a 6mm to meet gauge and I’m at 47 rounds of ribbing and it’s measuring 12.5” Am I doing something wrong?
It’s two panels. One for the front and one for the back, are you taking into account that your ribbing will be doubled by the time you have both panels? Could be why
It took me forever to realize there's a dog barking in the background or something and i kept thinking it was my baby over the monitor. 😅 Still a good video.
I'm very confused the written pattern says to go to row 59 and then tie off and then you start your neckline shaping on row 52 for a large? How am I going to row 59 but starting the neck at 52?
There appears to be an error in the pattern on row 3 (which explains some of the problems reported in the comments here). There is an even number of stitches, so you won’t have “1 stitch remaining” at the end of the row. Just finish with your final sc through the full stitch. 👍🏻
hi! The reason it says until 1 st remains is because it needs to be a regular st worked into it, not a BLO only stitch like the prior ones. So 1 Dc in first, then you alternate dc and sc across in the BLO, then 1 normal St in the last.
@@EvelynAndPeterCrochet yes, but that would usually be written “until 2 stitches remain, dcblo, sc”. And it does explain where people could be putting an extra stitch resulting in just that one side of the work increasing 😉
@@EvelynAndPeterCrochet Btw, I’m just about to do the side seams to finish my jumper. It worked up super fast, and the variety of stitches stopped me from getting bored. Can’t wait to finish it tonight - I think this will be one of those jumpers you just live in 😊
I just finished this two days ago and it’s probably one of my favorite sweaters I’ve made.
ahh! So happy to hear that! Thank you!!
@@EvelynAndPeterCrochet You’re welcome but I should be thanking you! It’s my second pattern from you that I’ve done. Both were easy to follow!
Hello. How many grams of wool did you use? Thank you
@@brisaleonardi9946 I used almost 7 balls of the yarn she used for the size xs.
Definitely making this my next project. Thank you. I am a visual learner so having the tutorial is awesome.
Adorable Foggy Shores. My next pull over project.
Thank you! Hope you love it!

Thank you so much, I finished twice, for my mom and sister, they love it, and now time to crochet your beanie😊
Looks great! I’m going to crochet it for my girlfriend for December 3rd and I’ll edit this comment on December 13th and tell you what she thinks!
Well??
Beautiful Sweater! I love the colour of the wool.
So pretty. Love these stitches. Thanks so much for sharing. Have a good night!!!❤
Thank you for posting this. It's perfect. I've shared this link with my students. ✨
Just ordered my yarn for it! Joanna has it sale right now. So excited
Thank you for your wonderful pattern. I wonder if 1 ball Pound of love is enough for this project (same size as yours). Thanks again ❤
I am waiting for my yarn to arrive to start this ❤ I can’t wait 🥰

Love this pattern ❤
Hi! Im making the sweater right now and it starts to look amazing! One question:is the neckline only for the front? Or also for the backpannel?

Yes that happens to me
Perhaps you have been counting the turning chains as stitches? Is your stitch count remaining the same? (Always worth checking it every few rows) 😊
Hie. I am making this sweater for my son. How can i make the neckline higher and ensure his head fits through it
Magnifique, merci beaucoup ❤
Love love love. I’ve been trying to find the perfect pattern for a throw and just found it 😍
14:46 I’m confused about the neckline directions and what I’m seeing in the video. It doesn’t look like it ends where it’s written before you start the neckline shaping. Help??
Are you wearing a size small in the video? Can’t decide if I want to do true to size or size down.
I'm wearing a small! If you want it a little less baggy I would size down!
Thank you!! Can’t wait to make it!
@EvelynAndPeterCrochet what is your bust size? I'm a 38" bust and would normally make a medium size but I don't want it to be too baggie. I like the way yours is fitting you
Can someone comment if this is beginner friendly and, if so, how many hours might someone expect to devote to making?
To make the sleeves regular and not balloon style, would you just do one single crochet in the ribbing instead of the 2?
Amazing 🎉
Can I use a weight 5 yarn?
Notes for myself
Doin row 32-35
Super cute. I will get back to this one. 😂
haha thank you! It'll be ready and waiting for you!
I made this sweater from a medium yarn and it came out super heavy, is it supposed to be like that?
I’m not understanding the size chart? The XS is 24” on the front and back panel?? 48” is huge for an XS. I had to size up to a 6mm to meet gauge and I’m at 47 rounds of ribbing and it’s measuring 12.5”

I am starting mine now
Normally a size LG or xl but I'm already at 115 rows of the ribbing and it's tight still. Is that normal
It’s two panels. One for the front and one for the back, are you taking into account that your ribbing will be doubled by the time you have both panels? Could be why
Can you please tell me measurements for size L
What size are you wearing in the video?
small!
I folded and bought the kit. I thought it came with a printed copy!
It comes with the download link for the printable version! They should have emailed it to you but if not let me know and I can get it to you!
I made a size medium but the sleeves looked way too small, so I added rows for size XL sleeves and they’re still way too small 🙂🙂🙂🙂
It took me forever to realize there's a dog barking in the background or something and i kept thinking it was my baby over the monitor. 😅 Still a good video.
haha sorry!! my dogs are crazy, I try and do record when its calm but that sometimes doesn't happen lol
why does 1 side stay straight while the other side starts to widen out ?
I'm very confused the written pattern says to go to row 59 and then tie off and then you start your neckline shaping on row 52 for a large? How am I going to row 59 but starting the neck at 52?
If you look at the section of video about neckline shaping, you’ll see you have to pick up stitches for the second side
How long to make this?
The pattern online isn’t very specific on sizes
Rachel..... where is Evelyn ❤
Wow! You are fast. Confusing and I crochet. Looks like I might have to get the pattern. Slow down girl.
You can slow down the video by tapping on video and you will see on the top right a cog wheel. Click that and you will find the video speed
What size is it ???
small! The other sizes are on my blog as well
I’ve been following this woman’s Instagram for years. I thought her name was Evelyn. 🤣
I thought so too!
It isn't?

I’m making this now and man I knew I had tight tension but I didn’t think I had to go up a full hook size and sweater size tight tension lol
haha and I have a very loose tension so thats probably why!!
